Zach’s Transmission & 4x4

Absolutely the worst service ever! Brought my car in for work estimated to be 1100 – 1200. Left it with them for 2 weeks while I was away on business. They didnt even work on it during that time (even though it was scheduled) and never called to let me know. Then took another week to finish, blaming me for bringing them «my» problem. Finally got it back and they tried to charge me $ 1000 more! But had never called me to tell me they were going over, never called to tell me they needed to spend extra money. So when I tried to ask the owner to work with me he flew into a rage, started swearing at me, ripped my bill in half, threw it across the room and told me to get off the premises. I wrote them a check for the original estimated amount plus $ 100 and headed out to get my car. At that point I said «if this is the way you treat your customers you have a problem here» at which point a woman in the office started calling me a foul names and yelling at me to get off their «f-​ing» property. At that point I called 911 as I was alone there and worried for my well being. As I was driving away the police arrived, at which point both the owner and the woman began yelling at me again. Dont know what they said cuz i was driving away. NOT only irrational but in the end, they didnt even fix my problem, car is still leaking transmission fluid. WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND WOULD WARN ALL POTENTIAL CLIENTS OF ANGER ISSUES OF OWNER AND EMPLOYEES!!! FELT ENDANGERED AND THREATENED. !!! Shouldn’t even give them one star.

Not really a true review of Zach’s since I wasn’t able to book an appointment. Wanted a used car inspection. Zach was booked that day and referred me to another mechanic who I was very happy with. Taking the time to make a referral instead of an easy «I don’t know» says something about Zach.

I’d give them 6 stars if I could. If your reading this review, I will tell you to go by and look at the place. I’ve never seen a shop like this. It’s cleaner than my house. They stayed late the day before thanksgiving because I needed my 4rummer looked at. They didn’t give me any attitude, they just said to bring it on in. You can tell when you walk in that this place is a legitimate shop

Firestone store recommended Zach’s for diagnosis because the van had a confusing rattle that had 5 different guesses for a cause with estimates of repair exceeding $ 000s. Zach recommended an engine tuneup and transmission fluid change. Half a day and a few hundred dollars later, the car was cured.
Not a penny went to Zach, but he has earned trust and credibility, which have no price tags.

You know when a business is good or not by how they address problems. We had our 2001 Honda Odyssey transmission rebuilt by Zach’s. A few weeks after the rebuild — about 1000 miles — the transmission overheated, boiled over and lost all it’s fluid. They backed up their work completely, installed a completely new unit, and even covered the costs that we incurred because of the breakdown.
Zach is a meticulous mechanic, and runs an excellent operation. He stands behind his work 100%. We’ll definitely go there again.
