Remember Back To The Future? This place is a time machine to the 1950’s. A world of good manners, good music and above all great Pizza. Pizza was so fresh and delicious. Snookie is a great host. What more can I say. It’s the 1950’s, leave your cell phones at home and travel to a happy place called Nunzios.

We eat at Nunzio’s every Friday night because the food and people are excellent. We love the Eggplant Parmesan, Cavatelli(gavadeal) with broccoli, and the pizza although everything we’ve eaten there has been great. Red sauce is amazing as well… We also like the fact that it is BYOB. Best Italian food in Long Branch, hands down!

Re-discovering Nunzio’s! My family has enjoyed Nunzio’s delicious, thin crusted pizza for over ten years, but we never tried the entrees… until now. Wow! What have we been missing out on all these years! We love Italian food and have traveled to Little Italy and Brooklyn in search of a good Italian restaurant without knowing about the great down home cooking at Nunzio’s right under our noses. The menu is traditional, no exotic ingredients or fancy recipes, but the freshness of the ingredients and the mouth watering favors of these dishes rival those of the upscale, more expensive restaurants we’ve frequented. So far we’ve tried and loved the chicken parmigiana, chicken francaise, veal parm, rigatoni with broccoli rabe and sausage, hot mussels, antipasto salad. The eggplant rollatini has a light, mousse– like ricotta cheese that is honestly the best I’ve tasted. The Snookie salad is refreshing and bursting with flavor. And speaking of Snookie, she has a special way of making you feel welcomed and comfortable through her humor, spunk and genuinely caring personality. The entire staff is very nice and attentive. This restaurant is worth a try!

Great mussels, white pizza, and chopped salad. Service great, too. Byob no charge. When we got there we were surprised how many tables were 10 – 15 people. Did not try any other dishes. Too full for desert.

Surprised not to see more reviews. Good luck finding a better thin crust traditional cheese pizza in this area — they hit a home run on all three elements: crust, sauce, and very smooth and perfect cheese. Italian salad dressing is solid and everything about the place is great. Took home multiple pizzas with various toppings back-to-back nights last week and everyone was happy.

Pizza was just ok /good. Once the warmth leaves the pizza it will get close to a cracker — so quite thin. Seems high quality ingredients, i just went based on other reviews being so high and was expecting amazing pizza. I probably wouldn’t go back for pizza again for a while — and maybe try again in a while. Maybe i’d try pasta or a sandwich. The owner’s family there seemed very very nice, so i was pleased to give them business. Inside tables are very basic, so don’t expect fancy. I’d recommend you give a try for yourself.

For my first Unilocal review, I’m happy to choose Nunzios. This is by far my favorite pizza. They have the perfect cheese/sauce/crust/topping ratio. It’s the perfect thin crust, not overly thin like some crusts that taste like a cracker. It has old school charm, thanks to the original Snookie, one of the owners. Tonight was a rainy Sunday but they were hopping.

I’d love to love this place, but nostalgia wasn’t enough to win my heart. I haven’t been here since I was a kid, which is decades ago, and long enough for them to get the recipes right. I kept thinking of «Restaurant Impossible» when I ate the veal parmigiana. It was grey, mushy, flavorless and way overpriced at $ 18 — possibly microwaved even. Robert Irvine would’ve spit it out. A couple of other dishes were better, though not great, but when you blow a classic like veal parm, the relationship is over for me. I’m sure the pizza is still great, as everyone says, but I’m moving on.

Best pizza on the Jersey Shore. Baked ziti is a tempting alternative to the pizza. Great folks running the place make it that much better.

BYOB and great thin crust pizza. Crust was cooked perfectly. Served piping hot. Sausage and pepper special was nicely done and well priced. One of the better pizza places.

It’s simple, you bring a bottle of wine or beer, order and antipasti salad and eagerly await your thin crust dream pie to appear. Perfect crust, perfect amount of toppings for the crust to support, piping hot. It isn’t fancy but a better pie i have never had!

I really like the pizza, but put it somewhere in the middle of the pack in comparison to some of the best pizza’s I’ve had. If you grew up on the Jersey Shore and you’re used to eating pizza on think crispy crust which sometimes resembles that of a saltine cracker, you’ll love it. The sausage and peppers special is great and rates as 4 star pizza. A good place to have close by, but not a place I’d drive more than 30 minutes to just to have some pizza. The prices here are great. 3.5 is more like it.

My girlfriend’s favorite pizzeria, my expectations were high. But Nunzio’s lives up to the legend. First off, you bring your own beverage. Second, «call ahead». If you walk in there with a big group they will say«did you call ahead» If you say no then they will say to each other«they didn’t call ahead» Then they spring into action to figure out how to accommodate you even though you didn’t «call ahead». It’s OK but you really should«call ahead». We had sausage, peppers and mushrooms on our wonderful pie. Great crust. Fresh wonderful toppings and just the right amount of sauce makes the Nunzio pizza. Service was great. Our server was a very nice lady who forgave us immediately for not«calling ahead. You really save some money when you bring your own beer and wine. Great pizza at the Jersey shore. A marvelous experience at Nunzio’s.

I love this place. I’ve been coming here for as long as I can remember. So long that I almost feel weird writing about it online. Like most of the places I go to, I love it’s no frills and simplicity. Don’t come here with any expectations just because I gave it 5 stars. I gave it 5 stars because it is exactly what I want whenever I come here. I’m always here after a long day at the beach whenever I go out to the jersey shore with some friends/family. As with most places like this the best things to order are the simplest ones to make. I always get a large cheese pizza(very good thin crust) and maybe some calimari appetizer. Wash that all down with some root beer. Hits the spot everytime.
