Had a horrible skin rash, made an appointment in the morning. They called back and rescheduled the meeting. Got there, and it took 2 hours for them to call my name, finally got into the room. The Doctor didn’t know what was wrong, told me it was scabies but didn’t know what it was. Took a pretty big chuck out of my side for a biopsy and got a steroid shot and anti viral (which did not work). Nurse told me the doctor would follow up on Monday, went in on a Thursday. Monday came around, and the rash got significantly worse. I called down to the office worried about my health, no call back till two days later. I asked when she called back to get a rush on the biopsy and she said it would take 1 – 2 weeks, which was different than the 5 day timeframe given while I was at the office. I was forced to see another doctor who was able to diagnose within one second, and prescribed the correct medicine and treatment.
Four weeks later got a call from a nurse checking in on me. I told her that I am fine now because of another doctor, and I never got a call for my biopsy. She rushed me off the phone with a bunch of «okays». Finally got a call back the next day from the doctor with the biopsy results and wanting to make sure I was ok. About 4 weeks too late.
Now I get at $ 300 bill in the mail for a doctors visit that didn’t even help, and that includes my insurance paying a portion. The other doctor charged me the $ 35 co pay, and that was it. Seems like they are too busy for all of their clients, and wouldn’t trust the doctors to take care, especially when it’s urgent.
