Slot Car Speedway

Me and my kiddo have been going here for years now, and after a visit to a large, famous Chicagoland track this weekend, I needed to chime in on this place. The owner and most of the regular racers have always been super helpful, taking the time to help me tune up our cars and get them running right, even giving us parts sometimes when we don’t know what we’re doing. It can get crowded, but it’s still a bunch of fun. You can go there and play for cheap, getting great rental cars and running them on any track you want. Things can also get out of hand and you can end up spending alot of dough on some serious race machines. This is the only track in CO that I know of, and the prices there still can’t be beat on the internet. Great place to have some fun.

I took my fiancé here as a surprise just because it is such an oddity. We were cut a deal since we showed up around maybe 3:00pm on a Friday. The place has three adult sized race car tracks like when you were a kid. They are big ass tracks. We paid for 15 minutes and then upped our time to 30 minutes just to get to all of the tracks. It is like when you are a kid, kind of cool but then the novelty starts the wear off. There were two guys in there poking around and the owner (maybe) helping them out. He was nice and left us to our own devices while racing. Only hang up is when you want to change tracks you have to let them know so they can start up the timer, etc. We tried it, had some nostalgia and went on with our day. Nice for an out of the ordinary thing to do.
