This is my local King Soopers and they are really great. I love the staff and King Soopers in general as our family business has a partnership with their main baking facility in Denver. But I’m really here to write about the wonderful staff of the King Soopers Meat Department today. One word: TURDUCKEN! I wanted to make a turducken for my Christmas dinner and after calling around I was initially told that Whole Foods was doing them. I had originally placed an order with them at a price of 7.99 p/lb which they informed me was going to be around 20LB. Well that’s about 150.00 that it may have cost me. They also said it could be on sale the day I picked it up but I wouldn’t know till then. So I figured between 100 – 150 for the Turducken from WF. After re-evaluating the budget and hassle I was going to cancel and just get a turkey. Then I decided to inquire at the meat department and Sean was happy to help me. It seems that several of the guys in the meat department are butchers and he said it wasn’t a problem. All it would cost me was the cost of the turkey, duck, and cornish hen. He even stuffed it for me with a dressing of my choice and apple, while completely de-boning the duck and hen while only leaving the bones of the drumsticks and wings of the Turkey intact. Once he told me that; I placed an order with King Soopers instead and canceled the expensive one at Whole Foods. I was thinking that it still was going to run me a bit more(like 50.00−60.00) but I picked it up today to start prepping and Sean made it perfectly to what I requested. I have a Turducken that is around 15lbs and it cost me all of… wait for it…36.00 for the whole thing! I was able keep my budget WAY down by doing it through them. I’m so excited and he was sweet enough to give me a few hints on how to cook it and told me to watch out for little bones just in case(on the turkey only) but, that’s no big deal if there are. He also told me that he felt it and it seemed pretty good but still wants to be a little cautious. TIP: Now in Longmont; ONLY the King Soopers on HOVER can offer this type of service since their department is staffed with pro cutters/butchers. Sean told me that they are one of the only locations with such a rock star staff and facility. They are also ALL so nice there. This is a great store in general with great people. Sean and the meat department really helped me make a minor dream come true of getting a turducken… yes I know that may be a silly dream but I’m a foodie so I love this stuff. Thank you Sean and King Soopers on Hover! You helped in making my Christmas dinner a super memorable one!

My favorite grocery store! I come here almost daily for an iced coffee and the workers at the Starbucks are the best. They are always super friendly and accommodating to my children and they love all the free samples. I can find almost anything I need here and most of the cashiers have been friendly. The store is very clean and shelves are almost always being stocked! Being a Colorado transplant I had never heard of King Soopers but I’m so happy I gave it a try! I also love how many local Colorado veggies, fruits and products they have.

This place is handy to go to during my lunch break or after work, its always appears clean and the service at the deli and hot foods counters are fast and efficient. I like to go to King Soopers because their prices are usually better than the competition and they allow me the chance to earn free groceries.(using their store loyalty card and their credit card) Plus sign up for their email club and they will send you special members only coupons and each Friday you get an instant online downloadable coupon that you place on your shoppers card for a free item.

So I ordered a party tray online 2.5 days before a party I was having. It was a bread tray with olive tapenade, bruschetta spread and hummus. Awesome. I go Friday to pick up the order, ask someone where to find it, and meh, they can’t. No record of it. I speak to a nice manager of the deli, he can’t find it. He reviews my email confirmation that I show him on my phone and I say kindly that I’m in a hurry, as my party starts in an hour. He hails a higher manager. I re-explain calmly, show him my receipt and advise about the time situation. Unfortunately no one had made the tray before, and didn’t know how long it would be to put it together. They offered to deliver it free of charge. They gave me an estimate of 10 – 15 minutes on the tray, so I decided to pick up my cupcakes from Romana Cake house, just across the street and then swing back and get the tray. Everyone was extremely nice, and I was understanding, as these things happen. When I returned, they had gone above and beyond in order to make up for my experience. They apologized profusely and truly made up for an error. I want to thank Mike, Chris, all the deli and hot food staff, as well as all the upper management team. You guys are the savior of such a small mistake. I am so grateful for all of their hard and fast work, as well as how they handled this. It’s inevitable there will be issues that come up when it’s a big company, but how staff and companies deal with their customers, will determine how often customers return. I would still tell everyone to shop there. Do it. And order your party tray’s for super bowl Sunday. You will be treated with respect.

The best of the King Soopers in Longmont. In general, it has the best pricing for packaged goods of any store in Longmont. The bakery is solid as are the deli salads.

This is the best grocery in town, very well stocked great meat and produce selection I love the new olive bar they put in. The hot soup selection is amazing. I love the deli for a quick bite the sushi is amazing! Starbuck inside the store makes great drinks, floral a bit small but usually a good selection. Over all clean store with friendly staff.

Good store, with a large selection and decent sale prices. My ony gripe is that they do not have enough staff for check out. I have witnessed rediculous lines on an average day and aveage time, and during these times, only saw 2 checkout lines open. Even the self check backs up considerably as shopers try and find a faster alternative. I typically go very early in the morning to avoid this.

This is one of 3 King Soopers in Longmont and by my account, the best one in town. Most of the staff is easily found if in need of help, and are usually very happy to help you out. The shelves are always stocked and the produce is way better(more fresh and better selection) than any other grocery store in town. The managers of this store are practically omnipresent, hovering around the check-out lines at their little«stand.» They tend to act bothered when a cashier calls them for an override, which is a bit irritating. The bag-boys always make up for it though. They are absolutely delightful to talk to, always have a smile, and are very good about striking up fun conversations. I can’t say the same for the girl baggers or cashiers. They always seem«put-out» and can’t wait for their next break. They just put in 4 more self-checkout devices which makes life much more convenient and the store gets an A+ for cleanliness.

What I really like about this store is the sushi. They have awesome sushi chefs that make really delicious sushi fresh each day. It’s worth going to the grocery just for this.

Very nice staff in every single department. Sometimes the deli folks get to chatting and I cannot get their attention, especially the older women, but they are extremely attentive and efficient once they get to you. The younger ones do not seem to get caught up in the chatter. I am finding the prices to be better than Safeway but more than the Super Walmart. However, it is much easier to get into and check out of the King Soopers. Plus they have the gasoline discounts, so I do continue to shop here. Bakery department sometimes seems ‘bothered’ but probably due to understaffing.

I don’t know if this one is better or worse than the Safeway in town. I thik the meat selection is better here, but some of the prices might be better at the Safeway. I found some ground pork for my tofu dish, and was satisfied enough with it. Entire aisle of teas and coffees, plus a decent bakery. Upon further review, I do think the prices are better than the ones at Safeway. Annie’s Mac and Cheese, dollar each; assorted chocolate bars, buy one get one free. Maybe the only thing that is lacking are cheap vegetables, but everything green is more expensive than in California. Seems also to have a much better selection of real cheeses, if you’re willing to fork over $ 9/lb. for Comte, for example. I might just have to wait till my next trip to France. Friendly helpful staff. Conveniently located in the west side of Longmont.
