Stumbled across the town of Los Alamos when we stopped for gas on our road trip home. Very cute and we will definitely be coming back! There are several Antique stores in town but we arrived just as most of them were closing so we didn’t get a chance to go in. We pulled up to Gussied Up with less than 10 minutes to spare. They were very nice and allowed us to stay and keep looking for a few minutes after closing time. There are tons of interesting items of all styles to look at and each room is nicely displayed. They have typical antique store prices with some good deals mixed in if you spend the time to look around. I scored an awesome tan and turquoise native american rug for $ 25. I would definitely come back to this store next time I’m in town.

Damnit! I really wanted to like this place, Unilocal, but there is no rhyme, reason, purpose or point to an antique shop such as this. Just a collection of junk useful really to no one but a historian. Ahhhh… THAT’S what it is! A historian’s junkyard. I like antique shops that collect things that the AVERAGE person desires. Vintage stuff that’s hard to find, creative and artsy, rare and USEFUL! Most of the stuff here is so old, you’d be buying it just to let it sit behind a glass case and collect dust. It will end up taking up space for no reason. You can’t use most of this stuff. Sorry. Not my cup of tea.

This store is such a GEM and a MUST visit when in Los Alamos!!! My mom and I came in here to browse, and ended up leaving with our hands full! The prices are absolutely reasonable and this store is oodles of FUN! The house is beautiful and every room has a theme! The owners are sooo nice and provide excellent customer service! We loved it, and are planning on returning!

This place is a must stop if you’re antiquing in this area. It’s a quaint little shop with a friendly staff. By the way they even have a man cave!

My boyfriend and I have been searching high and low for a nice desk for him, and we found a very good looking danish piece for a really FAIR price! We weren’t sure it would fit in the car but spoke with the owner and she helped us squeeze it in the back see of the car! YAY! She was so nice(like everyone else in this town), she offered to drive it down to Long Beach the next weekend if it didn’t fit. Really kind. She had some great stuff and the place is deceptively large! I wanted to spend tons more money there!
