Came back from our last Sugar Plum… I still love them but I was a little disappointed that they have less handmade stuff Ten years ago they were much more strict about stuff like that! . It’s hard to compete when you have to add in your time and labor… :(But they are still worth the trip… they still know how to market better than any other show…) when my daughter and I walked up before our work shift, the customers were wrapped around the building the first day of our last show! It’s only really crowded the first day of the shows for the customers that like to get the best of the first! I had to take away a star for handmade observation but other than that… it’s a great show for the customer… not as good for the artist just mainly due to competion… especially for the jewelry people. Most of our stuff is handmade originals so less competition except for the made in China the middle of the show we had to mark down half of our stuff. Thank goodness I always sell a lot of cards! At least that paid for our hotel!
