Marilyn Yeomans Photography

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Marilyn for our entire birth story. She was referred to us from a friend and I am so glad I reached out and started working with her. We are not the type of people who love being in front of the camera. Marilyn made us laugh and act like ourselves, so our photography reflects who we really are and our shots are natural and happy, not forced. She had many creative ideas as well, which helps those of us who do not go to photographers with a list of ideas of our own. On top of that, she is so committed to her clients that she comes to the hospital and then to your home. What a privilege for parents to have someone who cares enough to get those beautiful shots for those moments that you can never relive! Then, when our hospital plans changed dramatically (I needed a c-​section, my husband fainted, and our little guy ended up in the NICU), she was so incredibly patient and kind throughout the whole process. Seeing the beautiful album of our little guy’s birth story, I am so grateful we chose to work with her. We have an incredibly high quality album of his entire birth story and we will cherish it for the rest of our lives.

Marilyn Yeomans did an amazing job of taking photos that actually make me look beautiful, and proud to be expecting! We are eagerly awaiting the newest member of the family, and for some reason, decided to get photos even though I am about as photogenic as a lump of weeds. But I wanted a professional photo to remember this time, and my curves, even though I almost always hate having my photo taken. My attitude probably wasn’t helping any, but Marilyn is comforting and encouraging, and during the shoot, I almost felt like a beautiful model. It was a fun experience and we were not rushed. I would eagerly do it again in a heartbeat with Marilyn coaching me in how to make my womanly curves photograph graciously. The photos are stunning to say the least. We are thrilled! It did take a few weeks to get our proofs, but it was worth the wait. I will be calling her as soon as this little one arrives. Just in time for Christmas cards. We are so happy with our gorgeous photos which make us look beautiful, and happy with the ease in which they were taken. Go see this lady! She rocks!

Have you ever seen that episode of FRIENDS where Chandler tried to get some photos taken? Well that’s me. If you haven’t seen this episode basically what this means is that my face is completely incapable of being photographed… Once a camera points at me I feel like a deer in headlights who ate too much and can’t run away but really wants to! Marilyn took the challenge of doing portrait photos for me and all I can say is: WOW!!! The way she positioned my body and directed me was perfect! The lighting was awesome! And editing was superb! I definitely recommend her… Err especially for those of us who always look terrible for the camera, she will make you look like a god/​goddess! I’m so happy and I now have everyone asking me where the photos were done! #happycamper
