Delicious juice, fresh food, great service. I had no idea they were here until Sunday afternoon when Lassens is closed and I desperately needed something healthy! Sorry Lassens — I still love you but I’m fairly certain I will only be getting my juice And smoothies here now.

Cute little spot on Sunset. Came here after a long day of sweaty yoga left me in need of a quick recharge. Very low-key, but delicious! Plus, they hooked it up when I didn’t have quite enough change for the boost I wanted. Great place, great service, and my frozen banana smoothie was scrumptious!

We felt like having sandwiches while in the neighborhood and found this little shop on Unilocal. We got there 30 minutes before closing and the young lady working that night was patient with us as we studied the menu on the wall. We settled on a tuna salad sandwich and chipotle turkey — both on wheat. They were good and fresh but nothing super remarkable. The sandwiches are about $ 6 each. I think I’ll come back next time to try a salad.

My boyfriend found this place for us after we went thrifting for the day and failed miserably. Most places were closed even tho posted signs and Unilocal said it would be open. We only bought about 5 items total between the two of us. So I’ve been doing a low carb/no carb/try to be healthy diet(as always) so my bf found this place and we got agua fresca for free, strawberries and cream, and a green smoothie. It was all very yummy. While we were there a few folks also came in. The agua fresca was pineapple or watermelon or strawberry. We went with pineapple! The strawberries and cream was more like condensed milk with granola, coconut flakes, and raisins. Very good. And my green smoothie was delicious! It was more on the sweet side vs bitter and overly green. So great to always find a pressed juice place. My boyfriend paid, so I don’t remember how much it cost. Would def visit again if I was in the neighborhood. We were thrifting all over LA so we ended up this way!

I love this place! I’m incredibly picky about sandwiches and the rosemary chicken salad sandwich is probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had. The juices and smoothies are also really good with a lot of healthy options, they actually blend everything through(unlike some of the expensive juicery places around here). YUMMY.

Small mom and pop shop in echo park that serves up healthy eats, juices, and smoothies. I personally love their acai bowls. They’ll even add more toppings for a few more cents. The staff is super friendly and the place is clean. It’s not like the upscale stuff popping up in the rest of the neighborhood but their products are great.

One of my all time favorite spots. Great paninis/sandwiches and so many choices of juices, acai bowls or Pitaya bowls. I love this place for everything they offer. I just wish it didn’t take as long waiting for food but nothing to drag out.

This place was delicious! I can’t believe I’ve never been here before. It’s way better than those other name brand juice places. They have all fresh fruit to get natural juices or fruit salad. I had a fresh fruit watermelon water. It was so good on this hit day. The owner also let me sample their homemade peanut butter, it was all natural and really good. I look forward to coming back !

Ok echo park hipster elite… This little hole in the wall is a local must do. For those of you who want a fresh fruit bowl, a salad, a fresh fruit smoothie or are juicing to recover from last night’s bad choices: this place is for you. It’s easy to miss but once you find it you’ll never overlook it again. They accommodate the pickiest of eaters(which abound in this hood) but still manages to keep its prices reasonable to cater to all Echo park residences, old and new. Refreshing, healthy and full of flavor is how I’d describe this friendly humble café. It lacks the creative décor that many EP places are branded with, but angelus doesn’t need to go the theme route. They just make good, simple, fresh, food. Hate waiting in line for brunch? Over the scene and be seen in spot? Just want a good honest healthy meal that’s less than your car payment? Well walk in, order and enjoy.

So simple yet delicious. Yummy sandwiches. Just took a long time to make a simple sandwich because there was only one person working register and also making the food. Besides that, everything was good.

Yep. This place is healthy, delicious, and affordable. It is a hidden gem in the midst of expensive juiceries. They also have really fresh salads with delicious herby dressings. I highly recommend.

Went here for lunch. Had the Rosemary chicken sandwich with toasted sourdough. The sandwich was delicious. The chicken had a lot of flavor and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. There was comfortable seating and the service was great. They were very friendly. I would suggest they have some chips for sale to add on to sandwich orders. They also did not recycle the glass bottled drink, but that’s neither here nor there. The sandwich was great!

This is HIDDENLA for sure. Local and amazing. Put down your overpriced juice, cold brew and other things that are void of community history and stop by this spot for an amazing smoothie! It’s hard to categorize this place as a hole in the wall since they are pretty digitally savvy using Unilocal!Check In perks and Square for credit cards. But the vibe is modest and focused on the food. It feels like it’s been there for a few decades with some elements of the interior run down. The owner was super friendly and lovely! She warmed me that my drink would be tart and was very patient. The watermelon frescas was amazing. It would hurt my heart if this place was ever taken over by something pretentious. This is a gem that needs to be saved along with the $ 8 barber shops and gritty tattoo parlors.

When I’m in town I love to grab a juice and my favorite is the Rise n Shine. My juice was ready in less than 2 minutes. Now that’s my mind of service!!!

I love this place. I have food allergies, and they are always really accommodating. I haven’t been in a few months but I can’t get their breakfast sandwich off my mind. I love the bionicos as well.

Food is tasty. The spicy chicken salad is interesting. They took plain spring mix salad, added celery cucumbers and bell peppers with a spicy vinegrette. Plain chicken breasts. It looks like those bagged, pre cooked chicken breasts. Over priced for salad. They took many plain ingredients, with very novel sauce. Agua fresco was great. Just a hint of sweetness Very slow service. Very disengaged cashier who did not try to explain the menu. No one was at the register when I first got there. They did the same for all the other customers. The other customers at the table didn’t look happy. The employees lack awareness and critical thinking. I don’t see service improving Pros — healthy, tasty, free agua fresco check in Cons — you can make it yourself, service, price

I just came here once and got a fresh mixed green juice and a smoothie to go, and both were excellent. Can’t wait to come back and try their sandwiches! Seems like a perfect place to pick up lunch to take for a picnic at Echo Park lake. Easy to miss, since it’s thankfully not mobbed by hipsters.

On my quest for a hunt of acai bowl, I stumbled upon Angelus Salad. Now, this review is based on a virgin’s perspective on a pitaya bowl and some experience perspective on an acai bowl. The only fact that crossed my mind when getting the pitaya bowl was that it could be the same consistency as an acai bowl. At least for Angelus Salad’s standpoint, it wasn’t. It was a bit more watery and very hard to actually eat with a spoon. I do like the bright fuschia color, because I’m so used to eating dragonfruit that is milky white in color. Personally, I would probably cut down the usage of honey on this bowl, as it overpowered the natural sweetness of the bowl. Giving the place a second try, I decided to get a standard acai bowl, the PB&A. Unfortunately, I felt the bowl was a bit on the sweet/liquid side. I felt the cocoa blended into the acai overpowered everything. Also, I was kind of weird out with big chunks of apples in my bowl; maybe I’m being a spoiled brat with other places giving me berries. The granola wasn’t to my liking, but that’s because I’m not a big fan of coconut flakes to begin with. Seems like the other items that Angelus serves are good. Maybe I’ll give those a try.

The spot for breakfast, lunch, or snacks for my husband and I is certainly Angelus Salads, a simple juice/sandwich/salad joint that has the most delicious surprises inside. Go in and order pretty much anything and you will leave with a huge smile on your face because your tongue will be dancing. When we had our wedding date approaching, we thought of having them cater it because a) they are delicious!, and b) we were having a picnic so we wanted to serve sandwiches and a summer salad, among other things. Sandwiches were going to be the main substantial food, so we wanted them to be really amazing! And they were! We served 5 different kinds of sandwiches, their watermelon salad, and a strawberry mint lemonade agua fresca that was gone almost immediately. All of it was so fitting to our sunset picnic wedding, and the food was a true success. We keep hearing from our friends and family about all the sandwiches,(the Mediterranean was the star!) and that super fresh watermelon mint salad with a home made balsamic vinegar reduction, yummy! Queue angelical chorus… AMAZING! We have made the wisest, most satisfying, most pleasant and rewarding choice of hiring Angelus Salads for catering our wedding! We are sooo happy to have met Ms. Silvia and her daughter Fernanda, who have not only been so accommodating, but also so helpful with some of the decisions we had to make. Fernanda is a true guide on all things event, she is tasteful and delicate, wise and informed on her advices. She dedicated a lot of time to making sure we were completely happy with the choices, we tasted everything before hand, and requested some changes including the making of some gluten-free sandwiches. They accommodated every request made. They really brought the life to the party through their delicious sandwiches, salad, and agua fresca, everything was so delicious and our family and friends cannot stop raving about it. THANKYOUSOOOMUCHANGELUSSALADS!!! Before I end this, I’d also like to suggest you try the watermelon mint agua fresca as soon as you possibly can! Your body will thank you for it during these hot summer days.

This is a cute, unpretentious little place to grab a fresh juice, a quick bite to eat, or like me, a yummy sweet strawberry raspado. I had a few minutes until my friend’s reading at the nearby Stories Books & Café so I happened to stop inside here and see if I could have a little pick me up. The interior is vibrantly colored with an array of fresh offerings and a few small tables. I decided to try the raspado fresas, which is essentially a Mexican shaved ice, for a reasonable $ 3.50. It was perfectly flavored, sweet but not cloyingly sweet, and just what I needed after sitting in Dodgers opening day traffic then hunting for parking. The friendly lady helping me also put a strawberry on the straw and the cup was a generous size. I’m sure I’ll be back, I also noticed on their instagram they have a strawberry & coconut raspado that sounds heavenly!
