I love this shop! Incredibly friendly owners who are not only laidback but also so sweet! The coffee is fresh and robust. I don’t love their chais though. I’m not a huge fan of the chai because they make it using their own special blend. They ask you questions to modify your chai before making it, but I still wasn’t a fan.

I’ve been coming here with my family as long as I can remember. We love the owners and products! The veggie burrito is the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had-seriously. The hot salsa is delicious and HOT. Love that stuff. The coffee and chai is excellent too. I’ll continue coming here!

My cousin and aunt brought me here for a light breakfast. What wonderful proprietors, a what a great place! They specialize in great coffee and home-cooked pastries; only the bagels they sell are made elsewhere. Breakfast was delicious, and one of their espresso-nut-chocolate-chip cookies helped keep me awake the next day as I drove home.(I live a *long* ways away.) Hope I get to come back sometime soon.

We moved to Lafayette, and Java Stop is one of the only plavces I miss stopping in at. His foot is excellent. The coffee cakes which he also makes gluten free are superb. I can never turn them down, same with his muffins. He makes nearly everything from scratch! Kevin and Ellen have worked so hard, bit they have truly succeeded in making a very cozy, comply environment, with awesome food.

Best quiche in Longmont! Even the gluten free was amazing… And affordable! Kevin and Ellen(owners) have been behind the counter every time we’ve come in over the past 10 years… And we’ve never had a bad meal! Want baked goods? Try the morning glory or pumpkin cranberry muffins… Awesome.

The owners are amazing which just matches the quality of their food, coffee, and baked goods! We had raspberry mochas topped with their homemade whipped cream and veggie burritos… OMGYUM. The quality of the food is exceptional and the burrito was delightful! We left with a slice of chocolate espresso pound cake on recommendation from one of the owners and my fiancé and I are trying to figure out a way to ration it until we can go back to Java stop again!!! Highly recommend! Also, their«very very very hot salsa» is homemade and it truly is really really hot, however it has a very developed and rich flavor! Try it!!!

Oh god these people are so awesome and the coffee is so good! They don’t take cards(as of yesterday) but I’m sure that’s right around the corner. Bring your phone for a wifi hotspot cuz there’s no wifi yet either. The java here is fantastic. Whoever does their bean selection knows their business, and they whip up the concoctions quickly, with skill, and the friendliest freaking demeanor I’ve ever seen. The interior is very set-of-Friends-TV-show-ish, lots of eclectic mismatched furniture and a lot of sedate, pleasant clientele. I enjoyed my brief visit here immensely just because of the qualities I mentioned and will certainly be back when I don’t have so much crap to do.

Love this place! When I moved to Longmont this was the first place I felt«home» and comfortable. The owners are charming, intuitive and obviously love their shop. Their hot salsa is crazy crazy hot, their coffee is excellent. Their bagels are good and when a coffee pot is empty Kevin says«there are no problems here, only solutions» as he smilingly brings over the back up carafe.

Amazing people running this place. Very friendly. The food is pretty good and has an excellent range of espresso based coffees. I didn’t see any pour-overs or cold brew. The atmosphere is home and comfortable. Filled with mismatched table and chairs. Very comfortable.

Java Stop is my favorite coffee shop in all of Longmont. The owners are kind, helpful and trusting. The coffee & baked goods are great & they offer a wide variety. It’s funky with a cozy comfortable feel to the place. The perfect spot to meet a friend and socialize or curl up solo on a sofa chair and read a captivating novel.

Great shop! It hits all the right notes for me. Anybody who reads my posts knows I fuss about my coffee. Here I had a perfectly proportioned, well-made Cappuccino on one occasion and well-pulled espresso on another. A good espresso, well-roasted and pulled, stands on its own with no sugar. Java Stop’s espresso hits that, making me a happy guy. The pastries, made on the premises, are inventive and as high-quality as you might find at a more commercial bakery – but are whimsical and homemade at the same time. Breakfast burrito on yet another occasion was superb with a heat-index that challenged this New Yorker’s taste buds. Java Stop gets the 5th star for a chill, funky vibe and engaging service. Kevin’s sense of humor is bizarre, veering from George Carlin and Stan Freeberg(!) references to his own unique take on life, the universe, and everything else. Ellen is down-to-earth and engaging. If you’re on the way through town, you should definitely stop in to this unique, independent coffee shop. If you’re in Boulder, you should make the trip up.

At the Java Stop ye cup shall overfloweth with delicious beverage served up not by an anonymous, perhaps surly, barista but by the lovely, entertaining and enlightening owners Kevin and Ellen. A gem in the crown of Longmont, dawdle not in bed but go forth to experience this authentically coffee shop coffee shop replete with the hot dark stuff, great conversation, and an array of reading material. Cuddle on the couches or sit at a flagstone table, enjoy the artwork and the chill vibe. Ok I’ll stop trying to eff the ineffable, just go! And don’t try to pay until ye have justly enjoyed ye treats!

Any place that is this hospitable and customer friendly deserves five stars! The only reason for 4 is because it needs a little TLC and comfy furniture. Other than that, the food and drinks are amazing. Great pastries and breakfast burritos. And any place that expects you to pay only after they know you’re satisfied is aces in my book. And a toddler friendly coffee shop is a beautiful thing! Very friendly neighborhood establishment.

I have a crazy love of this place. Everything I’ve had tastes good, they have a good selection of non-coffee drinks(natural sodas, etc.) it’s decorated with things I love, and the owner is hilariously quirky. The downsides are that it is cash-only, they do not actually have wireless internet, and they close at 2 in the afternoon. These downsides keep me from hanging out there for too long… otherwise I’d be there all day. Their bagels are insanely good/cheap, and their breakfast sandwich is TODIEFOR.

A wonderful coffee shop in the heart of Longmont. This place has a distinct hippie vibe as soon as you walk in. Remember Penny Lane in Boulder? It’s like that, without the homeless people contingent. Brick walls, old beat to hell furniture. Lots of seating. Big comfy chairs and some couches along with several tables. Just, all around inviting and a comfortable as hell place to hang out. On top of that excellent coffee.

This is my new love in Longmont, which isn’t to say that Javastop is new. It has been around for quite some time. But I recently rediscovered it, and now I go there at least twice a week. It has become my coffee shop of choice. The owners are so, so nice, and it is no wonder that there are so many regulars there. They don’t mind that my toddler and her peers scatter muffin crumbs around the floor.(We’re working on it, but eating tidily takes some practice.) They even have a closet full of toys for just her kind. This place is definitely kid-friendly(and kid-approved!) But rather then being a rumpus room, Javastop has a really nice cozy and relaxed feel. The coffee is great, as are the baked goods(espresso pound cake — yum!) and there are a number of tasty breakfast sandwich and burrito options as well. Their prices are very reasonable.
