Quest Diagnostics

ordered lab work online. said I didn’t need an appt. I waited two hours fasting and they are people who are diabetic who are waiting just as long as I am. I don’t know why they even take appt because they don’t even take that into acct. the only front clerk can only do one thing at a time. If you have the wrong paper work or wrong insurance, your waiting over an hour to find out that you’re in the wrong place. I guess there’s demand for this kind of business. I recommend suite 202, Lab Corp. With no appt. I was in n out in less than half an hour.

worst place, never go there. quest is very backward, we signed up online had a confirmation screen but never got an email. when we went there they wouldn’t take our word for it. we waited more than an hour and a half for a simple blood test. very disorganized, unhelpful staff, bad systems, quest as an organization seems to be getting worse, very very disappointed with them, never go there

It was fairly quick and easy to go in for the lab tests, but they never sent the results to the doctor, and they never responded to multiple requests to obtain them. The telephone number does not allow you to speak with anyone and on-​line MyQuest service was useless, because it said they couldn’t verify identity, and it just circled me around. The customer service line for the MyQuest only allowed me to leave a general message. Meanwhile, we have a follow up appointment tomorrow that will probably be delayed due to Quest not releasing the lab results needed for the visit. Not happy.

I was told by my doctor’s office staff I didn’t need an appointment to come in. So I figured it was because they get to each patient in a timely matter, yay! This business is in the Los Alamitos Medical Center. The hospital is right behind it. They share the same suite with the Los Alamitos cardiovascular group. There’s construction going on (9÷23÷2014) in the parking lot on the day of my walk-​in. So I found parking across the street and walked over.
On the third floor is where you’ll find them. When you walk in, there’s two sign up sheets, the right is for the cardiovascular doctor. To the left is where you want to sign in for labs. The receptionist who was super friendly, took my insurance information and saw that my doctor had already electronically sent my work order. I was seated myself in front of the TV.
Even though the wait was just 20 minutes, not bad but what found what was really messed up and I understand not everyone there fasted the night before like I did. The food network channel was on and I was starving! That was so low and made the 20 minutes seemed liked hours! But I did change my seat, so that I was so longer facing the food network.
Oh and did I mention I hate needles? It’s not the fact that they’re taking my blood but the needle. Don’t like it at a ‘ll. I will avoid it and put it off. Well a nice fiilipina of named Wllilma, took care of me, she was the best! She was friendly, quick, and precise. I was out of there in no time!
If I had to get my blood drawn again… I’d come here!

Never have to wait long for them to see me! All the nurses and staff are real friendly! Never has had a negative experience there!

this suite spot is relatively close to me when i go to my hematologist in the los alamitos medical center plaza and given that i like to do my tests and get my results quickly, i didn’t think much of going to this location instead of going to the one off walker st. in cypress. what a mistake!
on their website, it shows all of the tests that they do. this means that they should have the means and the knowledge to be able to perform these tests and get these back to the patients, right? if they’re unable to perform these tests, why bother to put them up on the website?
the first time i went in, it was late september. i was going in specifically for a certain type of test along with my routine blood test. they drew more than a pint of blood away from me (about 13 or 14 tubes). i fully expected them to be able to give me my results in 10 days as they verbally told me the process time. when i came into my hematologist’s office two weeks later, i was told that Quest Diagnostics was able to successfully do all of the tests… except one. one, which was the most important test that i needed.

i went in again to draw yet another tube of blood away from me. i came equipped with a PRINT OUT of what the process is and verbally talked to two people there, the receptionist/​murse and the lady who drew my blood, making sure that they were doing this test. the thing that stuck out this day was that none of them had even the least remote idea about what this test was. the murse/​receptionist even told me that he had never even heard of this test before!
umm… okay.
so my third appointment in at the doctor’s and i’m told that Quest Diagnostics did the test but the result came in as «uncomfirmed». the proper thing for them to do would have been to immediately re-​test the blood that they still have, right? i would have expected this as they’re doing a MEDICAL service. they waited until my doctor’s office called them up to do a re-​test. i really need a positive/​negative answer and i’ve been waiting over a month due to their first fuck up.
the doctors in my hematologist office told me that each center of Quest Diagnostics does the actual work in their office/​lab. they don’t send out the blood to another office, they do this IN THEIR LOCATION. so …
one fuck up.

i cannot express how incredibly angry i am at them. the feelings i have toward them are of anger, frustration, and a little bit of sadness… i hope i’m not the only one that’s gotten fucked up because of them.
