Wahoo’s Fish Tacos

I stopped in here today to get take out for lunch. It was my first time in Wahoo’s in quite some time so I needed a minute before placing my order. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the #2 combo plate, with 2 enchiladas & red sauce (one shrimp and one grilled wahoo), black beans and brown rice. I asked if the green sauce was green bc of cilantro, the cashier said «yes.» Since cilantro is so totally NOT my jam (fellow cilantro-​haters, you know), I got the red sauce. There was another employee behind the cashier (perhaps the manager?) who noticed that I said «no cilantro for me, please» and asked the cashier to put «no pico» on my order bc there is cilantro in it. Which is SO AWESOME of him! After placing my #2 combo order, I checked out the menu again and decided to also get the Baja Rolls. You know, because I’m an adult and can do what I want.
I got my to-​go bag and every employee on the way out was all: «have a great day!» and pretty smiley. It was really nice.
Fast forward to being back at work where I could enjoy the noms (ok so maaaaaaaybe I snuck one of the Baja Rolls in the car). Despite being ravenous, I managed to snap a pic of the food. Everything was exactly how I asked for it (no cilantro!!) and it was still pretty hot despite the INSANE amount of construction traffic that seems to be happening in every corner of Longmont.
The enchiladas were my favorite part. A reasonable amount of protein in each one (not a large amount, but not tiny either), no other unadvertised ingredients inside (surprise shredded cabbage or other such nonsense would have been ALL THE THUMBS DOWN), smothered in red sauce, with melted cheese on top. The enchiladas could have had 100% more red sauce on them, however, so they were a bit dry, in truth. Next time I’ll get extra red sauce on the side. (maybe even extra cheese… who knows? I get wild sometimes)
The rice was fine (good texture but not too much flavor outside of the normal brown rice taste) and the seasoning on the black beans was not my favorite, but that’s just personal preference. Next time, I’ll probably get 3 enchiladas and skip the rice and beans altogether.
Oh, the Baja Rolls were good, too. I liked that there was spinach in there and the outside being a bit crunchy was a nice contrast to the softer ingredients on the inside. There were also many more pieces in that box than I expected. They were cut into smaller pieces, too, so it’s a good dish to share.
This was definitely a solid four star experience. I’m sooo pumped I now know there is a Wahoo’s in Longmont. Next time I’ll eat in and have one of those refreshing looking margs.

I’m over-​the-​moon for the freshness, tastiness and speedy delivery of the combo platter No. 2… a belly-​filling taco and enchilada with a heaping side of beans and rice, with that remarkable roasted pepper green sauce. I can’t wait to get back for more!

I Love Wahoo’s! One of my favorite places, but about 50% of the time they give me the wrong kind of beans when I ask for black beans… but not a big deal

I love this place. Food is plentiful and delicious. Perfect at lunch time, place your order, pay, get your drink, and find a table. A few minutes later lunch is being brought out.

Nice quick lunch spot. A little pricey for what it is but the wahoo burrito I got was tasty.

Healthy, tasty quality food in a clean and interesting space. I have been a long time customer and they are consistently good and the service is fairly fast.

This is an above-​average example of an already-​damned-​good national chain. The food is solid, portions were huge, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much more fresh everything was than some Wahoos I’d been to in recent years (what the hell happened, California?).
The staff were super friendly and checked on me often. The interior also was clean and had the right aesthetic for a Wahoo’s, but wasn’t wallpapered floor to ceiling with eye-​wrenching skate/​surf crap. So my eyes didn’t bleed: bonus!
The negative reviews for this location were from YEARS ago. I would strongly recommend that you give this place a go, it’s well worth it.

I have been going here since it opened, always getting a beef bowl, enjoyed the friendly service. It must be under new management. I have not been in in about a year. Went today and was really disappointed — the beef was incredibly poor quality, disgusting really, and the portion size of the veggies has been decreased while the price has gone up. The man who delivered my food lectured me because I used a drink lid to hold my lines for my ice tea. Clearly saving money is all that is important here now. I will not be back.

Came in on a Thursday for kids eat free, and was very happy to see it was two kids meals per adult. This is great for my family of 6 and we had a great, fresh tasting meal for about the same price as McDonalds. I tried the special calamari tacos and they were tasty. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, would definitely go again!

I use these guys for larger lunches. normally 20 or more. They do a great job and always put me first. The food is always fresh, tasty and healthy. I have never had a bad meal there. The staff is friendly and easy to work with anytime of the day.
2 weeks ago I did a lunch for about 25 people. The meal was great. As I was checking out I forgot to order cookies, so I added them but had to do a 2^nd CC charge. I gave them a nice tip on the larger transaction (pick up order in my book should be about 10−12%), but nothing on the smaller one I lined it out and gave no additional tip.
I just went to review my expenses this month and found that the 30.00 tip I put not the larger payment was processed twice. I was clearly not happy and called Wahoo’s to work this situation out.
The manager was not there when I called, but I got a call back first thing in the morning. She was very apologetic and fixed the error immediately. She was amazing and exactly the type of person I would want working for me. She gets it, and she took great care of me. She refunded my 2^nd tip + the cost of the cookies (about 20.00’s). She also gave me a 15.00 gift card for lunch!
I ALWAYS give a business the benefit of doubt. I ALWAYS give them an opportunity to fix an error and admit when they are wrong. Wahoo’s made an error, fixed it immediately and was remorseful for the error. This is a company that gets it and a manager that has been well trained and given the flexibility to fix situations.
I will be back to Wahoo’s as soon as I possibly can to give them more of my business.

I love this wahoos!!! its always so FRESH! their bathrooms and tables are ALWAYS clean and to me that very important! They are also very friendly and fast to bringing out the food!

I have always enjoyed Wahoo’s. For a chain place they are pretty good. It has been a while since I was there last, and they have added brown rice so I’m even more a fan.
They aren’t as good as you’d get in Mexico or even in some of the smaller places in So. Cal, but the food is worth the calories and cost.

Still prefer either chipotle or qdoba, but they dont offer fish. so it’s still a place I would come back to!
Very friendly and helpful staff! Wasn’t even sure what I got after I ordered, since it was my first time there, and the cashier pretty much walked me through my order.
Spicy fish taco, with brown rice (great alternative), black beans and veggies! Fairly healthy for ‘fast food’! Taste pretty good too!

For essentially fast food, this is the best in Longmont. Can be semi-​healthy if you want but can also swing to the comfort side if necessary. Everything from salad, soup, and main dishes are worth trying. Staff is outstanding at this particular location which is why I’ve returned so many times over the years.
And they do serve a pretty fantastic marg if that’s your thing.

Went the, food was little change in taste. place was dirty though. Out of 4 tables, there only 1 seating table that clean. Went @ 11am ish, Poor cleaning morning or night crew

I’ll admit that I come here for the margaritas, but I can’t help it! They are that good! Even though they only have one flavor, it’s the best tasting marg I’ve ever had (but you have to like tartness), and they are strong. Two is my limit and I have a designated driver!
I guess I should add that the food is pretty amazing as well. I highly recommend the green sauce wherever you can get it. The shrimp tacos are awesome as well. The staff is always super friendly and pretty much know what my husband and I are going to order when we step up to the register. I love Wahoo’s because it kind of has a sit-​down feel but not a sit-​down price. We can get dinner, two drinks each, and queso appetizer for less than $ 40 (close to $ 32, if it’s happy hour). Not bad, in my opinion. Hope this helps! :)

Eek me thinks not, never again! This place is a hybrid of Long John’s & a cR@p burrito joint, instead of some kind of brilliant fusion cuisine you get fission. The Salmon could have only been worse if it was out of a can & I’ve had better Burritos from the frozen section at any gas station microwaved.
Sad too, the staff was nice & quick, but we came to eat & the food doesn’t sell this place. We ate here 3x bad & out of my options book for good now.

I agree the staff is very friendly and attentive, and the service is quick.
Maybe I didn’t order the correct food, but chicken bowl is just OK.

That’s an easy 4.5, but Unilocal doesn’t allow halfs. Boooooo!
I have to say this place is really good! It reminds me of a fast food joint, but don’t mistake them for one, they are way better. Even the margaritas are good!
I am from Houston and I have decided I want this place right next to my house!
