The best place for breakfast! Employees are all very nice and friendly and food is delicious!!! Boyfriend always gets the breakfast burrito and I went for the chocolate chip pancakes with potatoes so yummy! Very inexpensive and cash only but they do have an ATM machine. Definitely recommend! Come early it can be a little busy but worth the wait!

Had an hour wait, but was worth waiting for. I tried the chocolate maca nut coffee. It was awesome. I ordered potato scramble with sausages $ 9, hubby ordered pancakes with 2 eggs &2 bacon strips for under $ 7. My friebd Stephanie ordered huevos rancheros & added chorizo. The salsa verde(not the one on the table) is SUPER spicy for the average person. My friend Amelia ordered enchiladas breakfast. All dishes were flavorful & cost under $ 10. Waitress was gracious & kept our coffee/sodas filled. Noise level is rather high, but then again it was Sunday around 11 am. You have to search for parking in the near by streets.

Great food! I ordered the Baja breakfast burrito and my fiancé ordered Lyles mashed potato omelete, we were both very happy with our choices. We did have to wait a while to be seated and it’s cash only.

This place is cash only on the other side of Redondo. The prices are great and affordable and I didn’t get charged for coffee(not sure if that was purposeful or not). I ordered the corned beef hash and my boyfriend got Juans special, which is like a Mexican veggie scramble. The side potatoes were standard frozen from a bag and I could taste the cooking grease which was gross. The CBH was standard nothing special and the scramble was a little greasy and bland. I was excited to come here but meh, I’ll stick to potholder instead.

I recently came to the Coffee Cup Café for my brother’s birthday. This place was a hidden gem. It’s clean, has a home type vibe, great customer service, and the food is delicious. My brother and I both had the French toast breakfast. We loved it! The prices are also very reasonable too. If you haven’t gotten a chance to check this place out make sure you stop by.

This is a great neighborhood spot! Awesome friendly service and food that’s bursting with flavor. Not to mention the portion sizes are big and the prices are great. Definitely one of the best values for your dollar. Finally got here for«brunch» the other day.(2 pm on a Sunday). When we got there, the place was bustling. 25 minute wait. Not too bad. Once we sat down the service was great! Everyone we encountered was extremely warm and friendly. The food was amazing. I had Hank’s Chicken Chile Verde(which was recommended by our server) with black beans and potatoes. It was full of flavor and had some kick. From the first bite to the last, I was in spicy breakfast heaven. The boyfriend had Sal’s Enchilada Eggs which he devoured, all while raving about the flavor. We also ordered a red velvet pancake on the side… because yes. It came with mini chocolate chips and whipped cream. It was the perfect«dessert» for our meal. The only thing I didn’t love was the coffee… but I still drank it. And honestly the food was so good the coffee was just an afterthought. We will definitely be back here as soon as possible.

From the food quality to the make-you-feel-at-home service, Coffee Cup has become my all-time favorite breakfast/brunch spot in Long Beach. It is a cash only restaurant and the wait on the weekends can but up to an hour but is worth the wait, in my opinion. My favorite dish to order are the omelettes made for big appetites. The green salsa they serve at every table is also very delicious. I probably use the whole jar with my omelettes at every visit(I like my foods spicey). Come before the 11am rush on the weekend, that’s if you’re not so hungover from the night before. :P

I really liked having breakfast at this place. Their service is great and friendly! I ordered the stuffed cream cheese French toast and really enjoyed it at first and then got way too stuffed. Don’t get me wrong; it was delicious, but too much for me. Next time, I’ll order something different off the menu since they have a lot of options.

This place is awesome! Think Mexican food meets 50s diner. The prices are affordable and the portions are ginormous! I got the Baja Breakfast Burrito with veggie chorizo and potatoes, and OHMYGOSH it was amazing! Great flavor! I love the fact that they are very accommodating of vegetarians and the fact that their vegetarian options don’t taste like cardboard. Also, I have to go out of my way to say that this place has the best customer service I’ve experienced in a very long time. Less than a minute waiting at the door, someone greeted me at my table with a menu and a drink request, food order was taken immediately and food delivered in no time! Everyone works together here, they are absolutely amazing! Every single person was friendly and happy. I’ll definitely be coming back!

2nd visit and we definitely will become regulars! **CASHONLY** Wait time can be very long… but it’s worth the wait. & You can drink a cup of coffee or 2 while you wait. First tried this place late last year after searching around Unilocal for great breakfast spots. We agreed to give this a try and boy are we glad we did!!! They have a different coffee flavor every month, this month was French Vanilla, our first time was chocolate hazelnut, amaze! I had the hanks chicken Chile Verde omelette and hubby had the chorizo burrito. Both came with a side of home potatoes and choice of toast. They can definitely invest in putting some foot railings on their counter areas, because having your feet dangle is no fun. Everything came out piping hot, full of flavor and deliciousness! I can’t wait to go back!

So I’ve dined here a while ago. We were seated fast. It was actually empty and we thought we were gonna have to wait in line but we came as soon as it opened because we wanted to avoid that because other reviews stated it would be crowded, but thank god it wasn’t when we came. The server was okay. He wasn’t one to constantly check up on us. I ordered pancakes which came out cold and my friend got the green chile verde omelet. It honestly wasn’t anything special. We also ordered bacon that sucked! I asked for crunchy bacon and they sent it back and brought it back black. Never would I come here again. I really don’t get the hype of this place.

Love this place! Old school diner style but with lots of unique(and even some healthy) options. There will almost always be a wait on Saturday and Sunday mornings, but that’s the case for most of the good breakfast spots in Long Beach. We waited about 15 – 20 minutes when we came and that was just to sit at the counter. They have tons of omelets, Mexican-inspired breakfasts, French toast, scrambles, etc. I had«David’s Scrambler» which was a TON of food… kind of has a little of everything; bacon, potatoes, avocado, veggies, cheese, etc. My guy had some kind of combo with pancakes and he gobbled it up. Their coffee is top notch… I don’t know what it is, or if it’s anything special, but I drank legit 5 – 6 cups. This is definitely a classic breakfast spot and obviously I’ll be back.

** Cash only ** They have an ATM in the back for a $ 2 withdrawal fee. Very busy restaurant. Ordered the 3 Egg Scramble, 2 French Toast slices, and special Chili Cheese Omelette. Everything was delicious and the portions were huge! I love the Pico Pica red hot sauce with the potatoes and eggs.

Had breakfast here before our 7 day cruise out of Long Beach to Cabo and Puerto Vallarta. As we drove up we noticed a long long of hungry folks waiting outside. We were told it would be a ½ hour wait, so I scribbled our name down on a sheet of paper and the wait was on. We passed time by visiting a neighboring boutique; interestingly, I always seem to find a way to spend money. Lucky for me, this made the time fly by. Our names were called in no time. We were seated in a cozy table for two, albeit, shoulder to shoulder with neighboring tables. Yes, it’s close quarters, but it makes for a chill environment. We ordered massive burritos and omelettes. Everything was pretty good. The food reminded me of the ever popular Beach Break in Oceanside. Best breakfast ever? Umm, no. However, they serve you a ton of food at pocket friendly prices, so, it’s definitely worth the stop if your in town and want a hearty breakfast.

If you’re looking for a great neighborhood breakfast place, check out Coffee Cup. This place is a popular place for breakfast, so be prepared to wait if you don’t get here early. My go to breakfast is 2 eggs over medium with crispy bacon, potatoes and sourdough muffin with a cup of joe. They offer two types of coffee. Regular or a flavored coffee for the day. Service here can be inconsistent. I’ve been here where service is friendly and attentive, and other times it’s not. At least the food is consistent. Too bad the service is not. No off street parking. So you’ll have to be patience and hunt for parking on the street or in the neighborhood.

One of the best breakfast spot here in Long Beach. First of the coffee here is great. For coffee lovers this is very important! If you are the type of person that values the potency of breakfast diners, then you are going to adore this location. They serve all kinds of breakfast favorites along with a twist. Full of bacon, meat and eggs; accommodated with home made fried potatoes and fresh bread. Yummy! I came here and tried their Rajun Cajun and formed and instant attraction. The omelets were overflowing with different toppings and potatoes are flavored to perfection. One of the best things they have is the salsa condiment. Each salsa has a different flavors and ranging form its spiciness; they all go very well with your eggs. They also have great selections of other popular breakfast such as; the French toast, pancakes, burrito’s and many more. The service here is good. They would try to accommodate the crowd as much as possible. The location is pretty average, not too big. This place can be very loud, for some reason, peoples voice carries through the entire room. So talking to the other person might be a bit challenging. The parking can be a little tricky also, meaning you have to succumb through street parking. What do you expect, its Long Beach. Overall I had a wonderful experience, the food here is great and the service is good. The breakfast is very reasonable, definitely worth your bucks. I wouldn’t mind coming back here again.

I don’t see the hype? Came here because we were in the area for the LB sand sculptures festival and we waited for 20 mins to be seated and another 15 mins to get noticed for water and another 15 mins to order our food. We ordered the French toast meal and the honey apple sausage scramble. The French toast was typical. It came with 2 thin sausages and 2 scrambled eggs. The honey apple sausage scramble was cooked unevenly… Burn egg, thin pieces, chunks… All different types of textures. The potatoes were decent, nice and crispy. All typical diner food. Only take cash and they have an ATM in house. I wouldn’t come back, one time thing for me.

It’s been 8 years since I reviewed the Coffee Cup! I suggested this place to a couple of girlfriends after leaving another place that had a 30 minute wait. It was the best decision I’d made in ages. I ordered, wait for it… the Apple Honey Sausage Scramble, a side of cottage cheese, and of course enjoyed a cup of Moka Loka Chocolate Coffee or something while we waited, a-hem, shopped at the boutique next door. We had such sweet, friendly service from everyone who approached our table… that was about 4 people. They still don’t accept cash but at least there’s an ATM in the joint. My friends had remarked how inexpensive their meals were for what they ordered and enjoyed what they ate. It was really great to come back to my hood and have breakfast at noon like old times, and especially to see that this place was still in business. The 5 stars are well deserved!
