We were very happy with our meal and server was attentive but not overbearing. All 4 of us enjoyed what we ordered but a few highlights were the beet salad & the truffle fries, they are soooo good! Our favorite drink: Basil Gray, been trying to duplicate it since! If we weren’t so far away we would be here often!

Did the brunch and was very unimpressed. Carving station was unmanned until lines were 5 – 6 deep. Prime rib was way to rare. They ran out of plates. Service was slow and our group ran out water/drinks several times. Wife had a Bloody Mary that she stated«was the worst I’ve ever had». Way overpriced. Struck me as an overpriced Golden Corral.

Wow! We were amazed. Food, drink, and service all outstanding. Looking forward to my next meal here. Perhaps the best cocktail I’ve had in Boulder county! Yes, I’ve been to the Bitter Bar.

Very impressed. Got the fillet and it was cooked to perfection. Most restaurants don’t know what rare, medium rare and medium are. These guys know exactly what it is. Wonderful presentation. The meal was a work of art; it was sad to have to eat it, until I ate it. Then I was very happy indeed. Wonderful and unique sauces and perfectly seasoned veggies. Excellent service. Seated promptly, watered and breaded quickly(wonderful bread with shaved butter). The waitress was very attentive but not overbearing. A pro. If you’re a drinker, they take their mixed drinks more seriously than the nose in the air elist Boulder folks who are ‘serious’ about it, but they do it with a genuine smile and not even a pinch of bad attitude. This place exudes quality, confidence and style. It’s also damn fine food and drink. I would even venture to say some of(maybe the) best food in Longmont and among the best in Boulder County.

Stared at the best western connected to the restraint. Called and tried to order room service. The lady in the phone said they where not doing that today. I offer edit I go down and pickup the takeout myself but she flat out refused to give us any service at all with no explanation. The hotel was great but this restraint just refused to serve us. Please help out humanity and don’t go to or spend any money and bigotry places like this.

Imagine a great farm to table restaurant with exceptional food and exceptional service. You’ve been there, right? Now imagine that same place at a Best Western. Ewwww, right? That’s the quandary. The food was great, maybe the best steak of the year. The waitstaff knows food, was super friendly and attentive. This might be the best waitstaff in Longmont. However, the dining room is attached to the oldest, most dated hotel in town. When the carpet was installed, most Americans trusted Congress. This building is in dire need of a D-9 renovation. I’d definitely eat here again. The food is worth it. However, there are approximately 327 establishments in Longmont with better ambience. This includes the Waffle House at 119 and I-25. Try the food, but leave your glasses at home.

Mmmm. I’m eating the ‘dirty banana’ as I’m writing this review. Has sort of a rum flavor to it. Came in for a quick snack. Had the devil’d eggs three ways. The ham one was the best. Good service. Classier than the other restaurants that had occupied that a space in the past.

What a refreshing addition to Longmont! The menu is loaded with unique, delicious offerings; even the drink menu is unique. I loved the deviled eggs 3 ways! I also love that you draw from locally-grown. And the staff is fabulous. We have been mutliple times, most recently on the patio, and will call this our new favorite hangout place.

Service: 1 star Food: 3 stars Ambiance/décor: 2 stars We had big hopes for this place — it’s always exciting when Longmont gets a new, nicer restaurant. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. Our waitress(Liz) was awful. She came to say hello and quickly walked away without saying much of anything, really. She returned a few minutes later to take our drink order — saying that she was«sure she had already told us, but that the wine bar was open.» Um, no. We were not told about the wine bar but decided to go that route. Wine bar = free tastings of by-the-glass wines to decide which you would like best. She took our order for the first tasting without asking if we were ready to order. When she returned to drop off the wines, again, we were not asked if we were ready to order. We ordered a second taster — you guessed it, no curiosity about our meal order. Upon returning with those, again, we were not asked if we were ready to order — and instead, we stopped her before she walked away and let her know that it was time. This process was at least 20 minutes in total, if not longer. The food was actually pretty good. We shared two«starters»: beet salad and french onion soup. Both were very tasty — I would absolutely recommend the beet salad. We also shared two entrees: the mussels(which is listed on the ‘shareables’ side — $ 10) and the halibut. Another review listed that the portion sizes are large — this is not the case. I think they were appropriate, but by no means are they LARGE. The mussels were delicious and there were plenty of them. The halibut was on the smaller side(especially for $ 20) but it was yummy. However, I was disappointed with the sides — fingerling potatoes and squash. There was ONE fingerling potato sliced on the plate for presentation and six very thin slices of squash. They both tasted good but it simply wasn’t enough. Don’t be stingy with the veggies! It is noted up top that Harold’s is quiet. NOPE. It was very, very loud — at times to the point where I could not hear my boyfriend who was no more than 3 feet from me. Yikes. They don’t have any of those acoustic boards on the ceiling and there is really no fabric anywhere to absorb the sound. Don’t go here expecting a quiet meal. Lastly, I will note that the both the owner and the chef stopped by our table at different points in the evening(shit, we were there long enough!) to ask how everything was. It was a nice touch — makes it personal. Anyway, we decided not to stay for dessert though they sounded pretty good: carrot cake with buttercream frosting(blasphemous, if you ask me… carrot cake without cream cheese frosting!?), banana cake with guava frosting and peach crème brûlée. At this point, we probably won’t be back.

Like walking into an X-files episode. This place has the creepiest ambiance I have experienced since leaving multiple decades in law enforcement. Even had a creeper at the bar«inconspicuously» photographing and filming people.

First, come here hungry, portions are large. Second, just because its attached to a hotel doesn’t mean it is bad, this is a nice place and never crowded so come check it out! Desserts are provided by a local bakery and lots of the food is from local farms. Of note, if you get«The Flight», it can be done with all three($ 19) or just one(I recommend the chicken pâté, $ 10). Also to note, the carrot cake has a buttercream frosting, not cream cheese. Drinks are solid, service is great.

Been quite a few times now and I haven’t been disappointed!!! The bayonet room is full of personality and the mixologists are knowledagble and attentive — I love the Basil Grey cocktail! yum! Natasha rocked it on Valentines day as the only bartender there with a full house! The food is also amazing! Valentines dinner was great! Burgers with truffle fries– tasty, the mac and cheese-drool, the layonaisse salad –yum! my fav, the corn and tomato soup combo that was on the fall menu– delicious! I look forward to the warm summer months and sitting out on the patio! Cheers!

Went to Harold’s for a drink and an appetizer with my husband. We sat at the bar in the lounge and loved the décor. We split the portobello mushroom flat bread and that was delicious. I had a Jack Rose and my hubbie had a beer. We’ll definitely be going back for dinner and drinks.

I’d been looking forward to checking out this new-ish place — liked the look of the menu online and the vintage style lights on the outside. Welcome was very nice and the dining room had a good atmosphere although it was quiet on the night we were there. We shared the chicken liver mousse to start and it was really excellent. Entrees were less impressive — lobster pappardelle and burgers were just OK; fries were really, really heavily salted — so much so that we couldn’t eat more than a few. Would have liked to see some sides featuring veg — it was mainly fries and potato based, Service was very good, and they didn’t charge for the fries which were too salty. Overall, a pleasantish meal but not enough to make it a regular eating place for us.

I visited Longmont a couple weeks back while looking for an apartment, and was staying at the Best Western(which is attached to Harold’s). It was close and convenient, so I checked it out on my first night. In short, I enjoyed it so much I came back every night until my stay at the hotel was over. Here’s the breakdown: The food is great. The first night I came here I had the hamburger and truffle fries because Noah the bartender(we’ll get back to him in a bit) recommended it. It was honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Top 5 for sure. I also like it with the added blue cheese, really delicious. The truffle fries are phenomenal as well, I really don’t have the vocabulary to do them justice, so I won’t even try to explain them to you. Just try them. When I moved into my apartment last week, I brought my parents here and we had some of the more expensive dishes off the menu. I had the Chop Salad, Roasted Beet & Chevre Terrine(which is a very good light entrée), and the Wild Mushroom Risotto. Everything was very good. Exactly what you would expect from a top level restaurant like Harold’s. The drinks here exceed the food, if you can believe it. The head bartender, Noah, is hands down the most knowledgeable mixologist I’ve ever come across. The other bartender, Natasha, is very good as well. She’s still learning a lot from Noah, but don’t sleep on her skills, she’s far better than your restaurant chain bartender. They have such big selection of alcohols, and an equally expansive repertoire of drinks. You can give Noah any kind of criteria for a drink; how sweet you like it, how fruity, what type of alcohol… and he’ll make you something off the top of his head that is exactly what you’re looking for, but have never heard of. In summary, I’ve been very impressed with both the food and drinks at Harolds. The staff are all very friendly. Keep in mind that this restaurant is literally only a couple months old, so some of the staff are very new to the menu, and they’re still working out a couple kinks here and there, but despite that I’ll still give their staff and service 5 stars. So yea, everything is awesome here, check it out.

We were very disappointed with Harold’s. Our waitress seemed to have no training & lacked basic knowledge of the menu & food in general. Our appetizers & entrees were both served luke warm. The restaurant was not busy, we were one of the last tables to eat that evening. We felt very rushed. Our desert was brought out before we had finished eating dinner. We were so happy to see a new restaurant open in town but unfortunately we will not be returning.

Drove past this place a few times but the outside was not calling to me to try. However, my husband suggested we go to Harold’s for New Years Eve. They had a special buffet and I was impressed by many of the dishes. This is a farm to table type restaurant. Our fare included Confit Leg of Duck with cous cous, wild mushroom risotto, and poached halibut along with some appetizers. My favorite was the wild mushroom risotto but everything was fantastic. The service was great. It was nice to meet the Noah(the manager) and Jeff(the owner). Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. The most appealing thing is this restaurant is in Longmont. It will be nice to stop in here instead of trekking to Boulder all the time. I plan to return.

This is the sort of place where you usually have to drive to Boulder to find: farm-to-table ingredients, a talented chef, and top-notch service. My wife and I dined here for New Year’s Eve, and they did not disappoint. They had a special buffet featuring duck confit with couscous, poached halibut, and wild mushroom risotto. Additionally, on the buffet, they had appetizers of chicken and duck liver mousse, a delightful sundried tomato tapenade, a wild mushroom duxelle, and other terrific items. In other words, it was like no other buffet that I’ve ever seen, and it was all delicious. I particularly liked the duck, which was perfectly prepared, but I also greatly enjoyed the couscous and the risotto. Additionally, the service was attentive, but not overbearing. Like I said, this is the sort of place that those of us in Longmont have to drive down the Diagonal Highway to find and I’ll definitely be back on a more conventional night to dine a la carte.

I am so happy this place is here and I am really hoping they last. First and foremost, the lounge is awesome. Lovely and luxe décor, with a very cool bar. Great list of liquors and really nice featured cocktails. Their beer list is nothing to sneeze at either. The dinner menu is really nice, although pricey. The emphasis is on seasonal, local foods, and they have a second course that changes each week depending on what they find at the farmers market. If you are looking for a nice place to go on a date night, this would be a great option.

Eryc E and I live in Longmont and with the recent passing of both Terroir and the(unfortunately named) Your Place or Vine, we’re breathing an audible sigh of relief to have Noah, Jeff et al starting up this venture.(We didn’t know either of them prior to our first visit to the Bayonet Room. This isn’t an «insider» review.) The cocktails were inventive, yet worked solidly. The atmosphere was swank but comfortable. The service was friendly but not overbearing. We’ll be back. To Mike W’s concern: Noah actually mentioned that they’re going to take down drink prices AND they’re adding a Happy Hour.
