The wife and I tried Samples last night, and it was GREAT! We hit them at Happy Hour and I tried the City Star Red Nectar while the wife had a good Pinot Grigio. We ordered from the Apps menu and went with three sliders, Korean BBQ chicken wings and Samples Artichoke and Arugala dip. All the food was excellent, and was served quickly. The service was great! Thanks Dee Dee!

What a wonderful place. Beer(tap) selection is superb. Happy hour is the best in town. I had a mix drink and is was great. I absolutely love their food, it was the third time I was there. We listened to live music and it set the mood just right. I will definitely be back to try more wonderful things on the menu. The bartender and waiter where super nice plus, plus the waiting staff. I can’t say anything negative about the place. I just can’t wait till the upstairs/outdoor seating opens.

Love this place! Food is good, atmosphere is great(especially in the summer). It’s the restaurant I take my out of town friends to.

Food was good but the service was terrible. It took an hour to get our bill and they over charged us. The staff was a hot mess.

Great spot for date night happy hour. Lots of great food options, $ 2 off draft beer and wine, and friendly service at the bar. We’ll be back!

New favorite place in Longmont! The bulgogi wrap was delicious(could use a few less sprouts) and the spätzle was filled with excellent flavors.

Great food and service. The server was knowledgable about food and what to pair with the fantastic microbrews on tap. Live music was the perfect noise level and entertainment to create a warm and inviting restaurant. The only negative is the lighting. Dimmers on the light and candles would make this a 10 over the 9 it’s currently at.

I love this place. It solves the ‘what do I order?’ dilemma. If you want to try a couple things, just order them! You will get sample size portions at reasonable prices. And the samples are international. We recently went for their Oktoberfest event(which I believe goes on for another couple of weeks). We went with a couple from Germany, and they were impressed with the authenticity and quality of the German selections. And there were lots of them! I was impressed too. There is precious little German faire available in Longmont. So this is exciting. They also have a great draft craft beer selection. We brought our steins and they filled them up — several times. We also went before Oktoberfest and really enjoyed it. In addition to the German they had Italian and Mexican selections — and many more! Best thing to happen to Longmont in a long time. Go now!

Stopped by with family that live in the area and we enjoyed our visit to Samples. There were eight of us and ordered a little bit of everything. Plenty of food and drink options. Very comfortable and relaxing environment. I recommend a few beer samples to find the right one and take your time. Great job and we will be back when in Longmont. I high encourage everyone to give them a try!

We have tried Samples four times now and sadly, the experiences have had a consistently disappointing aspect which seems to be getting worse, not better. The staff seem confused and untrained. There is invariably some failure of coordination which results in slow service, order mix ups, and /or cold food deliveries. The food can be good and it is refreshingly different than the rest of the fare in Longmont. It has potential to provide a nice night out … assuming you are willing to wait patiently and won’t mind eating it cold.

Husband and I decided to try this place for an early dinner after passing it several times. We had three tapas plates between us and were pleasantly full. Service was good, tables are close together, lots of options with different price points and several drink choices as well(although we didn’t try them this time). Recommend at least 3 plates between 2 people — come here with a larger group and you could try most of the menu. A very lovely space with indoor or outdoor seating and parking in front or in back.

Sorry, this place sucks. I went there with a group and none of the drinks received positive reviews. They were nearly undrinkable and none of us could actually finish a beverage. Poorly made and odd flavour combinations, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody. There are some basic bartending missteps here that even your customers could point out. Although the staff were really friendly, I can’t see myself going back. I wish you guys luck and hope things get better.

Awesome place. Delicious food, friendly staff, cool drinks and a roof top! Jim burger and fries were ridiculously good. Homemade ketchup was tasty and spicy. Red cabbage was great.

I wish this place was better. The food is very mediocre. The gravy on the schnitzel was institutional. The difference between a gravy made with cornstarch and a proper gravy made with flour is dramatic. They cut too many corners. Calling prosecco with chambord«kir royale» is an abomination. Just call it something else. Every cocktail that gets mixed does not need to be shaken. PLEASESTOPSHAKINGMYBOURBONDRINKS! And when I say, «wow, this doesn’t taste very good shaken,» maybe attempt to rectify the situation? Getting stuck with a disappointing $ 11 cocktail is the worst.

…Looking for a come up… This is flippin’ awesome! If you’ve been to Longmont and are the type of person who is looking for a more elevated experience than Village Inn, you might previously have found yourself a wandering lost soul. …Enter Samples… What a place! Upon first foot in the door, chic and impeccably decorated. We headed to the rooftop deck because it’s June in Colorado and you take your outdoor dining when you can get it. And wow, just as impeccable! Beautiful granite bar with plentiful taps and shaded tables under the trees. Yes, under the TREES. They have carved out a beautiful open air space on main street where the trees canopy the deck. Gorgeous! But what about the food Madi? They have a diverse and interesting menu, takes you for a trip around the world. So even if you bring someone that is annoyingly picky, they have something for them. And EVERYthing is made from scratch. And you can taste it. From the wedge to the brat to the homemade fries, it was all great. But what about the beer Madi? What a list! There is so much to choose from(in a good way). Both we tried were fantastic. A 10.2 pilsner offering was light and crisp and ensured you only needed to order one. Chatted with the owner a bit. Loved his vision for the place and the kind of vibe he wants to bring to Longmont. A wonderful steward of the city. Longmont is lucky to have him and lucky to have such a wonderful bistro. Bravo!

The food really deserves 5 stars from me. Everything else(based on a 1 time visit) is 3 stars. 4 stars for a happy medium. We entered on a week night because we had heard tell that there was a new restaurant in town that also offered a rooftop patio option(only other competitor that I know of, is the Roost)…We walked in and asked the hostess if we could sit up on the rooftop patio — she said it was currently full. Fair enough. Next question: Do you know how long the wait is for a table on your rooftop patio? Reply from hostess: «No»…Period. No PERIOD. Nothing else. Granted she seemed young, perhaps her first job EVER, but please… if someone from Samples is reading this… train your staff well enough to be able to give an estimated wait time for a table! Its the first step to a happy customer, and the first interaction you have with potential patrons. So, after an awkward 20 seconds of silence(which felt like 5 minutes) I asked if we could sit outside on the street patio. Some people were leaving, a table was opening up. Okay — great! Now we have a table, and can get to the part that warrants the 5 stars. It is all tapas style dining, and for the two of us we split 4 dishes, which was plenty. 1. mushroom risotto plate was really good 2. power salad, also delicious 3. We ordered fries because… you can tell a lot about a place on how the serve their fries. amiright? 4. we also ordered their fancy grilled cheese, the grilled chèvre and cheddar, which was the best grilled cheese Ive had. We ended up sneaking upstairs before we left to at least SEE what the rooftop was all about, and it actually looks very nice. I can see why there were a lot of people up there! Nice lights, full bar, and lots of tables overlooking main street. Next time, Id like to wait for a table upstairs… if I can be told an estimated wait time, that is!

Well yes it is little pricey and yes the serving are a little on the conservative side, but which cancels everything I have said so far. The flavor a of what you get make up for it. We tried the artichoke dip which was very good. Served with flatbread and veggies. Well celery and carrots. Other had a salad which they said was done right. I had a interesting dish that was French fries topped with cheese curds and braised short rib with gravy. I am telling you how could you not like that. Fun drinks nice roof top deck and inside was great as well. Go ahead try it.
