This place… I don’t know what makes it, their food or their staff. Awesome, warm, friendly, people. This place served the best food in town that I had. I would recommend this place absolutely!

The Cove is my favorite place to go for girls night or date night with my man. The lunches are top notch. Not only is the food outstanding– the ambiance is perfect. Windows overlooking the fairway and a beautiful toasty fireplace for the winter storms. Sondra and her staff are the best! Attentive and very professional. Overall word for The Cove is WARM and inviting.

I live nearby and had been driving by this place for years and never stopped by. A coastie buddy said it was great, so I decided to give it a shot. Great food, service and pretty good ambiance for a golf course restaurant. I have eaten here 4 – 5 times and it has been consistently good. It is definitely one of the top 5 or 6 places to eat on the Long Beach Peninsula.

This is a great place with awesome waitresses, friendly atmosphere, and fantastic food, that is so fresh you would think they have their own garden.

What a pleasant surprise! We had a great dinner. The prime rib was excellent! I ordered rare prime rib that was actually rare. The dinner came with a colorful assortment of vegetables roasted to perfection. We will return.

Based on previous reviews, we were looking forward to a great meal at the Cove. Things turned south fast when we arrived. We were met at the door to be told that they had a special event. This was in spite of our reservation, made four days prior. A weak apology, and blame to the folks making the reservations. I would have thought some kind of offer to come another night would have been in order.

We showed up for breakfast… And then found out that not only did they not serve breakfast they weren’t even open yet. But after a quick chat with Sandra, the owner, next thing we know we are having a terrific breakfast, enjoying incredible weather and a nice view of the golf course. How do you even describe the level of customer service that is willing to open early and serve something not even on the menu. If You are in the area, you really should stop in and enjoy this place for lunch and dinner or hopefully breakfast in the future :)))

Great food on the peninsula. Don’t let the golf course location fool you, this is where to eat when here. Just wish they were open more often.

The Food was excellent, service was great. We showed up on a Holliday weekend at around 8. They had sold out of some items which is understandable, food was a little pricey but well worth it! We will go back!

We’re from Seattle the land of great restaurants. We know when we visit small towns we are not likely to find something that compares and that’s ok. Boy were we pleasantly surprised with The Cove! AMAZINGAMAZINGAMAZING! The food was off the charts incredible! I would come back to Long Beach just to eat at The Cove. They have a beautiful view of the golf course, great service and the best food! I had the special(Scallops) and my boyfriend had the Duck then we shared the Lemon Berry Mascarpone. We have plans to go to Cannon Beach(1 hour away) in August and I’m already adding The Cove to my restaurant list that weekend. It’s worth the drive! Trust me! Check out the pictures I took.

Last night was our first time visiting the cove. Drinks were good and very reasonably prices($ 4/pint) for draft local craft beer/hard cider. Dinner tasted great, I had the prawn scampi and my goodness it was delicious! Garlic and lemon flavors over a bed of pasta. I only wished that dinner came with a cup of soup or side salad. At $ 20+ per plate I feel like a salad/soup should be offered too.

Drop the Unilocal app, grab the cannoli! The food here is always great! Some of the best cuisine in the SW Washington/North Oregon Coastal area! Our Ahi Tuna was excellent! The elk burger was perfectly cooked. We had awesome $ 2 fish tacos. We ended with a delicious real deal cannoli! If you like real proper cannoli you should get one of these!

It was a pleasant experience with my girlfriend. They had a great live band playing and the food was pretty delicious as well. The minor bad thing I could say was that there was one wine that was overpriced and tasted pretty awful too, however our server took it back and brought another drink instead. Great overall experience and would recommend this place. It’s always packed, so make sure you make reservations.

I took my wife to Long Beach for an overnight getaway because it’s her birthday. Well, the new tradition is that my wife gets to have lobster for dinner on her birthday and we thought that a beach resort town with more than a couple seafood restaurants would have some really good lobster. WRONG! None of the places we tried had lobster so I jumped on Unilocal and searched(Find Lobster Near Long Beach WA) The first place on the list was The Cove at Peninsula Golf course. I picked up my phone and gave them a call and a very energetic sounding man answered. I asked him if they served lobster and his reply was yes. I then asked about the dress code and if I should make a reservation and he replied yes to that as well. He transferred me to the restaurant and I made a reservation. This all led me to think that this was going to be an amazing place if you have to have a reservation to get a seat. We got there around 20 minutes early and the hostess sat us right away. The only table left in the dining room so I guess it had to be ours because she didn’t even look up our reservation. Anyhow, from that point on, things went south. When the hostess sat us, she didn’t provide us with menus and so we sat. We sat there and watched the waitress and the hostess walk by our table multiple times without acknowledging that we even existed. I joked that maybe we couldn’t get service until our actual reservation time of 7:00. Eventually around 20 minutes or so, some water and menus were brought out to us. The hostess was also our waitress and she started to tell us about the specials and how they were out of the salmon etc… and by now, my wife and I had both noticed that there was no lobster on the menu so I asked our server. I said that I had called the establishment prior to making the reservation and that I had specifically asked if they served lobster. I told her that I was assured that yes they did but she informed us that over the last 4 years that she has been working there, there has not been one night where lobster was served. She was very concerned with our problem and apologized. She even gave me my beer on the house and said that she would understand if we decided not to stay. We thought it over and decided to stick around so we got busy reading our menus to see what we would have. To start, we shared their Caesar salad witch was very good and we also had the deep fried artichoke appetizer that comes with fried shoestring sweet potato fries and a delicious creole mayo. For our main course, we both ordered the Hole in One burger. Pressed ground chuck and thick cut pepper bacon, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and red onion with roasted garlic mayo on a butter brioche bun. Served with a pickle wedge and crispy french fries. These were delicious. Cooked to order and just like we asked for them. Then, because it was my wife’s birthday, they gave her a complimentary dessert. A molten chocolate cake at that. We left satisfied and I would recommend The Cove as a nice place for good food.

Its harder than it should be to get good food on the Peninsula. As part time residents, we feel this lack keenly. The Cove not only serves great food with more imagination than most of the restaurants here but they are willing to provide vegetarian and other options. We had seared ahi tuna, Caesar salad, and fish and chips. All were well prepared and portions were dinner sized. The sriracha(?) element in the cole slaw was tasty and unexpected. They have a good selection of wine and beer and a small bar area. The place was empty when we were there and it does need better signage to see it from the road. Do not fear the emptiness… they haven’t been appreciated yet but are working hard to provide decent food. A great dining experience and recommended. We are looking forward to trying them for lunch.

Familiar food with the volume turned WAY up, The Cove was an excellent choice for dinner. I didn’t expect such great tasting gourmet food in Long Beach proper. The three of us had Prime Rib, Halibut topped with Dungeness, and Duck. The Prime Rib was the best ever; they sear each side of the meat giving it fantastic flavor. I was also happy to see that this prevents the watery/bloody mess that runs everywhere typical of Prime Rib. It was almost like a steak and you get the best of both worlds. I also tried the Duck Breast and it was just awesome. The skin was perfectly papery crisp and the meat had perfect texture. The vegetables the accompanied both the Duck and Prime Rib were just perfect for my taste. They were substantial and on the firm side, which goes so well with tender meat. Awesome service to boot, we will be sure to come back in a month when I’m here over Christmas.

Great food! Hadn’t been here before so we were pleasantly surprised. I feel like their sign is so small but the large ‘dinner’ flag is helpful. Without Unilocal,I don’t think we would have stopped by. I had the burger– cooked perfectly. No complaints. Also ordered was the ling cod special with wild rice and vegetables with a mushroom sauce(didn’t love the sauce). This dish was also cooked to perfection. Fish was TASTY! We were very happy with our food. Service was pretty good. It wasn’t busy and it took a while to get a menu. The lady warmed up when we were paying.
