I started going to Oksana a few years back and loved the skin care I received. However, my hair was a different story. I dreaded going each time bc I always felt rushed. The stylists hurt my scalp and were rough at times when washing or drying my hair. The last time I went, I asked for an ombré. They completely had no idea how to do it and put highlights in instead(this is when ombré style first became popular). I complained and went back for a second try and the stylist dyed all of my hAir except the roots, way up high, unlike an ombré where highlights are gradual and blended at the bottom. I left w dark brown bangs and roots and orange/blondeish hair on the bottom. Disaster! I wasn’t charged thankfully, but again I was rushed. I will never return!!! I loved the skin care though. Pedicures were just ok. Hair is bad!

I made an appointment through their website. It was fairly easy, and you earn 1,000 points for using their online services. Yes, score! Every 1,000 points you earn you a get a $ 1 discount for future services. You get to choose 3 days/times that would work for you and receive an e-mail a few days later requiring your confirmation. FYI, their mobile website does not work for scheduling appointments. I love the Longmeadow Shops, it’s close to home and there is always mad parking. I arrived a few minutes early, but maybe I should have gotten there a few minutes before, there is paperwork that needs to be filled for all new customers. I was immediately greeted and was sent to the back to put my smock on. There is a little sitting area in front with coffee, teas, candy and mints for the guest as they wait. Zhanna was my hair dresser. Each hair cut comes with a wash, if you didn’t notice it on their price list. There are three different levels of cut. She did an excellent job washing my hair; she was thorough and didn’t get water all over my face, unlike the last place I was at. She took her time cutting my hair and ensured that it was evenly cut. She used a razor at the end of my hair when she was completed with her incisions, which was a new thing for me. I guess it makes thick hair appear to have a softer cut vice blunt cuts at the end. Once she was done, she blew dry my hair and straighten it at the end. I was pretty amazed with the location of the hair dryer, it was installed into their ceiling, pretty cool. My hair was super straight when she was done, I was amazed! I have really thick and wavy hair, FYI. The total for all this was $ 55. Pretty reasonable! The salon was beautifully set up. I felt at ease once I stepped in and realized immediately that I was going to really like it here. The service was exceptional and the salon was immaculate. I saw the girls in the shop constantly working on something if they weren’t attending to a customer, whether it was decorating or cleaning. I was exceptionally pleased with my hair cut and decided to book my next one as well as a cut for my three year-old. I told my husband about the place, and he is going to check it out also. I will have to come back here to check out the rest of their spa services! You get points for pre-booking, referring, trying a new department, as well as checking-in(FB only, not Unilocal yet). But maybe they will start to do it on Unilocal too… Hint, hint. If you’re looking for a salon, stop by and check this out! My husband said that a modern touch with comforting earth tones that make the salon feel welcoming. True that! I ended up making appointments for my husband and son, as you can see, it turned out fantastic! This is it! We’ve been in search of a place like this!

I have been going there for over a year. They do an excellent job in my haircut and haircolor. The problem is that I have book twice an Olez treatment and they call me the same day to cancel. They told me the first time that they were going to call me back. I end up calling them few days later and they reschedule me 2 weeks later. Then they cancel it again and I did not wanted to reschedule again been afraid that it would be cancel again. Good for haircut and haircolor, nice service while there, horrible for rescheduling long treatments and for cancellations.

Find another place! I’m new in town and booked a cut and color. The color, cut, staff and atmosphere were all ok, certainly nothing special. But I walked out, got in the car a noticed my t-shirt was covered in hair dye! I’ve been getting my hair colored for nearly twenty years. I’m a military wife, so I’ve been to salons all over the country and overseas. I’ve never had this happen. Went back in, told the receptionist. She’s was not apologetic, seemed more irritated than anything. She had me wait while she went over and spoke with a woman. When she came back she told me that she had spoke with Oksana and that they are not responsible for damaged clothing and I should have changed my clothes and worn an extra smock! I explained that I’d never been to the salon, no changing room was offered, no extra smock was offered and I’ve never ever had this happen before. The receptionist basically shrugged her shoulders! They let a new customer walk out the door! No offer of a discount, refund, coupon for my next appointment, nothing! I called back promptly because I had a mani/pedi booked in a few days. Identified myself as «the client with the dye on her shirt» and requested my appointment be canceled and my new client information sheet be destroyed. And she said, «ok»! This salon is rude, snotty and doesn’t give a crap!
