The Thai Place is a LONG time favorite of mine from the late 80’s. Simple and serene, fresh and tasty dishes. This is where I learned I love Thai Curry(my current favorite is their Fish Curry). Their Pad Kee Mao is my long-time fav. They’re friendly and polite! I think their prices are very reasonable.

Found this place via Unilocal one day for lunch. I was super surprised that they were completely empty and I almost turned around to leave. The restaurant was modern looking, bright and super clean. The staff were really friendly and nice. We ordered: Pad See Ew, Fried Rice, and Yellow Curry. Everything, and I mean everything was REALLY tasty and good. Honestly some of the best Thai food that I’ve tasted. I would definitely come back if I’m ever in the area!

The food is delicious. I just ordered takeout and the woman working tonight was so incredibly nice and wonderful. I’ll come back because of her.

Finally stopped in and tried it after all these years. Ordered the Gaeng Ped(red curry) with chicken, some of the best I’ve ever tried. We ordered sweet mangoes and sticky rice for dessert, let’s just say I needed a hug at that point. I will definitely be back.

This place is delicious! Friendly staff and great food. Some of the dishes are on the smaller side in regards to portion, but I’ll take quality over quantity any day. No disappointments when ordering food here.

For me it’s all about the service! The owner and her daughter were both rude. I thought that was just the way they were but then other customers walked in and they were nice to them. The daughter rushed me in my order still no smile. I had to ask for the hot sauce twice. Rushed out the bill with my meal. The owner rushed to see if I had paid for my food while I was still eating. I ended up leaving all my food still paid for the meal but I will NEVER eat at this place again!!! Plus the rice seemed to be old. I think I did good by not eating the food.

I order take out often from this place. The service is always excellent. The food is a little pricey for the portions, but I just tell myself at least it prevents me from overeating. There are 4 Thai restaurants in this area and this one is our favorite because it’s not as oily, greasy, or salty as the others. Will definitely keep coming here.

Delicious food and great service! My four year old and husband loved the garlic shrimp and my two year old loved the pork Thai rice. I loved the chicken thai noodles. We took our leftovers home and my four year old asked if she can have it for lunch the next day. The restaurant was clean and had a nice ambiance. The restrooms were also clean. We will definitely come back!

Finally tried this place. I’ve called a couple times previously and nobody answered. It’s a small little Thai restaurant. We got there before the rush. We ordered: Pra-Ra-Rong-Song — peanut sauce with chicken. This was really good and lots of flavor. The peanut sauce was thick and mixed with chicken and spinach. Pad see ew — this was also good. Tastes similar to other ones I’ve had before, but I liked it. I would come back since it’s close and the food was good with reasonable prices.

I have seen this place for years and always think«ooo let’s try this place next time we don’t know where to eat» and always forget about it. But, we finally remembered and we are so glad we did! The service was great, I think it was the owner that sat us and she was so sweet! The food was delicious(we had yellow curry and pad thai), and the price was very reasonable(it was the lunch special an entrée, drink, and soup). We we definitely return :)

The food is really good compared to other Thai restaurants I’ve been to. However, the portions are way too small for their price. I ordered the pad thai and the cashew chicken; the cashew chicken portions were ridiculously small, and the pad thai was cleared very quickly. I might come by one more time, but this restaurant is a no from me.

I’ve been disappointed with many of the Thai food options in the area, so I am glad I’ve found Thai Place. The food was delicious. I ordered a matsamun curry(some spell it massamun), which is a delicious, peanut-y curry with potatoes, coconut milk, and of course, peanuts. I don’t usually see this dish at Thai restaurants in So. Cal, so I was excited when I saw it here as it is my favorite Thai dish. I ordered it with beef($ 1 extra) — the beef was flavorful and tender; not overcooked. I would highly recommend this dish unless you’re allergic to peanuts. I also got to try the pad see ew with tofu, which was also really good, but I preferred the curry. I didn’t like that they put the whole egg on top of the dish, rather than cut it up and evenly distribute it throughout. Not a big deal, though. It was also a little on the sweeter side, but if you get it a little spicy, you’re golden. Speaking of spicy — the food is not unless you specifically ask. The menu said that my curry would be spicy but they were going to prepare it non-spicy until I asked how spicy it would be. Then I said I wanted it «medium spicy,» but it came mild(for my taste). Next time, I will ask for«pretty spicy» and see what happens. I didn’t try their Thai tea because they don’t serve it hot; only iced. That probably means they don’t brew their own tea. The service was great and attentive. The décor is inviting, and the ambiance is ideal for a date or a quiet conversation.

Thai place honestly exceeded my expectations. I have tried really bomb thai places in the past so I don’t usually walk into random thai restaurants, but I was really craving it that day for some reason so I went ahead and Unilocaled, and ended up here. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao, Pad See Ew, and yellow curry(ga naeng curry?) and all three were bomb. Pad see ew in my opinion is a little too sweet, but still really tasty regardless. I would recommend on getting it spicy. Pad Kee Mao was equally tasty as well as the yellow curry. The downsides are that the female server isn’t s friendly and that the portions are pretty small for the price(compared to other thai restaurants). However, I would still come back here for thai food when in the area.

This review is for the one hour and 20 minutes I waited for an order that was supposed to take half an hour. No apologies, no remorse, nothing. How can you run a business this way. Never coming here again, businesses need to honor customer service and respect time.

Absolutely love this place. It is a local family run authentic Thai restaurant with great food and even better service. My favorite is the combination fried rice and red chicken curry. They have been there for years and I hope they never go anywhere else. Absolutely one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. I highly recommend it!

Love this place! And the owner is so darn sweet to us everything we come in! Which is quite often because my coworkers and I really enjoy the food here. There is a great selection of lunch specials, which comes with soup, rice, and your choice of thai tea or thai coffee. Some of my coworkers basically get the same thing every time and she never fails to remember. She always brings me hot chili too because she knows I like things spicy. Great customer service! I love the green curry here, the pad kee mao, and the glass noodles. Been happy with everything I’ve ordered here. Note that they are closed on Mondays though. We didn’t figure it out until we were already at the door and trying to get in.

Love LOVELOVE this place!!! Did I mention that I love this place!!! Anyhow I have been going here for over 12 years and I don’t know why this is my first check in here? Hmmmm. Anyhow it’s not that it’s not important enough because again I LOVE this place. Okay enough with that… My favorite dishes are the beef paht kee mao and the pineapple fried rice. Can’t seem to get the pineapple fried rice this way anywhere else… most places put curry in their pineapple fried rice for some odd reason which has me scratching my head. Personally I don’t think curry should be a recipe in this dish. If you arrive during lunch time this place can get pretty packed but they have lunch specials! With your lunch entrée you get a drink and a somewhat egg drop soup but not a true egg drop soup. If you get here before 11:30 or after 1:00 then you should be fine. Bön Appetit!
