Always enjoy going to Chili’s. Service is good and the food is good too. It’s a lot better now than it was a few years ago. Better menu with more selections. Ask for John(with a pony tail). He does an excellent job.

We dined in around 12ish, I want to say, on Saturday. We try to do open bar so we can seat ourselves. We weren’t waiting long before our server came over to assist. We ordered a half size of Texas Cheese Fries and a Prime Rib Burrito with rice(no beans). Our waitress was attentive and nice– she suggested I try the burrito because it was her favorite. She has good rapport with her manager, and that’s good. How workers treat each other shows a lot. The jalapenos on the fries were tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooouchoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooitburns!oooooooooooooooooooo hot. I like hot things, but it seems like they took each jalepeno, drug it through hell, poured gasoline on it, and set it on fire before they placed it on top of those fries. My water made it worse– and I will never order jalepenos on top of fries again. ANDWEALWAYSGETTHOSEFRIES as an appetizer. I knew everything was bigger in Texas, but I didn’t think it’d be hotter too. My burrito came out, and I ate it all– but I wasn’t as fond of it as I thought I would be. The aioli sauce is what made it good, so if you must order, get a side of that so you can dip the burrito in it. Yummmy… garlic. My cousin tried some of it. She said it was okay. We left there… sadly, my cousin got sick and threw up continuously on the way back. She also had diarrhea. I don’t see how fries did that??? Bacon, cheese, potatoes, and(one jalapeño). She did have some of my burrito, but I ate the whole thing and didn’t get sick at all. So if it wasn’t the fries that made her sick, she got the 24 hour bug. She says she’s feeling better now, so it might not have been the food. Our waitress suggested that I try the Flat Bread Chicken Pizza next time– and that– I will!!! I’ll be back– but not for jalapenos!!!

Excellent food. Great service. We came at lunch and enjoyed the loaded baked potato soup, ½ turkey club sandwich, guacamole burger and bacon burger –all with fries. Everything was great and Ashley was a great, attentive server.

The only reason for the one star is because the waitress was awesome and cared. We waited for 1 hour and 5 minutes for my wife’s salad and me tacos. It wasn’t even busy. The manager hasn’t even come out. Then to top this off my wife’s salad has the wrong dressing on it and my tacos are cold… Running the kitchen and knowing when this many tables are getting upset over waiting is the managers job to get on the floor and respond. It will be a long time before I give this place another try.

Our family has been eating at Chili’s for 30+ years all over the state. We have never had a bad experience at any of them. The service and food are always exceptional and the prices are fair for what you get. We often have food left over to take home. One our favorite places to eat out knowing we are safe.

The chicken wings were not very good small and almost no meat on the bone. Southwest chicken soup was okay tasted more like a bowl of chicken chilli than a southwest chicken soup. Overall ehhhh

My friend and I walked in, just the two of us. Waited for somebody to greet us, some servers saw us and completely ignored us after we waited about 10 minutes then decided to go to apple bees instead.

We showed up with 9 people. We patiently waited for quite a while — no biggies a larger group — we got seated and then? Drink order taken. Almost 15 minutes later, drink order brought. Order taken from all of us — sorry there were 10 of us forgot about one of the kid’s girlfriends — it was quite a while before we saw anyone again. Drinks emptied, no appetizers, sitting there wondering what? I’ll tell you what I’ve done in the past with such shi*** service, get up and go get my own drinks for everyone. I’ve met quite a lot of resistance from management on such moves in the past until they understand what’s actually happening. But I refrained. This went on for a while and i started stating our needs in emphatic tones — not crass but not necessarily … um… well I dunno. Just this is what we need and we need it now, thanks. I had ordered a cup of coffee and they didn’t get it to me until 20MINUTES after I had asked for it. «We are brewing a fresh pot for you». Great! But the time taken for it! I ordered that cup of coffee at the beginning and it was LONG after everyone had received their drinks that I actually received it! Trust me, it does NOT take that long to brew a fresh pot of coffee on one of those machines, I know from AMPLE experience! it got a little better about 2/3rd’s of the way through our visit. Too late, sorry, GONG!(gong show, mid 70’s to early 80’s). That means yeah, you stink, see ya later. I’m just not going to waste my time on a long review of this place, steer clear if you want timely service, that’s the end of this story.

Business Lunch– One of the guys in our group is a Rock Star here. We had the best service Chili’s provides. The food was good and our glasses were never empty. For a chain place, this is one of the betta!!!

Have been here only a few times and I WILLNOT be returning! My most recent visit was last month for my niece’s birthday and once again the service sucked! It took forever just to get my appetizer. Needless to say after almost an hour of waiting for that anything else I had in mind to order went out the window. Our server was not attentive which resulted in her not getting a tip. This place could really use a new set of employees.

Standard national chain. It’s comfort food. Reliable and decent. The bar area is rather small, and they have several TV’s for viewing sports. Longview is rather short on eating choices.

Chili’s gives me the willies. The servers are all Billys and Jillys and maybe that’s their achilles. I’d rather sit through boring movie Trilogies. I hope they don’t open any chains in the Dutch Antilles. I was dragged here in 2011 while I was on tour. Bottomless tortilla chips. Do me a favour. I love Longview but I can’t stand Chili’s Chilli’s needs to just stop. Seriously. It’s not Mexican. It’s not Southwestern. It’s not Tex-Mex. It’s just bad, overpriced, TGIF/Applebees crap, it’s the same as all the others and I’m tired of hearing how wonderful eateries like this are. This is the diner equivalent of eating at McDonalds. Give it up. My former best friend thought Chili’s was the bomb and used to bring me here all the time. I liked their Monterey Chicken(pre-portioned, pre-packaged, frozen, crap), and their Molten Lava Chocolate Cake dessert(overpriced but good). So for that reason only, this place is a 2, not a 1. I should mention, I only rate national and global chains on a scale of 1 – 2. I rate family businesses on a scale of 3 – 5. Here is why: Would you rather support the local family, or the multi national corporations and the rich men on yachts in the Carribbean? Why are the parking lots of the awesome local places usually half empty(or completely empty)? Why are the chains always so busy? Why can they afford to open so late and get all the TV advertising and all the prime intersection locations? Why are they always in shopping malls? Why go and support Denny’s, Chilli’s, TGIF, Olive Garden, or the horrendous Applebees? These places have systematically and coldly taken over the national food scene by using the cheapest ingredients, pre-packaged frozen systematic meals that are identical across the nation, overly high prices, rude underpaid servers on way less than minimum wage, and a ridiculously expensive mass brand advertising campaign that gets inside the heads of all the kids and the 20somethings and keeps them under the illusion that if it’s not a brand name, it’s not worth visiting. They spend all the money they should be investing in food and service, in advertising and cornering the market — the local places can’t compete — and someday all we will be left with is the same chains serving the same food all over the world. That is our future. It’s the way we’re heading and you know it. Every time you eat at a bland national chain, you buy into that, you support that. Boycott chains. Support your local eateries. It’s an embarrassment that generic brand national chains are even listed on a proper foodie website like Unilocal, let alone getting 4 and 5 stars from so called foodies. Wake up, America, before we’re all just batteries in the matrix.

Before I get into it let me just say I like Chili’s food. This review is about the management at the Chili’s in Longview, Texas. I’m not going to say that all of the managers are unprofessional, but I will say that one needs to get her act together. On Thursday night my girlfriend, her daughter and I went to Chili’s to eat dinner. It was to be a good night since her daughter had just received her first six weeks report card and had all A’s. She chose the restaurant and we went. When we got there there were no hosts to great us. There was a young Caucasian couple waiting, a young black man, and an older Caucasian couple that came in behind us. As the host approached to seat the young couple they made it their business to let the host know that the young man was next to be helped. In my opinion that was nice of them. That kept the order of service accurate. The host sat the couple and came back to assist the young man with his inquiry. While this is happening the manager on duty came to assist us. She advised the older couple to be patient and they would be seated to left of the restaurant by the host. She turned to us and said«please follow me… i’m going to seat you all over here.» She led us to the right and back into a corner. The corner had four tables and very dim light. This was not a problem since I like privacy. Shortly after our waiter approached and began the order taking. He was a young Caucasian male. If I had to guess I would say he was very eclectic and well rounded. He didn’t appear to be a bad person. About 10 minutes later an older black man and two young girls, which looked like his daughters, were seated at the table behind us. About 5 minutes later their waiter came to get their order. He was a young black man who was normally our waiter when we visited. He spoke and we exchanged a few words. It’s nice to have a good rapport with the people who handle your food! After about another ten minutes there was a young black couple that was seated at a table diagonal from us. This leaves one empty table in the four table corner. As they were being seated I noticed that the manager that sat us here was the same person directing the young couple to their table. This scene began to bug me a bit. I got up from our table and told my girlfriend I would be right back. I walked through the restaurant and noticed that the other right side of the place was packed with people and well lit. I also noticed that there were no minorities seated to right of the restaurant. There weren’t even minorities seated at the bar. All people of color were seated in this one corner of the restaurant. I went back to the table and expressed my displeasure with what I had seen. My girlfriend took her daughter to the restroom which was on the right side of the establishment. When she returned she stated that she noticed the same. When our waiter returned I told him to brace himself because i had a very serious question to ask him. I politely asked him if we were seated in the black only section. He immediately responded with«i noticed that too.» He then stated«She does this all the time.» «If you want I can go get you the number to our corporate office.» I told him that i appreciated the offer and would like to speak to the manager. He returned with both the manager and a small piece of paper with an 800 number on it. I asked the manager to have a seat and proceeded to ask her the same question…“are we seated in the black only section?” She immediately responded with«NO!» I layed out the scene for her and asked why there were only black people seated in this one corner and not throughout the restaurant. I also asked why she made it her business to seat us all in the same corner. She did not have a good response. She just said«that’s just how it happened.» I asked for her bosses number and their bosses number. She returned with her business card and on the back was a list of names and numbers. I proceeded to call all of the numbers on the card to validate. After she walked away the black waiter came over and thanked me for caller her out on the seating issue. He stated that she always sat all minorities in one section and told him to wait those tables. He said«thank you for doing that.» «She does this to me every night.» We finished our meal got some to go containers and bid our waiters goodnight. The food was great and the wait staff was awesome. Just wish the manager lived in 2010.

Ah Chili’s… I’ll just review this to be the first and because I’m in the area. Chili’s has always been one that I can expect pretty much the same thing at any other Chili’s. From my experience it’s been even more consistent than fast food restaurants that are usually a last choice on my list but still a step above a lot of others. They do have Blue Moon beer and serve it with a orange wedge. An extra star in my book.
