Came in on a whim and we were pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious and the service was attentive. Prices seemed a little higher than I am used to for Thai but we will definitely be back.

First time eating here. My friend from swim whose parents own the restaurant. It has good Shrimp Pad Thai. The staff is very friendly and the service is great.

This was a really good lunch. The presentation was quite impressive. It was crowded but still got in and out. Everything our table ordered was excellent. I did have some really hard chunks of ginger that were in some dishes that was not edible. So that slipped them 1 star. I would return there because my client loves it and guess they’re regular… And I would enjoy it.

Delicious, health conscious, and appropriately priced! I do not mind the wait, although the plates take a bit after ordering because I know how much attention goes to the dishes from the presentation to the taste. The chef does a wonderful job keeping the sauces light and unique to every dish. The citric acids are balanced to bring out the zest of the dishes without overpowering the foundational flavors. Tonight we had the green chicken curry, tamarind chicken, lime salmon entrée, and pad thai. We also had 3 brown rice servings. The brown rice is absolutely delicious, and compliment the dishes very well! Glad to have brought my parents here. I hope to come again soon!

First walking in, the place kind of smelled like gym rags or used towel. Maybe it was an off day. But I definitely had high hopes, after looking at the high reviews on Unilocal! TIP: If you’re on a strict one-hour lunch break… unfortunately they took quite some time to get the meal out. On a weekday lunch time, it was fairly packed(which should be anticipated) and the place seemed to be understaffed(one or two waiters around and they were always busy or had their hands full). I had the lunch special — panang curry! I love a good panang curry, BUT this was only good at best. I expected a bit better, with all due respect! However, I have to admit they have a lot of options for the lunch special and if I came again I would explore other options! Price was fair for including a mini sticky rice dessert. Did the lunch special come with drink included? I believe I read somewhere it did but my waiter didn’t offer and I was content with water. No complaints but who wouldn’t like complimentary thai tea or coffee?

Tom-Yum soup is pretty darn good when you’re feeling under the weather. I read great reviews on their version so I had to check it out for myself. The hubs && I went on a lunch date, such a good pick! Their front view isn’t much, it’s located in a long plaza. But once you walk in, the decors were gorgeous and unexpected. There’s plenty of seats, booth for us please! The menu was scrapbook-like, pictures were helpful. There’s a handful of choices so we took a bit longer on deciding. I recommend picking from their Lunch Specials! Service: It was decent, not as good as the service from Thailusion. The ladies should smile :) Our food came out quick, each dish came right after the other which was perfect. Tom-Yum soup: We normally order it with shrimp but this time, we felt like just doing chicken. Not bad at all! The chicken was really juicy and tender. If I’m not mistaken, they use white meat too. The flavor is nicely balanced – sweet, sour & spicy. I really like the mushrooms too. Crispy Vegetarian Trio: This came with a Taro Nest and Crispy Organic Baby Kale. WOW. We loved everything on this plate. Highly recommended. –(4 crispy taro triangle) I’ve never seen anybody use taro aside from a drink or dessert! Kudos to the chef. It’s different, goes really well with the dips. –(4 petite veggie rolls) I like how light the eggrolls were. The filling was nicely seasoned. It was good even without the sweet chili sauce! –(4 corn fritter cups) Again, WOW! There was a picture of this on the menu and it looked really good. The taste, even way better! It is delicate. After the first bite, it basically falls apart lol. But no biggie. Idk how the chef came up with this one but he’s a genius! Chicken Panang Curry(Medium Spicy): I would’ve liked it to be more spicy. Regardless, the flavor was on point. You can really taste the coconut milk but not overwhelming. Portion was huge too. I like that the Lunch Specials come with rice, salad and dessert! All for a good price. What a great find! Delicious and healthy. Coconut Rabbit offers Gluten-Free and Vegetarian options, upon request. P. S. I wish they still had the Unilocal check-in(free Thai Lime Iced Tea).I’ll try it next time though. Yes, there’s a next time!

Came here the other night for dinner with some family. We ordered the golden corn fritter cups to share & I got the tamarind chicken with steamed rice. They were so delicious. I’ve never eaten thai food before & I loved it. I can’t believe I’ve never tried this place before. I can’t wait to go back.

Went here with coworkers awhile back and enjoyed the food and ambience. This time around I brought my wife for lunch and had one of their chicken spring rolls that is served with a lime/tamarind dipping sauce. Very fresh and light, perfect as an appetizer. I ordered my favorite Tamarind Chicken(lunch special) served with white rice, a side green salad, and tapioca sweet rice as a dessert. The chicken is lightly stir fried with lime leaves, basil, and tamarind sauce. I highly recommend it. My wife had the jungle noodles mild with chicken and that also was delicious. We went on a Thursday afternoon for lunch and it was not too busy, but if you go on a Friday or dinner, expect a wait since it’s only about 15 tables. They take reservations and that’s a plus. It’s not your traditional Thai restaurant, but it is a unique fusion of Thai and fresh fare that you’ll find pleasantly and surprisingly good. It has delicious dishes you’ll be sure to love.

I’ve been meaning to try this place for awhile, so when my girlfriend suggested it for a double date, I was down. We shared the short rib panang curry, jungle noodles with beef and the tamarind chicken. Both the curry and chicken came with sides of rice, which was perfect to share between the four of us. I think my favorite was the short rib curry, since it was different from any other thai restaurant. The meat was tender and the curry had a good flavor. We ended the meal with mango sticky rice, which was nice and sweet. There are so many good thai restaurants near me, but I’d stop by again if I’m in the area.

Stopped by for dinner on a Thursday night and it was pretty empty. The restaurant was much smaller than I thought it was going to be. For food, we ordered the beef jungle noodles, short rib panang curry and the tamarind chicken. The jungle noodles are flat stir fried noodles with a spicy kick. The short rib curry had a few chunks of tender short rib, cooked with carrots, peas and green beans. The tamarind chicken was cooked in a sweet thick tamarind sauce. I liked that the curry and the chicken came with a side of rice so we didn’t have to order extra. For dessert, we had the mangos and sticky rice. I wish they drizzled more coconut milk on the mangoes though. Overall, everything was delicious. The only downside is the price, which is considered expensive compared to other Thai restaurants.

Solid Thai in Los Alamitos. Went out on a double date and split the dishes between the four of us. We left full and satisfied. The drunken noodle was my personal fav. I really like broad noodles and this one had a kick to it which was good. The place is small and cute and the waitresses were all super nice. Check it out if you’re in the area !

Great service and even greater food!!! Once you try it. You’ll keep coming back again and again!!! This place should be award winning in my book! The presentation of plates are very well done as well as the flavor profiles!!! I’m trying to sample everything on the menu. But I get stuck on certain items cause they are sooooo good! I enjoy eating the food each and everytime I visit here. Highly highly recommended !

I haven’t been around SoCal that long to try any other Thai resto but to rate this place on its own is not that hard. Their food is quite good and their Penang curry is absolutely one of the best curries that I’ve tasted though I’ve had better Thai salads & pad Thai back in the Philippines. Still theirs did not disappoint. I wasn’t able to try their dessert but they gave us a small vday treat — a fresh strawberry on a dark chocolate ganache & it’s something that I wouldn’t really mind paying for but I’ll have to come back & try their desserts some other day. The place is a little small & it’s almost always packed but unless they have lines of people waiting, I’ll have to say that the seating is just enough. Plus the free Thai iced tea when you check in Unilocal makes the 3 minute wait easy to bear(wink!). The interior is cozy but I suggest that they try & redesign it just a little bit. Oh & don’t forget to take a picture of that coconut rabbit! I think that detail makes a really good conversation piece.

Best local Thai food I’ve had since visiting Thailand. Coconut rabbit offers the traditional Thai food but with a culinary flavor. Each dish is delicious and different then the standard Thai. Our favorite dish is the Short Rib curry. It’s a must each time. Everything else is fresh and delicious: Spring rolls, snap pea salad, tom yum soup, etc. It might be in a strip mall but the flavors are 5 star.

Craving some tasty clean eats to start my year out right. I dropped by Coconut Rabbit to try the organic thai food. I came in around 2pm and the place was empty because they were closing in 30 min. Nonetheless, I received good service with a smile. This restaurant has cutesy décor. They have air plants hanging out of glass vases, dangling across the walls and inside empty frames. The resturant has a calming, relaxing feeling. I ended up ordering the tom kha gai because it was the only dish without carbs. It’s made of coconut milk, skinless chicken slices, 2 different mushrooms and cilantro. The tom kha was excellent, even thought the soup was a bit bare. I felt like the coconut milk added a thicker texture to the thai soup and balanced out the chili and lemongrass flavors. The mushrooms were definitely the best part. I’d love to come back and try their thai organic spring rolls!

Creative Thai fusion, but I prefer traditional Thai. My friends love this place, but I feel it is overpriced and too far from freeway. Instead, I recommend Banana Bay and President Thai. :-) We ordered: * Corn fritter cups with baked Kelp * Tom Kha Goong — mild spicy sour soup with coconut milk, and we changed chicken to shrimp. * Shrimp Pad Thai * Blueberry Panna Cotta * Free Thai lime iced tea with Unilocal check-in and purchase of entrée

Service — OK Food — Good Refillable fountain drinks —(Didn’t get refills this time around) I wanted to try this place out because this place was close to my work and it high ratings and regard for the food here. The picture of the food here also very delicious. I didn’t exactly get the same experience as most because this place evened out to be an alright place despite some lost in translation in the ordering. #1. Tom Yum Soup: The waitress that took our order misunderstood what we wanted instead of this. I wanted to order Tom Yum Noodle Soup, which would be an entrée and not an appetizer soup. I was a little disheartened that she came with the regular soup and didn’t want her to return the soup because it would be a waste. Despite the incorrect order, this soup was really sour and great. This is a great start, but I wish I had noodles. #2. Tamarind Fried Chicken Wings: TOOSWEET… it was just too much to handle. I could not take this item. It was highly raved, but this time it was just too much. I felt like I had a spoonful of sugar in every bite. Not a fan. Never again. Only good thing is that it was a pretty good looking wing. #3. Roti Prata: This dipped into the curry, was just the best combo in the experience. Despite being a little bit oily, it was soft and similar to how I’ve had roti prata before. Best bread to add. #4. Short Rib Penang Curry: This is the best item. The meat was tender and I usually don’t like Thai Curry but this one was allowable. I pretty much only ate the curry with the Roti. I am going to have to be indifferent with others on this review. It was good, but I think this place is overall AOK. There aren’t a variety of options compared to other place and I wish I would have tried the Noodles that I was not given due to miscommunication from the waitress

Who knew the coconut rabbit had been hiding from me all this time?! If you haven’t been here yet… well, perhaps its a good thing because more Thai deliciousness for me. I’ll get right to it. Love all the cute terrariums set up for décor. The restaurant is pretty small and my group was lucky to get there early because it definitely filled up quick on Sunday afternoon. Service was great. Food: //Coconut Rabbit Dumpling(5 total)\\ — This dish is so cute, almost too good to eat… almost! Loved the flavor in the meat paired with the cucumber. Sad I only got one tho :( //Salmon Larb Spring Rolls\\ — Light and refreshing. The sauce was a nice touch for this one. //Sugar Snappea Salad\\ — This was my favorite! A simple dish but the flavors made me and all my friends go, «ooo!» From taste-guessing, the dressing was made from fish sauce, a little peanut butter and a dash of basil. Slurping the dressing at the end happened. //Short Rib Panang Curry\\ — Meat was cooked to perfection. Soft moist short ribs all up in your mouth! You can have this with rice or roti. The roti was a bit too crispy for me. //Tamarind Chicken\\ — This dish was a little too sweet for me. but if you like sweet dishes you might take a liking. I’ll be back for you Coconut Rabbit! :)

I can’t be the only one who thought that at Coconut Rabbit, they’d serve rabbit, right? Weird name for a restaurant. Anyways, I was introduced to Coconut Rabbit a few months ago, and have not gone to any other Thai place since! Coconut Rabbit by far takes the medal in best Thai food in Orange County. Coconut Rabbit Dumplings — Delicious appetizer! I really enjoyed the fresh basil and cucumber addition to the dumplings. It shows that the chef was extra thoughtful in creating the perfect bite. Meat, something flavorful, something fresh. YUM Shortrib Panang — Mister always tries panang curry at every Thai place we go to. Coconut Rabbit makes an AMAZING panang curry with very soft delicious short rib pieces. The spice to peanut sauce ratio is simply perfect. The dish leaves me always wanting more curry and more meat once we’ve finished the order. It’s THAT good. Should you leave the meat out of your helping, rice and the panang itself is a masterpiece in itself. Pad Thai — What’s a Thai restaurant without pad thai? The pad thai here is made with smaller rice noodles, but they were boarder line glass noodle status. I loved this texture. The dish is kept simple and comes with either chicken, pork, or shrimp. I personally always get shrimp and it never fails to satisfy. Pad See-Ew(Drunken noodles) — Delicious flat noodles that’s slightly sweet and spicy. Get with beef! I will hopefully be committed to Coconut Rabbit for many many years. It’s yummy, reasonably priced, and has decent service.
