picked up lunch plate special I’d the day of chicken and dumplings. Got home and then found they had been made with canned cubed chicken. I was shocked. A Mcdonald’s hamburger would have been 10 times better. I will never go back. Longview has too many good places to eat rather than waste your money here!

The food was ok, standard quality. Portion size was on the small end, not enough to take any home but there was enough to get full on. I ordered the hobo scramble and my wife ordered the eggs and biscuits. Her eggs were a little undercooked. The service was lacking a little.

The employees were VERY nice and attentive. Food was amazing. I got the breakfast plate and I just say the pancakes were to DIE for!

Don’t give up on this place. I really want to give this place 4 stars, but I have to be real. I had the breakfast special: eggs, pancakes, choice of grits or hash browns, and choice of meat. I also ordered toast for my eggs. I read a previous review about eggs over medium, so I ordered my eggs over easy. They came out perfect… over medium, which is exactly what I wanted. The grits were a bit watery and the bacon was crisp(which I like-I’m not a fan of limp bacon) however, it was a bit greasy, so I dabbed it with my napkin. THEPANCAKESWERETODIEFOR. They use good syrup. The toast had white stuff around the edges. It could have been flower, but it was a turn off. The inside of the place looked like it was recently given a makeover. Nice green cushions work faux marble tables with wood edging. I will try to make it back too do a follow up.

Great service and delicious food! I thought they were going to have to wheel me out of there after how much I ate! It was fabulous!

My new favorite place for pancakes. I haven’t tried much else on their menus. But the pancakes will keep me coming back :)

This place has the BEST pancakes. Big, super fluffy and tasty. Not rubbery or thin. Breakfast was pretty good for a good price. We also had some onion rings that were also great. Nice and hot, crispy and fresh. Very friendly staff. Nice alternative to the typical over crowded over priced breakfast places.

Eggs were done exactly as I like them. Hash browns and sausage were great and the biscuit was too. Friendly staff and folks inside. Place is clean. Like it.

Good, clean breakfast/lunch place. My food was good & well-prepared & the biscuit was well-done-not over-cooked or dry. Much better than the chain places or fast food. For whatever reason this place only had a few customers. Maybe previous iterations at this location ran people off? I had a really good experience.

Went here one Morning because all other breakfast places were packed. I was pleasantly surprised. Prices a little higher than Waffle House. Be sure to ask for your hash browns well-done if you don’t like soggy. They didn’t refill our coffee either, not sure if that’s standard there or our server was just«busy»

I like this cozy place. We have only been there for breakfast but the service is good, the food is good and the atmosphere is good. And the coffee is always flowing! What else do you need. :)

I’ve been here several times but the last couple of visits the quality has improved. Our order was exactly the way we asked for it. Eggs medium, bacon crisp. Our drinks were filled regularly. Staff is friendly but a little stretched. I’ll be back.

People, if ya’ll have never eaten at Lizzie’s Diner in Longview you are missing out. This BLT and onion rings are so good and I had a piece of the hands down most perfect Coconut Pie I have ever eaten.

This used to be a good place to eat. The last time that I was there it wasn’t very good, the eggs were overdone, toast was not crisp and the bacon was burnt, but we decided to give it one more try for lunch today. There was one waitress for the whole dining room. We chose our booth based on the least amount of tears in the seats and ragged duct tape. The Rueben sandwich meat was dry and overdone and the bread was soggy. The burger was so overdone, you could barely chew it. My son wanted mayo on the burger and we knew that the waitress would not make it back to our table so he took it to the counter to ask for mayo. The waitress informed him that he did not ask for mayo and the best they could do was to put some on the bun. Her conversation was agrumentative and the whole dining room could hear. We waited a long time for drink refills. No one asked how our food was and we finally had to go to the counter and ask for our check. We will not be back.

Well … Clean and the staff is nice. We had breakfast and well, nothing really special. I asked for my eggs medium and got fried hard. I’m not yoking, they were hard! Hashbrowns were ok. The sausage had no seasoning — add Tobasco. The one real good plus was the coffee. It was better than IHop. The atmosphere is nice and the owners try hard.

I stayed next door at the Candlewood suites on Labor Day weekend. The hotel clerk recommended it as a really good mom and pop diner. He was right. I had the Hobo Scramble but asked that they substitute the eggs for egg whites and the sausage for ham. No problem. My breakfast was delish. My wife has the breakfast special. It came with 2 pancakes, meat, and hash browns. Also, delish. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The service was great. The food was great. The décor was a little cliché(route 66 stuff and 1950’s diner stuff) but kinda divey. Next time I am in Longview, I will make sure to patronize this place instead of a national chain. They are only open for breakfast and lunch.

Friendly service and a great lunch special. I got two pork chops, mashed potatoes, green beans, fresh roll, iced tea, and pineapple upside down cake for under $ 10. Everything tasted great, I cleaned my plate with the roll at the end of the meal. The menu looked like it had a good selection and I will definitely be back.
