So I’m looking for a decent tart for my wife’s 40th birthday shindig and find this little place on Unilocal. It seems like a big risk to order from a boutique store that doesn’t have an actual storefront, but I like to support local artisans, so I do a little research and drive down to the Marina Farmers’ Market last Wednesday and buy a sample, because that’s the only place I know of to try them. Every second and every penny used in this mini adventure are completely rewarded when I taste my scrumptious purchase. I immediately place an order for the party. End result? The party was excellent, but it wasn’t until I brought out the tarts that people decided it was the Best. Party. Ever. No jokes here, people. 50 people came, and I didn’t hear a single word of praise until the tart supply started diminishing. I knew all along that it was a good party and that everyone was having a good time, but if I had put out a Costco cake, nobody would remember the evening as anything better than«nice.» But because I brought out these fantastic morsels of heaven in a mini crust, this party is going down in the history books, and I am a party legend. Thanks, Little Tart Bakery.

These tarts are are my sons favorite«birthday cake»! He has requested them for 3 years now. Great alternative to having to cut & serve sugary cake. We will keep up the tradition. Love the crusts and the lemon & chocolate fillings are fabulous. Maria is great to work with too.

I used The Little Tart Bakery recently for a memorial service. The service provided by Maria was exceptional. The process from menu planning through to the onsite set up and delivery was very professional and every detail was attended to by Maria. Her tarts and all other items served were delicious and made the gathering special for my family. Thank you Maria.

I have now tried just about everything The Little Tart Bakery makes and have been very happy with all of their items. I have ordered both sweet and savory tarts for various occasions in my home or to take to other events. Everyone has loved them. They are very easy to work with for the delivery of the tarts. This last Sunday I went to the Farmer’s Market and bought some of the chicken pot pies and they are delicious as well. If you haven’t tried The Little Tart Bakery I think you should, whether entertaining or strictly for your own family!

While strolling along the Farmer’s Market in Long Beach, I stumbled upon The Little Tart booth. Ordered myself a yummy fruit tart that did not dissapoint… so fresh, and homemade and not over the top sugary! Not to mention, the gals working the stand were as nice as can be. Coincidentally, I had been working on an event for a work project, so I inquired if they would be up for the job. Lucky for me, they took the gig, and were very open and patient with all my special requests! The end result was fabulous — 400 mini apple pies, individually wrapped with a patriotic ribbon… the perfect send off for employees the day before 4th of July! Such an awesome experience to work with The Little Tart Bakery!

Looking for something different other than cupcakes and maracons? Give these little tarts a try. I had one with a layer of lemon filling topped with whipped cream and a raspberry. It was delightful and yes, tart. The whipped cream was light and not too sweet. The crust was pretty good too. A little berry sauce gushed out after taking that first bite. Mind you, it may not be for everybody. My coworker who tried the same one, wasn’t impressed. If you don’t have dietary restrictions, I don’t recommend you try any of the ones that are gluten-free or vegan. One of the crusts that appears to have rolled oats in it, I’m guessing is the multigrain one. Stay away from it.
