Although they have great in store customer service and prices you can forget about it when it comes to standing behind their product and trying to return damaged and defective merchandise. They make it impossible to work around your work schedule and you have to cater to theirs. They don’t work well with you or give much notice as to when they’ll come inspect the damaged goods. Terrible terrible. Shame on you Jake Jabs. Fine way to treat fellow veterans and the handicapped.

We have often purchased furniture at AFW and have always been pleased. Our last couch had a manufacturer malfunction. However, I contacted AFW customer service, and I was contacted within an hour by someone in the customer service department. Although the couch I had purchased was no longer in stock, I was able to work with Jolina to exchange my purchase within 48 hours. Everyone in the customer service department as well as the delivery team was 100% efficient, professional, and courteous. Despite the flaw in the couch, I am still completely satisfied with my new furniture and will continue to shop at AFW!

Cheap furniture THATDOESN’T LAST… Moved to CO bought a couch, recliner, bed, mattress, dressers, tv entertainment center, desk, coffee table, mattress and a bed set. The couch ripped on two spots, the handles fell off of the dresser in multiple places, and the bed frame completely fell apart and collapsed when my dog jumped on the bed. Almost everything I have bought in under a year has fell apart in some way.

Oh. My. Gosh. What a joke! We were buying a mattress from this place and we couldn’t find ANYONE to help us. We even went up to 2 different sales people on the floor and when one lady finally caught on that we were actually buying something, she was all of a sudden on board to help us. I understand that you have sales goals, but a word of advice from some that also works somewhere with high sales goals, don’t treat your customers like just a sale. It looks bad. Real bad. THEN we went to check out at the cashier downstairs and the lady was RUDE! She was THE rudest person I think I have ever dealt with inside a business… anywhere. I get better service at McDonalds I think compared to what this lady was like. She was rude about having to help us. She then called upstairs to «Susan»(I’m guessing the sales associate that helped us, I don’t know. She never introduced herself) to ask about what mattress we were buying and was TALKINGBADABOUTANOTHEREMPLOYEEOVERTHEPHONEINFRONTOFUS. Any question I asked her she rolled her eyes and sighed like her life was so hard. I looked down at her name tag to make sure I knew her name when I was going to call the manager and complain, but it said«Michelle office manager» on her name tag! WHAT! YOU’RE a manager and YOU treat customers like this? That’s discouraging and if you act that way, who is to say your boss is any better? I let her finish the transaction and the whole time, my daughter had a little stuffed animal that was for sale in her hands. I then asked this Michelle ‘office manager’ if we could add the little stuffed animal to our transaction and she rolled her eyes again and I pulled my credit card out to pay for it and then she said«uhmm it’s free since you bought something». Oh cool. Thanks for letting us know when you saw my 2 year old playing with it the whole time we stood there with you and dealt with your attitude. That’s excellent customer service. We were willing to pay for it, but I’m glad to know you were just going to let us put it back and not pay for it when it was FREE for us in the first place. I understand that people have bad days and sometimes it is hard to keep your best customer service face on, but WOW. Because of Michelle we will never go back and buy anything from this place. We wanted to come back and buy a whole bedroom set, but no way will we come back to this store and deal with this behavior again. The other American Furniture Warehouses are happy to take our sale and at least have a smile on their face while doing it. We will tell everyone about our experience now. Holy cow. I thought shopping for furniture was suppose to be exciting for families and not suppose to feel like we were a burden to the employees of the place we were buying it from.

My partner and I bought a lot of furniture when we first moved to Colorado. Of the items that we purchased from the American Furniture Warehouse, the only item truly worth the hassle was our bed. It was reasonably priced and has served us better than any other mattress. But sadly, everything else was a flub. We spent several thousand dollars at this store. For the money, we were originally delivered a loveseat we had ordered but it showed up in the wrong color. They were able to switch it out, but being available for the movers required more time off from work. Further, we had ordered several dining room chairs, but it seems that the employee we worked with had only bothered to order us 1 — which was broken in the truck before its arrival, leaving us with yet another deliver. Instead of wasting any more time, we went to the warehouse to pick it up ourselves. That experience took over an hour as we saw other families who had checked in to the warehouse after us picking up their couches and more. And alas, there we sat, waiting on just a single, solitary chair. Working with customer service was frustrating. They reimbursed us for the original delivery fees since the deliveries were so problematic every time. But the employee, when we encountered her again while getting the chair, had never been told about how royally she screwed up during the ordering process(between entering the wrong color for the couch and underordering for the chairs) and was utterly miffed at our discontent. It’s sad to realize that employees are not getting valuable feedback on their performance. For this reason, it seems overwhelmingly likely that this will continue to happen. That’s a gamble that I’m not willing to take again.

I’ve made 3 separate purchases from AFW over the past several months. I’m having an issue with one piece of my theater sectional and was informed that it could be repaired under warranty, but that there would be a $ 99 charge to pick it up(in a town that they deliver to twice a month anyway) and that I would be without the piece for two weeks until they brought it back. The alternative was to drive the 140 miles to bring it down myself and leave it… then, I’m guessing, return to pick it up or pay $ 99 to have it re-delivered. Brutal warranty policy. I’m done spending money with American Furniture Warehouse.

My mom bought a bed 2 weeks ago, when they put it together they didn’t do it right. The legs ended up collapsing on the bed because they did not screw them in right. When she called to get service, a very nice gentleman came and informed us of the problem. It ended up that the warehouse didn’t even get him the right parts to fix the bed!!! We will NEVER be buying anything from this store EVER again! HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE!!!

AFW is an awesome furniture store. The prices are very reasonable and the service is outstanding. There is a great inventory on items. We took two pieces home with us, and the rest was just delivered with«white glove service,» as promised. We’ve looked at a couple furniture stores in the Denver area, but AFW has had the quality, pricing, and services we needed most. Highly recommend a trip to any of their warehouses.

Love the prices here at AFW. In the past three years, we have bought two couches, a dining room table, a mattress, a bed frame, night stands… Everything is still in fantastic shape. The warranty on the couches are GREAT! They have come twice now to repair our couch frame free of charge. My one complaint would be the lack of consistency regarding the sales people. They are either clinging to you, to the point where you cannot shop on your own because they are following you like a puppy dog OR you can’t find anyone to help! Regardless, prices are great & we will definitely go back the next time we need furniture.

We came here looking for simple, traditional living room furniture, and were just floored by the low prices.(there’s NOTHING to compare to this store in Northern Virginia.) We found a Lane brand reclining chair that we loved, and were trying to find a small scale loveseat to go with it when we ran into Micah(the same mentioned in a previous review.) He was awesome. He pointed us right to a loveseat in the same brand so we were able to coordinate fabrics. My husband and I are weird, picky, anal retentive shoppers when it comes to furniture, and he was incredibly patient and frankly amused by us as we compared fabrics and discussed shapes and pillows. He took us on a whirlwind trip of the store as we tried to find small scale coffee tables(why does everything have to be so BIG?) and advised us to come back again to check new stock. We got two reclining chairs, and they were delivered a few days later by cheerful delivery men who were very excited to not have to tote furniture up the stairs. The loveseat arrived 5 weeks later, even though the forms advised 6 to 8 weeks. We did deal with other salespeople in our multiple visits here, so don’t be afraid to flag down a sales rep and say«I want to give you money in exchange for furniture! Please help me!» We went in every furniture shop we could find in the area, and this one turned out to have exactly what we were looking for for prices we felt extremely grateful to find. The furniture is sturdy and functions well. We’ll definitely go back in hopes of finding dining room furniture!

I’ve had a variety of experiences with this place. On the whole however, I continue to shop here. Our first trip was when we first moved here, it was hard to miss so we stopped in. Bought a bed, a dresser and a couch. All were decently priced, and on the mid range of quality. Our last two trips however have been quite different. We were looking for a memory foam mattress, we were greeted and helped, we able to try the different models and then ended up purchasing the same day, I was very pleased. Last weekend my wife went looking for a new couch. She was greeted and helped my Micah whom I later met the next day. He was great, helping us find exactly what we needed and wanted while giving honest opinions. He even helped us find some deals that allowed us to purchase a kitchen table and come in under budget. The furniture was delivered on time and quickly. Though the place can be daunting, keep an open mind and look around and I bet you will find what you are looking for.

This might as well be a self service store. I have yet to get help here. There are more than enough sales people but they NEVER help you. If you are lucky enough to have a clerk acknowledge you, they are zilch help. We’ve actually told a salesman what we were looking for in a sofa, he pointed to where we should go and told us «let me know if you need anything.» Really? We bought 2 bonded leather chairs a month ago and they are already showing why they where so cheap. There must be cardboard used in the construction, as the arms are already sinking on the tops.

Hate the zigzagging you do to checkout and get your little beezer buzzer thing. Sometimes the sales are great(just scored a desk for $ 50 off the regular price of $ 199) and others are ridiculous to even call a sale (one time I saw a chair marked down $ 3 from the regular price – woohoo) Some furniture is pretty decent in quality, other stuff is just questionable.
