This restaurant does great lunches. We were there last Friday and the food was very tasty. Paul had the fish and chips lunch special and I had the Fettuccine San Remo, both dishes were delicious. Service was good and the manager of the restaurant, Adril Renanza, was extremely professional and friendly!

The waiter spilled the food all over my daughter and the restaurant did nothing to compensate.

I love the almond milk latte here! I have dined here before but I’m hooked with the coffee! I’d much rather come here than wait in the line at coffee bean and still get a mediocre beverage. David by far knows how to multi task and engage patrons while busy lunch rush. He is great at multitasking and is very personable. Love the coffee and love the service!

The food here is always wonderful. Today I had the poached salmon and it was very light and very tasty. I can stay on a diet if I get this type of great fare. The best part My waiter was Jim. SOOOOOOO nice, helpful and in spite of it being crazy busy he was so friendly to each of his tables. I had waited 10 min. to be seated and was ignored by an obviously angry manager. Jim was the only one who at least acknowledged me, apologized for the wait, and then had me seated in a few minutes. I was so impressed with Jim, I left him a $ 20 tip.

Birthday lunch with my girlfriend. Coconut shrimp salad($ 17.00): the salad was dry but I liked its pineapple and mango. The shrimps were not too bad and tasted fresh. Too bad they were overcooked. Small portion for the price. My girlfriend liked her salad. 3 stars! 59th and Lex is almost yummylicious!

The 59th& Lex in Sherman Oaks has much better service. I usually sit at the counter, which I did on this visit as well. The server seemed to have issues with the Bloomie’s employees who stopped to pick up their coffee or take out. Quite a bit of bickering, which is really not conducive to a peaceful lunch! Food was good, but service was quite slow — about 30 minutes to get my salad and it was not peak lunchtime.

A little disappointing by it’s looks, it’s fine but it’s not Bloomy’s fine. The menu is a 2-pager, long sheets, filled with soups, salads, pastas, and sandwiches. A few entrees, but I would say this is café fare. Perhaps, 59th& Lex Café would be most appropriate. First impression: it’s for the old, very old. Hunched over men and women eating soup. I’m not mean, I’m observant. This adds/detracts from the experience. Why? Some decent priced items for the area. No qualms about the service: efficient, pleasant, and on-top of it. The food? No issues there either. 59& Lex Burger($ 12) — a mix of fine chuck, brisket, and short rib(mmmm…), cheddar cheese, sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, and a super fresh/delicious/seeded bun. Very good, and very worthy.(4.5 stars) In the end, it’s not the food or the service, it’s the overall experience that is lacking.

We decided to eat somewhere not that far from the bloomingdale’s in Century city so we went to the 5th and lex and it was pretty good. We ordered the fettuccine alfredo pasta to share and curly fries. Milkshake and coke to drink. The staff was friendly and they served us well.

Awfully good lunch and over-the-top service. Burgers, salads, pasta and great skinny fries. Skip the food court. Added bonus — black & white cookies, which are the bomb. A hit!

For the price, it’s pretty over-rated. It may be novel to eat in a Bloomingdales women’s clothing section but once you get past that the food was sort of bland in my opinion. I got the blackened chicken pasta. The dried tomatoes gave it some action but the sauce was not very flavorful. My wife got the 59th burger. I ate some of it and again didn’t find it had too much in terms of distinctive flavor in the meat or sauce. The shoestring fries were good and our waiter was nice though.

I came here for lunch while shopping at Bloomies with my mom the other day… I’ve never eaten at any of these department store cafes before, even though I’ve heard they’re good. I highly recommend the almond crusted chicken salad, it comes with brie and figs and balsamic vinaigrette… omg, seriously one of the best salads I’ve ever had… I want to go back just to have it again!

I had no idea Bloomingdales had a restaurant inside until I stopped by to pick up some things. BF and I decided to give it a try, expecting just a small assortment of sandwiches. We were pleasantly surprised to see an extensive menu of delicious options! The service here was great and the food was better than we had expected haha :) I ordered the steak and eggs omelette with potatoes and it was delicious! The coffee was good as well. we will definitely be back!

You give me that kind of something Want it all the time, need it everyday On a scale of one to ten I’m at a hundred Never get enough, I can’t stay away at…59th and Lex! — Ariana Grande(the way) What for me to do at Bloomies… stand around while my friend looks at clothes and tries stuff on and grab her different sizes of the same things orrrr wander around and spot 59th and Lex? It seems odd to come straight here just for food but if you’re already shopping here, this is a great place for lunch. I was here for dinner but based on the menu, it seems more appropriate for the early afternoon. I ordered the vegetable lasagna daily special that came with a side of Caesar salad. I think the salad was supposed to be a half portion too but this thing was huge on its own. It was nice that the food came out rather quickly too so all in all, seems like a great spot to take your shopping buddies and relax. Will be back for lunch sometime for a half soup /half sandwich.

This place never disappoints. Went here recently and grabbed a soup and ½ sandwich. The roasted tomato soup was delish and hit the spot. Paired it with a chicken salad sandwich on toasted sourdough, which was surprisingly light; I think they barely use mayo and it tasted fabulous! Craving it now again! Will definitely be back for a casual lunch while shopping!

Located in Bloomy in Century City. No expectations, just hungry while browsing around for BF sales few days ago. Sandwich was good, so was the soup. Attentive waiter and overall good exp. If you are shopping and looking for place to have relaxing lunch or even cup of tea, I recommend this place.

I have been going to 59th& Lex for many years; prior to moving to the Bay Area and recently after moving back to LA. I will admit the food is good. The service, or lack of, is the issue. For years, I had no issues with the service. ninety-five percent of the time. For the last year, the service has decreased significantly at a rate of no return. It seems like we end up with the same server every single time we come here. Every time we dine here, our server is extremely slow and rude. We always have to flag down a different server to bring us water, refill our water/drinks, check on our order(long after it was taken), and even check on our server. Honestly, the server would disappear. What really sucks is watching other customers get seated in a different servers area after we had already been seated, get their order taken(without attitude, and long before our server takes our order), get their food, consume it and leave around the same time we are getting our food! That is just flat-out ridiculous! I recognize another server I had seen working there many years ago, but never have the luck of being seated in his section. Unfortunately, his section is either full or something. Either way, oddly enough, he is one of the other servers who ends up refilling our water or helping when our server is not able to. The weirdest thing about our experience is that our slow and rude server credits our bill for the drinks and we notice he does it for a lot of his customers. I think he is expecting a bigger tip in return. I had told him in the past not to credit us our drinks and just provide us better service! Also, I flat out refuse to tip him more because of the credit; it still doesn’t make-up for the slow and awful service. I am surprised 59th& Lex allows him to comp everyone their drinks, for what I can only describe as a compensation for the rude service and lack of service. I am really over it and will never be returning.

This little café locates within Bloomingdale’s 2nd floor. Kind of odd, but when a girl’s tired from shopping, she definitely needs to refuel! So I came to 59th and Lex, and saw their tiger prawn mango salad and I knew I had to get it! For $ 17, it was a lot of shrimp! I was hoping to get more greens(I really like leafy stuff!) but the amount ended up being just perfect! The prawns were very large, and had a nice, fresh«crunch» to them. They didn’t taste like those slimy frozen ones(gag!), and the mangoes added a refreshing taste to the salad on this hot summer day in Los Angeles! I also enjoyed the mozzarella slices that they put into the salad… I love cheese! I wish the service could’ve been better. I waited for water for a long time, and was overall ignored for a long time until I got my food and my bread, even though I was sitting in the middle of that restaurant area. Really baffled me.

This should really be a 3 ½ stars. Most everyone enjoyed their dinners. I had a chicken salad with all kinds of berries. It was good but I had to ask for more of the rasberry dressing. The waiter was not organized as we had to ask for most items 3 times. One person ordered the shrimp with pasta and a white sauce. It was served luke warm and the shrimp were undercooked. He returned it to be heated but it still was not good. I may return but hopefully the service is better.

3.5 stars Fun alternative to the food court in the mall. Bloomies is like a second home to me, so 59th and Lex is sorta like the kitchen. It’s a great place to have a nice lunch with a girlfriend, like I did today! Eating among the clothes is always fun. I agree with the person that said it’s an older crowd there. The average age was about 67, but that’s because my friend and I brought it down. They have a pretty standard menu. Bigger selection than the café at Saks or Neimans. It’s a tad overpriced. But the service was good and the FRIES are spectacular!
