After a bad experience with the Subaru service across the street ran into these guys. Best thing ever. Car work performed properly and in a timely fashion. Forget the Subaru dealer will only take car here from now on.

The 4 stars are earned on the count of service advisor Chris, which is very competent and has the right atitude. Great prices and quick service even when they’re are super busy. The owners remind me of a grumpy version the Car Talk brothers always grumpy and never greet customers.

I found out I needed an inspection via the ticket on my dashboard after work one night. The mechanics at TM&T agreed to the job even though it was about 40 minutes until close. They were waiting for us with an open garage spot when we pulled in, and we’re quick and courteous throughout the visit. I think I have found my new go-​to shop!

Years later and these guys are still my favorite! Supremely efficient, honest, excellent, and personable service! I travel all the way from Long Island to visit them for any car needs and it has always proven to be worth it. I still wholeheartedly recommend!

Finding this place thru Unilocal I decided to go here to get a tire alignment. After about three hours I come back to find my car parked bumper to bumper with another a car. My back bumper was literally touching the front bumper of the other vehicle. Being in a rush I didn’t think anything of it at the time. Once I got home did I discover from closer inspection various scratches and chipped paint on the the lower part of my bumper that wasn’t there before. Their service might be ok but if they don’t take care of there customers vehicles that’s a deal breaker for me which is why I gave it one star. This will be my first and last time doing business here!

Usually any mechanic I go to I always feel like I am getting ripped off. However, this place had a different vibe. Very friendly folks at the front desk. I just needed my front tire balanced and tire pressure sensor replace that another mechanic had messed up. Job was done within an hour and the price was decent too. I plan to go back to get all my tires replaced here. Hopefully they live up to the par.

We hadn’t taken our SUV out of the garage in about two months, and apparently the battery died. We had it re-​charged, and drove into Queens from Manhattan to visit a museum and a later dinner.
Along the way we realized the inspection had lapsed, and I looked on Unilocal to see if there was a place nearby that would take a Saturday «walk-​in.» The SUV is a 2012, with only 13K miles, so I wasn’t really worried about it passing.
I called two places, none of which could/​would take us at 2p on a weekend. TM&T was literally ½ mile away, and when I called the girl who answered said «sure, bring it in,» so we did.
I was a bit concerned when we pulled up. There were a lot of cars there, and the place was buzzing like a bee hive. I was sure they wouldn’t be able to help us. I got out of the car, and Tommy, who I later determined was one of the owners, asked what I needed. I told him, and he said «yeah…just pull it right up when I move this white car.» Two minutes later we were in position, and one of the younger guys was driving our SUV into a bay.
My wife and I walked out of the hot sun into the shop, right back into 1950. It was very nostalgic, with lots of old pictures on the wall, and tires and parts spread about. This is a «working shop»…every employee there was helping someone get their vehicle repaired and back on the road… and it reminded me what a «garage» used to be like when I was a kid, before computers and diagnostics.
We had fun looking at all the old photos, spying what was certainly Tommy as a young man, as well as his father and likely his uncle and brothers, going back seven decades! There was a lot of pride in this family and this business, and we could tell why the place was so busy. It’s a «neighborhood joint,» and everybody knew everybody.
Ten minutes after taking our car, Tommy walked inside. He explained that the car passed the safety inspection, but failed the emission inspection. He asked if the battery had recently died… which of course it had… and that the car needed to be driven about 60 miles before the computer would reset. Then, and only then, could the emission inspection be successfully completed. Tommy said he’d be open until 4:30p; we could put the mileage on the car and bring it back later that day or the following week, and there would be no additional charge.
I really didn’t want to wait until the following week, so we decided to just get it done. We took the car east towards Long Island, circled down to Brooklyn, back north towards Queens, and out east again. After a few of these circuitous trips, we came back to see Tommy. It was 4:15p (there was quite a bit of traffic!) and Tommy asked «did you get the mileage?» We had… and we were happy to be back from our journey…
Tommy got on the intercom and called one of his guys inside. «Check out this SUV for an emissions.» Five minutes later we were on our way, a fresh new valid sticker on our windshield!
Tommy and his team were honest and straight forward. It was clear all the «regulars» come there, and we felt comfortable and satisfied that we’d been taken care of quickly and fairly. The total charge was $ 37, but we were treated as if it was a high-​dollar job. I wish all my automotive experiences were as easy and fulfilling as my trip to TM&T.

The BEST and most HONEST service station I have ever been to! My 2006 Galant needed a new catalytic convertor and some other parts. The job would be over $ 1300. Instead of going ahead and doing the job, one of the owners, Tommy, looked up that there was a recall on that and Mitsubishi ended up doing everything for free. Where do you find that these days???

Great service! I went in at first to plug a tire. While there I was informed my tires were in bad condition and I should consider getting new tires. Andrew was great! He provided me with a price for two different tires. I waited a week and within the week a second tire of mine popped. I called in and Andrew was very helpful. I went in for new tires at 8:30 am and my car was done within two hours! Affordable and quick service.

Went to TMT for an inspection, Andre had his senior mechanic look at the car and found a ruptured upper control arm bushing on the drivers side at which time he quoted me a very reasonable price on parts and
car was repaired perfectly in under 2 hours and now drives like new with the wheel alignment-Parts.labor and NYS Inspection-​total cost 258.00– Honesty second to none — The only place to bring your car for service in Queens.

I needed a new pair of front tires ASAP and this shop delivered. Great service, great price. These folks are professionals, especially Chris. Come here for your tire needs, you won’t be disappointed.

This is a great place. I got four new tires on a Saturday within a reasonable amount of time. The price was excellent! The attendant Catherine was friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend this place for any friend for a purchase of new tires!

I went here to get 4 winter tires mounted in the evening. The man behind the counter initially quoted me $ 100, but when he realized the time (20 minutes before closing), he asked me if I could come back in the morning and he’s charge me $ 80. He said it was late and he wouldn’t want his guys to rush the job and do it right. I can appreciate this. I went back the next morning and got my tires mounted. It took about an hour (slightly longer than felt it should have taken), hence the 1 star deduction. But I would go back. Honest and integrity in one’s work goes a long way.

The guys at TM&T are trustworthy and knowledgeable. Just before the biggest storm of the year, they were able to accommodate me by installing four new tires on my SUV. Other tire shops didn’t even have one model of the particular tire size I needed, whereas TM&T stocked several.
Before making my purchase, I did due diligence on the best performing models and the lowest prices on each. I was pleased when Andrew recommended a Consumer Reports top performing tire at a great price. Their quote was better than all the other options I looked into.
TM&T would deserve a great review based alone on their service and knowledge, but when combined with great prices, it’s a no brainer: go here.

i had a Chrysler sebring a couple of years ago and always brought it here for repairs. always gave me a fair price and they were very friendly. Now i am bringing my new car here too. I love that this is a family business and that they have been around forever as you can see in the pics on the walls. i highly recommend it!

I’ve been coming here for years. Not just for tires but for car repairs in general. Family owned business. Rare in this day and age. Also rare is their honesty. Everytime I go in, they lay out my options. «If you want to go all out, we can do this, but you only have to do this». I’ve had them stop me from doing repairs over the years because it wasn’t necessary at the time. Always my first choice when it comes to auto repairs. You always want to go as early as possible to avoid wait times. They get busy.

Very bad service and very expensive !!
I changed my car air conditioner (the compressor for $ 750 !! And didn’t work at all, and when want back the check what’s the problem so they did and they told me I have to pay $ 75 for checking the Ac !! After negotiation I payed $ 50 for nothing and I was under warranty… And they don’t care about the warranty they tell me if I want to fix it again I have to pay! So I don’t have an other solution just I’m will sue them ! Don’t trust This company is scam, believe me you can fix you Ac with more less many, don’t take a risk, anybody want prove for what I’m saying just tell me and I will post you the documents.

All we wanted to do is eat Phở, but pothole in highway had different plans. Caught a flat and had to leave the car overnight.
Called TMNT and they had the tire in stock and they worked with us to provide options.
We however, had to drive there to change the tire. Not only did they drive us there, they changed the tire for us.
Excellent service, accommodating and friendly.

I hate hate hate this winter! Is there anything worse than being stuck where u parked cause of ice from this wretched winter? Yep! Hitting a pothole on the LIE and busting a tire when you’re already using your donut from another pothole the day before. Potholes everywhere! Ughhhh…
Incident happened at roughly around 9pm. Called my Honda Care for assistance and was given a tow truck’s ETA of 2 hours after. Ah what now?! 2 hours in the car waiting for a tow truck off of LIE? Great!
Turns out I would still have to leave my poor baby out in the cold in a desolated area since even with a tow truck, tire shops are closed. :(
After calling almost all the tire shops in the area the following morning, we found TM&T. Woman (Catherine) on the phone was very helpful. So we head out with my busted wheel. They changed it into the new tire I bought quick and even sent one of their guys (William. Also very helpful and friendly) with us (using their van) to change the tire for us for no extra charge.
Excellent service. Catherine at the front and Andrew, one of the owners, were super helpful.
I had no doubt in my mind if I should change all three remaining tires to new ones same day by them.
A definite Y-​E-​S for these people!
