About 3 years ago… my grandfather, a respected medical physician for over 50 years, began developing Dementia after a short stint in the Hospital. This once strong and powerful man, for the first time in his life became the patient. After researching many different «Caregiver» referral agencies, I contacted Steffi Gaines at A Better Way in Home Care. She single-​handedly changed our lives! After finding the right match for my grandfather, Steffi sent us a wonderful Caregiver name «Judy». Not only did Judy become an integral part of our family, but she became a dear friend for my grandfather. I will never be able to thank Steffi enough, for bringing this angel into our lives. It was my grandfather’s wish to remain at home until the day he passed– and because of these kind people, he did! I highly recommend A Better Way in Home Care to care for your loved ones. In 2004, we needed a caregiver to assist with my MS-​disabled partner, and A Better Way was recommended by a friend. The hiring process was easy and comforting: Steffi spoke with us on the phone at length, describing her business practices as well as thoroughly assessing our needs. She sends her clients hand-​picked prospective caregivers to meet and interview; the second person we interviewed has been with us for nearly 12 years now! She is totally capable and special, as I believe all of the caregivers represented by ABW are. No complaints from us about this agency; they even have convenient online billing.

ABW took great care of my grandmother, who had a very hard time relinquishing control to anyone. She never believed she needed help, but when she finally got it, she was ok wit it. She didn’t mind the help, but most of all she enjoyed the company. Steffi did an amazing job of finding someone suitable to our needs, and also did a great job making the experience better for us as a family. I am eternally grateful for everything ABW and Steffi did for my grandmother and for our family, and I recommend that there is no one more caring than Steffi.

ABW took care of my grandmother with cancer. Using ABW was the best decision we could have possibly made to give the last months with Grandma a pleasant experience. The owner Steffi really knows how to match the right caregiver with right personality of the client.
