We ordered 2XL pizzas and an order of garlic bread. The food was OK. Their XL pizzas are the same size as a large pizza from other places we have been to. The only reason we had enough food for the 6 of us is because 1 person didn’t like it and nobody was crazy about it so they didn’t take any extra slices. It was over $ 40 for 1LARGE cheese pizza, 1LARGE pepperoni pizza and an order of garlic knots. I think I’ll pass next time.

Very good pizza. Thin crust, good sauce and right amount of cheese. Delivery or pickup takes some time Fri and Sat nights, but it’s very busy and that is always a good sign.

I went there today with my boyfriend and his aunt. We were one of maybe three tables that were seated around 4:30pm. The waitress that helped us was so extremely rude — for example she huffed and puffed when we asked for bread and then when she placed our three salads down and we said«thank you» she just walked away and rolled her eyes. I get it people have bad days but for the amount of food we ordered(app, soup, salads, and three entrees) she could have been kind to us. Her tip reflected her lack of personal skills to say the least. Three stars because the quality of the food wasn’t bad — Cream of Broccoli soup was delicious and so was the antipasto app we shared.

My father is from Long Branch. Whenever we would visit, we always had to have pizza at Freddies. My father passed almost a year ago… we were back in LB last month and knew we had to make a stop at Freddies. Still the best pizza!

I just ordered my very first regular pie and what I got was a dried up, tasteless, and burnt pizza.

My wife and I got take out last Friday night, large pizza, fried calamari and a Freddie’s salad .The pizza was great but calamari was not home made. The meal was a bit pricey .But the thin crust pizza was excellent, and I was greeted with a friendly smile and good service.

Freddies has been our favorite for years. It’s consistent, and delicious. Great sauce. It’s known for its thin crust which is always just right. If you’re a pepperoni lover, you might just think it’s the best you’ve ever had.

This was spot on, but up until maybe 8 – 12 months ago they increased prices, got rid of «personal pies» and things went downhill. It’s more of a risk when ordering from them. It’s either ok(was fantastic at one point) or not good(won’t say terrible). You’ll get the locals who have been going there since they opened & swear its great(mind you, these people are in there 80’s & wouldn’t know the difference between mozzarella or cheddar). Its a shame.

Freddie’s remains on my short list of ‘go to’ pizzerias here at the Northshore(RedBank through Squan).

The best pizza on the Jersey Shore. A must for thin-crust lovers. The prices are beyond fair, its BYOB, a sprawling menu and everything seems to be home made. Friendly hard working staff too. They even serve soft drinks in big plastic mugs. Everything they put out from the kitchen, from the meatballs to the salads(Freddies Salad is the standard) is excellent. Only qualm is that your order sometimes comes out in different ‘phases’ from the kitchen. So try to request you want«x to come before y» when ordering.

Excellent pizzas… We had a broccoli rabe & sausage pizza … Done just right! Friendly service, small town feel. Jersey hospitality and BYOB!

Best pizza, even better than Pete and Eldas. Perfect thin crust. Garlic wings are great! The mussels marinara is soooo good!

it was such bad service and experience… the pizza was not the same. the Freddie’s salad was JUSTLETTUCE!!! Seriously I… actually most of us have never experienced that. our waitress. she was horrible! She has always been. she is so rude and never comes and checks on us. we had to actually ask for water and straws oh sorry Kim had to actually go and get straws… the fact that a table actually walked out tonight says it all! What a shame… so disappointing! I dont even think it deserves 1 star… such a shame bc we really like this place… sorry Freddie’s think its time to go!

This place has quite possibly the best pizza in monmouth county! I love a nice thin crust pizza. With a fair amount of cheese. Sauce that taste fresh– not too sweet or acidic. Not to mention LOADED with meats! So of course I ordered a large meat lovers! This of course comes after a dear friend introduced me to the pepperoni pizza! So back to my meat lovers pizza experience! The staff made my pick up experience even better. I am new to the area and didn’t know that parking and pick up was in the back of the building. But they accommodated me anyway. When I did sit down to eat my pizza it was absolutely divine and was built perfectly. I don’t think I will order pizza from anywhere else again!

Great pizza, great salad… but… No common sense, ordered an extra large pizza with half meatball and half eggplant. When bill came the charged an extra $ 2.50 for a topping. I asked the waitress if it’s gals and half why are we being charged for 2WHOLE toppings, she said«that’s what. we do», I really didn’t feel like giving her an arithmetic lesson. It just wasn’t right… oh well.

Quite possibly the best pizza I’ve ever had. I was raised on Freddie’s Pizza when I lived in Long Branch. Top notch, great food, great service, great everything.

I really enjoyed Freddies’ pizza, which was thin-crusted and delicious. Don’t go if you’re in a rush, as there was only one person serving and cooking during lunchtime which made for a bit of slow service, but the pizza, retro-music and homey-environment made up for this. Overall, a casual, laid-back restaurant with a cozy feel. Good for a family eat-out or generally hanging out with a group of friends.

So, I joined Unilocal for the specific purpose of writing this review. My dad was a loyal — diehard? — Freddie’s customer for more than 60 years. Whenever we’d drive through central New Jersey, a detour was made to go to Freddie’s, at either their Long Branch branch or their(now-closed) Asbury Park branch. Last summer, we drove up from Maryland just so my dad could buy six pizzas to take home, freeze, and eat later. My dad passed away recently, and we arranged through the owner of Freddie’s to have several half-cooked pies shipped down for his service. The owner was incredibly helpful with making these arrangements. I don’t eat pizza myself, but everyone else in my family does, and insists that Freddie’s makes a tremendous thin-crust pizza. More so than their food, though, I’m writing this review for their customer service; they went out of their way to make my father’s service special.
