I have been to many spas and I can honestly say that the massage I received today from Malee was one of the best massages I have ever had. I used a groupon that entailed a 75 min «pamper yourself» massaged for $ 55. What a steal of a deal! Again, this was amazing. She used a combination of techniques including hot stones. I will definitely be back. My only recommendation is to arrive 30 mins early to ensure you find a parking spot as it gets pretty crowded on 2^nd st.

I came for a couples massage and they did such an amazing job! By far one of the best massages my fiancé and I have ever had! We got the hot stone massage and now I’m leaning knot free. Definitely coming back.

Great facial! I felt so relaxed and Christine was so professional! Only thing I took 1 star off for, was trying to upsell me on a service ($ 50 each) while I’m laying there). The massage, facial, extractions were great. I’ll be returning for sure! Used a groupon and I’m happy i tried something new!

Had the best massage there yesterday! The staff was very welcoming and pleasant as well as prompt. Also, place was very clean and relaxing. I will definitely be back.

I flew into LA and had complained to my sister about the knots and pain I’ve been having in my neck and shoulders. Last minute, we made appointments for 4 people here! They were able to take us all in on a Saturday afternoon last minute!
I haven’t had a Thai massage in years. I remember last time I had one in San Francisco, I was screaming my head off! Luckily, I had Ted as my massage therapist. He was super careful and also was sure to ask me if I was in pain. He was able to deliver a firm massage and let out some of my knots. I was a little shocked when he jumped on top of me and started to use his feet to massage me. He was hanging on to these bars on the ceiling to help keep his balance. He was good! I’d definitely come back to see him.
This place is clean, affordable, and convenient. If I were a local, I would be a regular. The massage was less than $ 70 per person (includes tip). I think that’s a decent price for a clean spa, quiet (unlike the Chinese massage spots), and good massages! I’ll definitely come back here.
My Mom and my sister’s boyfriend also enjoyed their massages, but my sister didn’t have the same pleasant experience as us. She said she felt more stressed out because her masseuse was digging her knees into her. Perhaps it’s because my sister didn’t want her stepping on her back, and instead, the lady was using her knees. I imagine my sister was in more pain. I asked if she’d be back and she said «may be — if I had a different masseuse».

I got a gift certificate from my daughter for Christmas, finally took advantage after a five hour plane ride from the east coast.
I went on a Saturday around noon, made the appointment the day before. My daughter got me a Swedish massage I paid an extra $ 10.00 for deep tissue.
This place doesn’t have AC so the waiting was like an oven, the rooms were a little cooler, have curtains over the entry way instead of doors. The place was clean.
I got Lena, and she was brutal, really worked me over quite well. One of the better deep tissue massages I had for a while. I have a shoulder injury that has let certain muscles grow weaker in that area, Lena gave me more range of motion afterwards then I have had for years.
I only had the one massage and definitely going back for a hot stone one after tonight’s 5 hour red eye from the east coast.

I’ve been here a few times, their hours are convenient and the deal they offer is perfect for me. Ted was my masseuse and I will definitely be asking for him the next time I make an appointment. The staff is super nice and the atmosphere is relaxing. I have and will continue to recommend this place to my friends. I need to try a facial next time!

I’ve heard so much about this place from my clients, but waited forever to go in. Boy am I glad I went! I went for the Thai Yoga massage with Angie and there is nothing like it in the world! I loved every second of it! It worked out a lot of tension and also stretched me out so well! I work out 5 days a week so the yoga part was PERFECT! I’ll be back much more frequently!

When I called to make an appointment, they asked me to be on time (of course, I understand I have to be punctual!) my appointment was at 12. We arrived on time then she told us that we had to wait because I requested for the specific therapist. (I called five days before I went.) alright so we waited until 12:20 finally the front desk lady led us to the room to change. 12:30 the therapist came in. We bought the Groupon for 75 min massage but the session stopped at 1:36. (they have the clock on the wall, we can see it easily)
My therapist was ok, I felt really painful when she was pressing my shoulders. And I didn’t get to have the «Thai stepping on my back» part at all, which I requested on the sheet.
Anyway, I asked the front desk lady why we only got 66 mins not 75. She answered me because I checked in you guys at 12:20pm (which means we paid for the time to change and wait for the therapists)
So just note that they are selling the minutes including the time you change your clothes and wait for the therapist.
I don’t think I will come back.

Very disappointed. First, scheduling was poor. Kept on hold for over 3mins. Then arrive for treatment and therapist no where to be found. I waited for 10 mins. and still no therapist. Offered a male therapist, but I female prefer a female as well. This was my first visit and will be my last. I wish them well. But for me they are not a fit.

Early bird special I had fantastic massage. I’ve never been walked on before it was unreal. My shoulders and neck feel completely different from when I went in. It smells sooo good walking up into their little retreat. I highly recommend it :)

Yesterday I had my first Thai massage ever and it was incredible! I have long been searching for the type of massage that is firm enough to target tight muscles around a lower back injury I had years ago. I’ve tried all sorts of massages and groupon deals but nothing ever felt effective.
On a whim, I decided to try out a Thai massage. I was nervous at first of the idea of someone walking on my back but that quickly turned into relief. Malee was my masseuse and she did a wonderful job. The pressure was just right for me; as soon as I thought the massage was going to get too intense, she would switch to a different movement that remained soothing and therapeutic.
I do yoga twice a week, so I found this Thai massage to be very enjoyable as Malee would stretch me in ways similar to yoga poses.
All in all a great experience that truly relieved tension and relaxed me. Will absolutely return and try other services as well!

Needed to kill some time while I was in Long Beach for the day and this looked like a clean, reasonably priced spot and that was able to accommodate a same day appointment.
I went for the 60 minute Swedish massage ($ 49 special for new customers) and I’d say that the woman put in the effort but just simply was not trained in doing Swedish massages. They offer Thai massage, combo, Wwedish and maybe a few others. but it was clear this was not her specialty. It wasn’t as relaxing as I hoped largely due to her quick, repeated motions vs. slow, soothing, lengthy presses.
Overall was fine, I’d say for the price if it was fabulous it’s be a hidden gem but it was somewhat understandable and just a bit disappointing.

Was really looking forward to a nice 90 minute massage after completing the long beach marathon.
The place it’s self is nice, clean, and very quiet. The massage started off great. I had asked for a firm massage to roll out any knots and sore muscles. Half way through my massage the therapist said she had to go use the restroom and someone else was going to finish off the massage «mm okay» so a second therapist came and it was not good at all. She used the «hot» stones cold and her hands were cold and my body was was already warm from the oils and massage. I was very disappointed that the massage therapist was switched off and was not stastified with my experience.
My sister also received a massage with Tammy and she said hers was great.

Nice and soothing spa place. Very calm and zen as soon as you step on those stairs.
Tiffany was great! Really gave me the massage and the pressure I needed on my back.
She knew exactly where to go and how hard. I was having horrible pain for a few days and then I was referred to Tiffany by another man, so I booked an appointment that day. She walked, she pressed, and rolled out knots that I didn’t even know I had before.
I will definitely be coming back soon.

It was amazing ! Lena went soft, hard, gentle then rock hard again using oil, hot rocks and the tried and true Thai method of massage!
This is a must for anyone in the Belmont Shore, area with

Its a 5 star experience for the money. Don’t expect the Ritz, but it is always very clean, the people working there are very friendly, and I always feel like a million bucks when I float out of the entrance. This review is based on three separate massages.
I went on Saturday and had a Thai massage but asked for additional attention to my legs as I am a runner. She pulled out some cool moves I’ve never experienced and my legs felt amazing that afternoon. I believe my masseuses name is Cathy? I’m a fan.
Well worth a visit at one of the best rates in town.

After my marathon drive back from Mammoth after a weekend of skiing, my shoulders and back were feeling beyond fatigued. I needed a massage, and a long one at that! I did a search for massage in my zip and this place came up very highly rated. After reading some reviews, I was sold! I booked a 90 minute sports massage ($ 95 – very reasonable, I thought) and made my way down to 2^nd St for some much-​needed massage therapy. It was easy to find and parking was plentiful on the street at about 6pm on a weeknight. You walk upstairs to the spa, which was very pleasantly appointed, with all the spa-​like décor and music that one would expect. After filling out the requisite forms I was led down the hall to a private room to disrobe and wait for the masseuse. She was a tiny Thai lady, and while her English was minimal it was perfectly adequate for the massage.
Now, I’ve never gotten a 90 minute massage before, and I think 60 minutes is quite enough for me, lol. It’s pretty intense and toward the end of the session I was feeling quite tenderized. I’m sort of a pressure wimp anyway so while I did want her to dig deep (ish), I can’t say it was a totally relaxing experience – you feel relaxed after. This is just about me, BTW, nothing on the masseuse’s performance at all. I also took advantage of the free heated stones with a Unilocal check-​in, which definitely added to the whole massage experience. Next time I need a full-​body tenderizing in a nice private room I’ll be back!
STEPH JUDGEMENT: Reasonably-​priced full-​service spa with a nice ambience.

My fiancé and I bought 90 minute massage groupons for Dee Dee Thai Spa. We made our appointments on the phone. Our first choice day and time was not available, but our second choice day was pretty open.
The spa is located upstairs above a bakery and some other retail stores and is decorated nicely. The massage rooms are small but private.
My masseuse Mara was excellent. I had a million knots, and she was able to un-​knot 95 percent of them which is pretty impressive. She was also very friendly and we had a good conversation throughout my massage. I didn’t mind all the talking because I don’t need absolute silence to relax but some other people might not feel the same way.
After my massage, Mara asked me if i wanted tea or water. My cup of water was waiting in the front waiting area next to the little tipping envelope. (My fiancé got the tea, and I had a sip and it was tasty).
I would definitely come back to Dee Dee for a hot stone massage and request Mara. The reason for the four stars instead of five stars is because of the length of our massages. I got a full 90 minute massage but my fiancé’s massage started 5+ minutes after mine and ended 5 minutes before mine so it is bummer that he only got an 80 minute massage.
