Great Desserts off every sort are found in Sweet Jills. You can find large cupcakes with frosting, including carrot cake, red velvet cake, and sprinkle colored batter cake to name a few. There are gorgeous mounds of cinnamon bread and all types of traditional cookies such as regular coconut and chocolate macroons. I highly recommend this dessert shop. There is ample seating and it is a joy to visit. Please have my favorite the coconut macroons, you won’t be disappointed.

Best cinnamon rolls(if you don’t like things too sweet then get the frosting on the side) and awesome carrot cake! Cash only but worth it! And I’ve been here several times and never had bad service. They even made me an ice cream cake(you bring in your favorite ice cream and they make a roll cake/ice cream log for you).

Mmmm… sweet Jills Best cinnamon buns ever! You can get them with or without nuts and with or without warm icing, which they pour on it when you order it so you can judge how little or how much you want. Just a drizzle will do as this perfectly sweet and moist pastry doesn’t need much to make it taste more delicious! The cake slices are a generous size(enough to share between two people or save some for yourself for later) with fruity flavors like lemon and strawberry to your classics like marble with marble icing, German chocolate cake and of course red velvet! The cookies are huge and chewy but be sure to go early(rather than later… they close at 12am) in the day if you want popular flavors like chocolate chip and oatmeal. The cupcakes are heavenly as well, with a fluffy topping of icing atop a larger than handful size of moistness. Not a cake or cookie lover? Well there’s also deep dish sliced pie, scones, bagels and even decadent brownies! Don’t forget your beverage! They serve up coffee and hot chocolates and milk to add to your pastry or baked good. Sweet Jills is surely the spot to to come to for that late night sweet tooth craving or any time of day craving! Chances are you’ll be craving it as soon as the sweet aroma hits your nose from the street!

We were on our way to dinner when we passed by this bakery. It smelled so good, that we had to stop in. Plus, there was a ton of people outside snacking on the goodies. Inside, there are a variety of different(small) cakes and cookies. We had the demi crispy and snickerdoodle. The snickerdoodle was a bit disappointing. It was hard and powdery. The semi crispy was pretty good. Only thing about this place that can be a bother: CASHONLY. They do have an ATM machine for those who don’t have moola. Plenty of metered parking outside, but it can get busy.

Minus one star for price and being cash only. There are two listings on Unilocal for the same place if you didn’t notice… It was nice to be able to walk it to the beach this morning.

This place makes massive cake portions of all flavors. Absolutely impressive assortment. Come here with a big glass of milk because it takes you back to those simpler days of eating cake at a birthday party until your tummy hurt. Way back before worrying about the calorie count and ruining your hourglass figure. I tried the Chocolate Fudge cupcake, the Upside Down Pineapple cake, and a Chocolate Dipped Biscotti. All three were bigger than what your used to at Frosted and Sprinkles. Extremely moist cake topped with rich buttercream icing. The Pineapple confection was like a puond cake infused with that Pineapple can juice that we all secretly drank after our mom’s took out the rings. I waiting until the following morning to eat my Biscotti with a cup of freshly homemade coffee. Eveything was delicious and filling. A little pricey but that’s what you expect on 2nd Street. Make this the entrée and not the dessert because you need the room.
