I came in looking for a ribeye or ny steak sandwich but that’s not their thing. I love burgers with eggs so I get the godfather but with American cheese not cheddar and I swapped the onions for the whiskey caramelised onions and a side of the great grand poppies BBQ sauce. It was cooked just right. They only have coke or Dr pepper no Pepsi bit weird but OK. I get a stout instead. What a treat. I really recommend trying it at least once. Great Prohibition art and décor. Nice moonshine and beer choices. Next time I’m coming back for the shrimp poboy. Staff are really friendly and the owner operator mingles and helps out when needed. Nice gem in longview. In Arnold’s words I’ll be back. They need a NY strip sandwich on Texas toast though.

Stopped in here the other night by chance while delivering in the area Our server Jared was awesome Very helpful with explaining the different menu items We decided on the BBQ ribs(when in Texas get the ribs lol) They were amazing. They smoke them outback for hours over night. Yummy !! The southern Coke slaw is out of this world but be warned it is spicy !! We loved it !! Ice cold beer ! And the desserts were great as well I cute place with neat décor… If in the area again we would forsure stop in again If you live in the area and you haven’t checked this place out. Your missing out big time !! I true hidden gem !!

Half restaurant, and half bar. Fairly nice place, with a side room that has a very nice coin operated pool table — nicer than usual. They do karaōke in this room in the evening.

Good bar. Not bad food. No smoking is great! Family friendly. Doesn’t water down their drinks! :)

Bootleggers feels like a well-run sports bar, but the burgers were a big disappointment. Our cheeseburgers had zero flavor, even though they were supposedly char-grilled. The beef had a strange look with what appeared to be finely-textured ground beef. The french fries came from a bag, but the bottle of habanero ketchup on the table saved them. Chips were good, but the salsa lacked jalapeños and was overpowered by cilantro. The grilled chicken salad was the best meal on the table; it was full of flavor. We will probably try it again, but the first visit left us wondering what other Unilocalers see in the food here.

We’ve only eaten here once — for now — but we’re definitely coming back. The food was amazing. The burgers tasted fresh, hot, and juicy, definitely the best I’ve had in east Texas; veggies on top were fresh as well. The fries were delicious. The salsa was a bit spicy, and the queso was a bit sweet, but it actually balanced out really well when eating both. I enjoyed the tortilla chips. Service was great. I had to send my burger(Godfather) back because the egg was over easy, and I needed it more well-done since I’m pregnant, and the guy just said, «No problem» and got it done. No fuss. I love that. Drinks were filled at good intervals, no hovering or disappearing act from the waiter. Both Fiancé and I enjoyed the many TVs on the walls. It was nice having a bunch of different games on instead of just whatever is local. Can’t wait to go back.

Although I’ve been here a few times, I haven’t eaten a full meal until last night. Not sure what I was waiting for? In the battle for sports bar supremacy, I hereby declare Bootleggers the winner. Absent a few Lazy Boys, they pretty much have everything you’re looking for in a sports bar — lots of TV’s, free flowing booze and pretty dad gum good food. As for the food, I had a great fried chicken sandwich. I got it on the recommendation of a friend and he didn’t steer me wrong. The chips, queso and salsa were good individually. Chips great but didn’t really go with the salsa. My daughter got a Cobb salad and wife got a Reuben. Neither raved about them but a Cobb Salad is on the menu in a sports bar because you have to have something for chicks and I think Reuben sandwiches should be banished from the planet. So there. French fries really good. Service was just fine. Looked like there was one guy hustling his tail off. If I need a sports bar, this place will do just fine but if a need a fried chicken sandwich, I have to have this place like a duck needs water. Smiley face!

Great food, good atmosphere, friendly staff. It is a bar but still very family friendly. My aunt and uncle are in their 60s, non drinkers, and this is one of their favorite places to go.

I had the godfather burger it was really good! The egg on it was perfect. The fries weren’t my favorite but they weren’t bad. I thought they served steak which is why we went there but I guess steak is only on select days.

I love this place. The waitstaff has always been extremely sweet and attentive, the food and drinks are delicious, the atmosphere is wonderful, and it’s such a breath of fresh air from all the major chain restaurants around. Definitely my favorite spot since moving to Longview in August. I even come here alone because I crave it and don’t feel like waiting for my husband to get home.

Always like to try new places. Buddy and I came to Bootlegger Grill due to the reviews on Unilocal. The atmosphere was fantastic. Tons of TVs to watch any sport on. Tons of college football on today. Ordered the pub chips and queso to start with. Chips came out hot and fresh. Queso had a good taste and wasn’t too spicy. I had the Godfather Burger and a side salad. The salad was the perfect size. The burger however was barely mediocre. The chipotle mayo was just dropped on the top bun in the middle so you only got in on a few bites. The meat was way over cooked. Not sure what spices were used on it but it had a funny taste. Buddy had the pulled pork sandwich. It was pretty decent but a little dry. Staff was extremely friendly. Our waitress was great. Might return to give it another shot.

A few minutes off the beaten path(took us about 15 minutes from I-20) but great service, great atmosphere and the food is even better. Nice price point too. The pub chips and salsa were a great starter, actually when our food came we didn’t stop the appetizer to eat it initially haha. Great job, we’ll be back.

The chicken sandwich has a nice flavor to it. You better bring your appetite cause it’s a hefty portion of a sandwich. The only problems I had was that I wished that it was put together a little bit better. All the toppings began to fall off of it as I ate it, and the chicken breast inconveniently slipped out of the bun & out of its own crust undressing itself on my plate. The service could’ve been better also, but it was very busy when I went so I give the waitress a pass. All in all it’s a nice taste, they just need to work on presentation of their dishes.

Liked the environment here, nice place to come in for lunch or grab a drink and an appetizer after work. Service was good even though they were short handed. Tasted my hubby’s bbq burger and not a huge fan of the sauce but everything else I had was really good. I would recommend the grilled chicken sandwich with house salad and the homemade chips and queso really made my lunch, you defiantly should give that a try! We will be coming back soon and would take friends here to hangout for dinner.

Retuned to Bootlegger’s recently & we were not disappointed. Tried another burger — can’t recall the name of it, but it was very good. The star today was the BBQ ribs though. They were so tender that they were falling off the bone & they were glazed with a spicy homemade BBQ sauce. I would hate to be forced to choose between these or Country Tavern… *I believe the ribs are only served Friday/Saturday.

Longview’s best everything. Waitstaff, ice cold beer, ambiance, and food. Holy hell; this is the best burger I’ve had in months. Just the right amount of seasoning and excellent meat. I’m an admitted«spice wimp» and the pepper in the burger seasoning was freaking perfect. Ditto the fries. Additionally; the meat was just damned-near gristle free. This is a level of burger rarely, if ever found. The super fresh unique toasted and buttery bun, along with the slab of cheese, sealed the deal. Ice cold St. Arnold’s Santo on tap. A kick ass barkeep. Super friendly staff. If you’re not happy here you’re just stupid.

Best burger in town. The Al Capone is my favorite so far. Oh and try the homemade potato chips.
