The Joint ...the chiropractic place

I’ve been seeing the chiropractor since I was 18 years older maintenance on and holidays condition. I’ve come to know what to «back-​cracking» techniques are good for my body and what is not. Dr Shimer is an awesome chiropractor. Very knowledgeable and she definitely gets the tough spots. She also provides tips on what you can do help prevent progressive regression — stretches, etc. The Joint Chiropractic has some not so wonderful chiropractors as I’ve tried a few in 3 different locations (including San Diego, CA). Dr. Shimer is the best there is. I highly recommend her. Also, call ahead of time to ensure that she is in the office. One of the drawbacks with The Joint is you can end up with any chiropractor (whoever happens to be available at that location)…but if you call ahead of time and ask if she’s there the day and time that you are planning to go, that would guarantee that you would be seen by her.

Dr. Shimer is one of my favorite chiropractors ever. She listens to your body and adjust accordingly. Excellent ability to adjust and create movement. Highly recommend. I wish I’d found her sooner.

If you’ve been to any other Chiropractor this will be unacceptable to you. I felt worse after every visit, they are sub-​par «speed chiropractic» and don’t put in the time to give good care. I purchased 20 visits and they refuse to refund my money for unused visits. Unfair, poor service

I give Dr. Shimer and the office staff five stars. I have been so happy with treatment given and the outcome of her adjustments.
As for my one star rating that is directed towards owners/​management. Do not count on any help if you do have a problem or are unhappy for any reason. You will receive a «tough luck» response from them and not even the courtesy of contacting you directly.
Sadly will probably not return because, while I appreciate Dr. Shimer, I am not willing to give my money to a company that doesn’t care about their patients.

I am so glad that my family and I discovered The Joint. We have been happy, returning customers for the past 3 months now. Previously, I had been paying 4 times the price at a different chiropractic office. It’s extremely affordable with great service and care. I have been to many chiropractors in my lifetime and Dr. Shimer is right up there with the best of them. Sheri, the receptionist, is always welcoming and helpful. Thank you so much!

I am very happy to have stumbled upon this little establishment.
I myself am a body-​worker and I am fully aware of the importance in caring for our bodies, as it is the only one we get. I am a mother, I have a physical job and I have had my share of car accidents. I was involved in a car accident 3 years ago, which pushed my body over the edge. I was suffering from chronic pain in multiple areas, along with chronic migraines. I discovered I had scoliosis that was exacerbated by the car accident and causing some of my other body pains as well as the normal traumas to the muscles following an accident. This made it difficult for me to find patience at home and depleted my desire to help other people with their pain. I had discovered a local chiropractor charging $ 20 per adjustment… A very good deal. Even at this dollar rate I was allowing myself only one visit per month, occasionally two. I longed for a bit more. But I was happy to see improvements with the visits I did allot for myself.
Eventually this chiropractor closed (Very Sad). I allowed myself to fall back into a pattern of not taking care of myself until once again my body was screaming. I finally started visiting a Chiropractor my fellow body-​worker highly recommended. I visited this chiropractor a few times. I felt he was good but my results were inconsistent and ultimately I could not afford him at 45 to 60 dollars a pop.
Then I discovered «The Joint»!!! I have always felt welcomed by the front desk staff, As I have also noticed their concern for me as a whole. I felt the first few Chiropractors were a bit soft handed for my personal preference. However at the incredible rate offered allowing me one Adjustment per week (which is how much I would pay for only one adjustment at my prior chiropractor), this did not matter. My body was improving based on the regular maintenance. Now that Dr. Shimer has joined their team, I could not be happier. Dr. Shimer takes care of me! She is always concerned for my well being as a whole. Upon finishing a treatment she always asks if my needs were met. Generally they are and in some cases she has to attack another issue but she always seems happy to oblige. I am now receiving the style of adjustments I prefer as well as the weekly maintenance I need at a rate I can afford! This is a win, win situation.
I myself am thoroughly pleased! As well, I make certain I can refer as many of my clients in need and acquaintances over to this establishment.

The day I decided to get an adjustment, we had 3inches of snow. But besides the weather, I went in and I was greeted into a very friendly environment. I was in and out feeling better than I was 10minutes prior. I’ll definitely be back in for another adjustment!
