I give this place 5 stars because the food is delicious and service was great. Free parking for customers at the same parking lot of the hotel. We got seated right away. I consider getting outside sitting, very nice. Our waiter was chill and was really helpful. I ordered the eggs Noni it was really good but I wish I put some bacon on it. There was too much spinach but it still tasted delicious. My boyfriend orders the chicken and waffle sticks. I really liked his. It tasted so good!!! We ordered some mimosas to make it a good combination lol. Restrooms are one bathroom only but it was clean. Our food and drinks came out really fast. We didn’t have to wait too long for ours. Happy customer worth the drive, I can’t wait to come back again!

Service was beyond on point and the food was even more delicious than I imagined. The gentlemen who served us was attentive and accommodating, he made salsa suggestions from their house salsa and after enjoying our meal trying them all we mutually decided the Jalepeno Pablano Salsa as favorited by our waiter was also a favorite of ours… I enjoyed the outdoor seating with the heaters as well as the breakfast burrito that accompanied me. My boyfriend enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and barely could finish it(which is rare for him). We left much happier and fuller with a definite desire to return, even if we live hundreds of miles away. This is a place I’d go out of the way to enjoy!

One nice Saturday morning, my bf and I wanted to have nice breakfast outside in DTLB, so we found this place on Unilocal. It looked pretty busy, but we were seated right away. I love benedicts and my boyfriend loves omelettes, so we got that, especially after our waiter recommended his favorite choices. The dishes were okay… nothing really special to us. The breakfast here is a little more healthy and classy compared to the local Denny’s, Ihop, and Norms; I like that breakfast style as well but the flavors weren’t great to me. We had mimosas though; $ 6 a glass… a big glass, and strong too! I think they were worth it. Sadly, no bottomless mimosas but the glasses are really that big enough so I think they are good! Overall, great outdoor patio, mimosas, and service! Food is lacking to me… perhaps another time!

Yummy and hipster free. No beards, no hair garlands, and no birkenstocks! Its a nice little joint with hearty and delectable choices, all of which came with an additional twist. For example, I had the beef, pork, and SOYRIZO meatloaf. Mhhmm, thats right, soyrizo! A vegan option and meat, together.(Sorry vegans.) While it sounds mouthwatering and intriguing just by reading it on the menu, it doesn’t deliver. It honestly tastes just like standard chorizo, but shaped like a meatloaf slice with a gelatinous texture. Now, you can’t go wrong with chorizo, so it doesn’t taste bad, it just tastes pretty standard. Moving on, paired with this meaty slice, was an awesome potato pancake that was soft on the inside and toasty on the outside. Man! It was delicious. It was exactly what I needed. I pack of yummy carbs and coffee to wake me up. Whoever cooked this, cooked it perfectly. I highly recommend the potato pancakes. Aside from the good food, the crowd was pretty nice. Everyone was super casual and cool. It was your post-party crowd from Friday night’s beer binge. Many still trying to recover from the PBR hangover. We had an awesome server who was super friendly and professional. He kept the coffee coming! Parking is excellent too, no need to Lyft or Über, just drive or ride your bike there. Its super convenient. So yes, I would recommend this place. The prices are reasonable and the food is hearty delicious.

Built into the Travelodge, the outdoor patio drew Monkey in right away. One of the more charming bright spots in downtown Long Beach. Arrive first in your party and enjoy free coffee, water or hit the bar and chill out in the warm morning sun. Shade and heat lamps are available and plenty of indoor seating as well. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Great service for our party of 10, an impromptu reunion of sorts, on a busy holiday morning. Monkey fasted for the late morning blood draw and this was the long awaited break. Everything delicious. So looking forward to next visit. Monkey do: NAKEDCAKES w/bacon — great whole wheat pancakes(also avail gluten-free buckwheat), thick cut bacon The HUNGOVER –when heavy is needed to hold it down — scrambled eggs w/cheese, sausage over fries, spiced sour cream BREAKIESAMMIE — awesome sandwich i wanted to steal EGGSNONI — nice twist on the benedict BREAKFASTBURRITO — eggs, avocado, beans & chicken apple sausage FREE Coffee or Sangria with Check in

The overall restaurant experience was positive. The food was delicious and had great flavors. The menu seemed to be moderate but not a huge selection(remember this is only for breakfast and brunch). There is indoor and outdoor seating with a nice little«mom ‘n pops» feel to it. The food was hot when it came to our table and every bite was delicious and flavorful. There was one issue when it came to being charged. The waitress charged me our own party’s ticket in addition to two other table tickets. To make a long story short the issue was resolved by the store manager by refunding the excessive charges. Aside from the billing mishap the overall experience was positive. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for an alternative to your run of the mill breakfast locations in Long Beach.

On our last day in Long Beach on 12÷05÷15, my party and I decided to have breakfast at this restaurant. It was a great send-off from our dear old friend, Tony R. Our friend heard rave reviews about the restaurant in some news article or segment on television. It was our friend’s first visit too and a great choice for breakfast. This place is busy, but we did not have to wait too long for us to get a table. Food and service were good. Overall, it was a 4-star experience. To start off my experience, I had a Bloody Mary. It was early, but who cares when you’re on vacation and not driving. It was deliciously loaded with all the fixings of a great drink. I could have enjoyed another, but I didn’t want to be sloshed so early when we had a long day ahead of us. For breakfast, I had the Eggs Noni Benedict. It was absolutely divine! Perfectly poached eggs. Imagine your poached eggs oozing vibrantly as you cut through it, and then you have that one perfect layered bite with the spicy hollandaise. Yumm-O! Are you drooling? The only problem with the dish was the amount of spinach. I love spinach, but my dish was just overloaded with it. Next time, I’ll have to ask for less spinach. Lesson learned. My other half had the Meatloaf Steak and Eggs and rated the dish 4.5 stars. Our friend had the Eggs-N-E-Way, but I didn’t ask him for his input on the dish. Terrible friend am I, huh? Will I return to this place? Absolutely!

We decided to venture downtown this past Sunday to check out something new, and boy, were we happy we did! Upon arriving at 11:00 am, we assumed the wait would be close to an hour(the place was packed). Our wait was only 10 minutes and the service was superb. Everyone working was happy and attentive. They have complimentary coffee(and water) at the host stand outside near the patio, which is a nice surprise. The crowd was diverse and on the younger side(mid-twenties), but there was no Hipster vibe at all. The manager was friendly and very attentive to the customers without being over-bearing. My date ordered the Meatloaf Steak and Eggs and I tried the Eggs N-E Way. Both dishes were very tasty, although the potato pancakes seemed a little under cooked and could have used a little more flavor. Still, really yummy! The drinks were well made — I had a mimosa and my date enjoyed a delicious bloody mary. Our table was in the very back, but service was spot on — I never had to ask for more water(I drink a TON), and the food came out as quickly as we were sat! The space was clean, and I liked the color scheme — especially how the painting that was displayed on the wall next to our table blended well with the kitchen tiles. Over all, we had a great time and will be back for sure — and with Stella(my dog) on the patio! :)

While I was in town I decided to grab breakfast at this place. I get into my über and one of the FIRST things my über driver says is «oh this is a great breakfast spot, you picked a good place to eat this morning.» Okay so we are off to a great start. Yaay! This is a CUTE little breakfast joint. I was promptly greeted outside by the hosts. You have the option of indoor or outdoor seating. I decided to sit at the bar because … After all this is the breakfast BAR. My waitress was really sweet. Knowledgeable about the menu. Service was great. Food was ok. Pros: parking available next store(shared with the motel), food was good, drinks were great, sweet/friendly staff, cool location, very reasonable pricing, wifi Cons: my eggs were cold Would I go back? Yep! I’d go back just because of the service, drinks and location. **Tip: I hear the eggs noni is a must have here. Next time I come back I want to try it. Egg noni:(bread, tomato, spinach, poached eggs with the famous potato pancake on the side. Yum! ***Tip: checking in with Unilocal gets you a sangria or coffee!

I’m always looking for breakfast spots for my mom, since she’s all about morning food. I’ve heard about The Breakfast Bar from numerous people, and we finally decided to check it out. We were able to get parking right across the street, and a table opened up on the patio almost immediately. The servers were very diligent about making sure everyone was comfortable with umbrellas and space heaters. i ordered the Eggs Noni and a naked cake on the side. The eggs were wonderful. I especially enjoyed the spinach, which was quite abundant and flavorful. I could have had bowls of this by itself. I didn’t expect so many greens on my plate, but I was pleasantly surprised. The potato cake was also better than anticipated. Although many people don’t like the naked cake due to its texture, I actually liked it. I mean, it’s whole grains, etc., so I knew it was going to be more grainy than fluffy, and that was okay with me. I would order it again in a heartbeat. My mom had some sort of breakfast sandwich that she also liked. I think next time she wants to try the omelet casserole. Getting boxes to go, so we could pack up our leftovers, was a bit of a strain, but they were busy so I’ll blame it on that.

Y-E-S! Visited for Sunday brunch after hiking in PV, the place was packed around 1pm! But, being just two and willing to sit anywhere, we were sat at the bar in about 10 minutes. Started with a bloody mark and peach Bellini, both amazing. We shared the eggs papi(their version of egg benny) on rosemary toast, sausage, poached egg and a really delicious hollandaise. It hard to imagine hollandaisetasting light, but this one did and it was so great! We also had the appetizer breakfast frittatas. These were just meh, I wouldn’t order them again. The service was efficient and quick, not overly friendly, but they were busy. I enjoyed this place very much!

I love long beach for their array of solid breakfast/brunch spots. I have a hard time giving this place a better rating though because there wasn’t much to rave about and nothing stood above the rest. One way we measure how good a breakfast spot is is through any of their eggs benedict like dishes. I got the eggs papi and although it sounded like a good twist on a classic, it didn’t make the dish any better. So all in all the place is A-OK, hence the 3 star rating. Not a bad spot, but definitely not the best i’ve had in the area!

I was starving after 5hr drive from Vegas and this place popped up after searching for a breakfast joint on Unilocal.Check-in for a free sangria or coffee! Unfortunately I was too tired and completely forgot about using my check-in offer, oops. ATMOSPHERE Parking is shared with a motel next door. You have the choice of indoor or outside patio seating. Weather was nice and cool so we opted for the outside seating. It has this elegant, sophisticated vibe which is perfect for breakfast or brunch. I did peek in the indoor seating and it felt very cramped. Go for the outside patio seating! SERVICE Professional and friendly servers. Knowledgeable of the menu and were helpful in deciding what to get. Amazing service. FOOD My friendly server suggested me to get his favorite, which is their Egg Noni. It is grilled bread with tomato, spinach and poached eggs with potato pancake on the side. Felt like everything was super soggy(not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be). Still enjoyed it. Surprisingly, the highlight of this dish was the potato pancake. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Didn’t need any condiments as it already had enough flavor by itself. Server gave us variety of condiments. Ketchup as well as three different sauce with various spice level. I personally can’t handle any spice so I passed on all of them but nice that they offer different choices for those that enjoy some kick. CONCLUSION I would come back again for the great service alone. Food was good but nothing mind blowing.

No joke, the Breakfast Bar serves some seriously legit brunch and drinks. A group of us were in town for a wedding, and staying close by, so we Unilocaled for brunch and landed at this little gem. We started with the breakfast dip, because who doesn’t like beans, sausage, cheese, avocado, and pico in the morning? From there, an assortment of dishes were ordered, including eggs papi, shrimp and grits, the breakfast burrito, and multiple breakfast sammies. The saddest part was they forgot to make my breakfast sammie, so all my friends got their food and I got to sample everything while they whipped mine up. Service was friendly, and the place definitely has a mom & pop diner type vibe. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for breakfast in the area. Pro tip: checking in on Unilocal got me free sangria. Score!

Cute little mom and pop breakfast joint. Came here for breakfast on Saturday and the wait wasn’t too bad. They have free coffee and water outside while you wait and there is patio seating as well. I got the Eggs Papi: Grilled house rosemary sourdough bread, sausage patty, poached egg, and topped with house Gindo’s spiced hollandaise. Served with potato pancake. They don’t have traditional country potatoes or hashbrowns but instead have potato pancakes which had the consistency of thickened mashed potatoes, patted into a pancake and fried. I LOVE potatoes in practically any form, but even this was a little too heavy for me! I also tried a bit of the Omelet Casserole, which my dad ordered. They apparently make it 24 hours in advanced but it didn’t taste extraordinary. The prices are fair $ 7-$ 11 so it’s good for a decent meal, but I didn’t find it to be anything special. The service and workers here are really friendly though and very attentive.

This is such a cute little café right in the heart of downtown Long Beach. You can eat and people watch in the cozy patio or watch the cooks crank out enticing entrees while indoors. This was my first time eating brunch here with a friend today. I ordered the Sammie sandwich and substituted the apple vegan sausage. Mmmmm… yummmm! The smoky flavor of the sausage was just right. I love sourdough bread and it added the extra ‘umph’ and buttery crunch. The buttery bread and sauce dripped a bit and made the bread feel greasy. The aioli was a bit heavy so I will order it on the side next time. The watermelon lemonade and white sangria are refreshing drinks. Both had the right amount of liquor that tops off any meal and sends you on your way. I will be back.

Not sure how I feel about this place. The wait is long. The food is generally good but, heavy. There is no AC in the restaurant and a bunch of flies flying around. Okay, I guess I won’t be coming back haha. What We Ordered — Hang Over — Uncle Marcee’s Omelet Casserole The Hang Over was super good! Two scrambled eggs with cheese and sausage served over french fries with sausage gravy, pico de gallo and spiced sour cream. No regrets ordering this dish! It could be a meal in itself. The Uncle Marcee’s Omelet Casserole is a total rip off. It was $ 10.50 for just the omlete casserole with a potato cake and fruit. All the pictures on Unilocal had toppings… which costed extra. I ended up adding bacon($ 2.50), mushrooms(0.50) and avocado($ 1.50). That added up to $ 15 for just 1 entrée! Not worth it in my opinion. It was really rich and buttery/oily. Good to try once but, definitely not worth coming back for. Thank you LA Weekly for giving me a bad suggestion for brunch. :(

I came here the other day with the bae and we decided to grab breakfast, which is kind of crazy seeing as how I don’t(usually) get up until 9:30 in the morning. This place is located next to the travelodge, and it’s a cute small restaurant, that has outdoor seating, as well as indoor seating. I got the chicken wings and waffle sticks, while he got the breakfast burrito. My waffle sticks came with 2 different dips. There was a syrup and also a whipped cream like dip. The chicken wings came with a small side of gravy. It was all really good! If you’re in the area I would suggest you check out this place to eat some breakfast! Be sure to check in when you come here! I checked in here, and got a glass of sangria!
