Third stop in the wine tour. It was pretty good, second to wise in Lincoln. Very friendly service and the wines were pretty good. They also had cool decorations up for the valentines weekend.

Located in Loomis. Follow the non distinct signs or just map to find it. Almost missed the winery with the s signs. Tasting room is located at the location for some of it’s grapes. Wine are sourced and produced locally. Like some of it’s vine are right on site. Tasting room is quaint but plenty of room for seating. We are greeted promptly and helped by John to the tasting of several wet wines. More than five to try. The staff was knowledgable about the family business. He was able to explain which vineyard to which the grapes came from and their wine offerings and could field questions asked. All the wines were reasonably priced. We picked up two bottles as there was plenty we enjoyed Good: wine, beautiful grounds, service, local source. Bad: hard to read signs but worth the visit. I’ll be back soon.

This is one of my favorite wineries to visit. The owners make you feel like one of the family. Chris the wine maker is knowledgeable and makes great wine. My favorite is the Syrah. Looking forward to my next visit.

We had great customer service while we were here, I’m surprised to see the negative reviews actually, so maybe they just came on a bad day? We came as part of the Grape Days of Summer event, we met the Owners and their Grandson who is one of the wine makers, he hung out with us for a while and told us about their wines and how the winery was started. We liked the Miners Red(blend) and Montepulciano. I thought their prices were average for a «boutique» winery, around $ 20. Some of the other wineries we visited on the same day were selling for around $ 30 which we thought was too much. They’ve got a nice long bar and a small seating area inside. Great place to visit on a hot day(which it was when we came).

Not recommended. Apparently — they don’t like people very much. This is the first winery I’ve ever visited that I did NOT feel welcome. Their customer service person was very short with us. How can you be grumpy when you work at a winery? It was as if they didn’t want to serve us at all! It was sad — as I really wanted to like this winery. We’ve had really good experiences at other local wineries — but I will NEVER return to Secret Ravine — and will discourage any of my friends from wasting their time or money here.

Great winery to try if you are in the auburn foothills area. Some great wines to choose from and the owner is super nice. We even were allowed to walk through one of there vineyards which was a first for me. I absolutely love this area and will be back!
