So Cal Hookahs

Nice view, the hookahs were good. Nothing out of the ordinary, but they did use double foil and the bowl was packed. We had to adjust it and remove one foil otherwise we would have struggled to inhale the hookah. The vibe was an older, mature crowd. No Dj or music the night I went. It’s a nice spot to just chill and catch up with some friends, which was perfect for our double date night.
The BAR– fuego, was separate and we had to order our drinks at the bar, no waiters for drinks or food.

I had sangria, which was delicious and it came in a pitcher.
Overall very nice, perfect venue for a small wedding also.

I made a reservation on their other page and come to find that location is not open any more they moved across the street. Luckily I called and Ash was able to accommodate me even though they were booked. Great place and good drinks

Wanted to grab some hookah while visiting Long Beach and decided to give this place a try. Really cool hookah spot. It’s an operation run by someone out of the Maya Hotel. Hookah is on point. They use Fumari shisha which is really good. And you can get a drink from the bar that belongs to the hotel. Oh, and it’s on the water.

Hookah was really good. You can tell they take pride into cleaning and making the hookahs. The views are amazing at the Reef where we visited so cal hookah. However the reef has horrible food and service.

Best hookah in So Cal with amazing scenic waterfront views of Long Beach. My friends and I have been several times and the customer service is always superb. We love the many delicious hookah flavor options and the staff for always making sure our coals were nice and hot! The fresh cocktails and unique appetizers are great too. Our favorite is the fresh muddled blackberry margarita fishbowl or the refreshing Fuego mojito with muddled blood oranges. Can’t wait to go back again soon and get my smoke on!

My review is way over due. I have been to So Cal Hookahs at Maya Hotel several times now. Last year during summer time I went there for dinner for the first time and noticed Hookahs couches with bonfire, my friends and I decided to give it a try since we never had it before. I am glad we did because at the moment we set down, right away we had Ash approaching us and he explained everything to us with a lot of options to chose from. He offered us many different flavors to chose from which all of them sound very good. We let him surprise us with the flavor and so he did. It didn’t take very long before he came back with the Hookah and explained to us how to use it since we were first timers… We ordered some drinks, set on very comfy couches with bonfire and smoked very flavorful Hookah while watching the waves crashing. I been to many places, but never with ocean view like this. It was very relaxing and a lot of fun. Service was very friendly and prompt and we enjoyed our mint flavor Hookah. Ever since then we made several trips to Long Beach and became regulars since we enjoy our experience every time we go there. I finally decided to create my Unilocal account and share my personal experience.

Was here Friday night with some friends for drinks and decided to try hookahs. The hookahs were awesome and the staff was very helpful. I tried a house mix which was very good (I forgot what it was but they recommended it). I had a great time, with a great view. I will plan on coming back soon.

Nothing to say more than the hookah and the service are worth what you are paying for. Ash is amazing I have been going to maya for yhe past two years because of the hookah and of course the best place in long beach city where they have the best hookah. Even if you come and it’s packed, Ash will still manage to find you the best place where you can smoke your hookah. Trust my choice :)

When we booked Hotel Maya for our wedding reception, the Events Coordinator told us they had a hookah vendor who does weddings. My husband and I were curious and decided that the deck of our ballroom would be the perfect spot for a hookah lounge during the reception. After exchanging a couple emails with Ash (the owner), we were convinced it would be a unique, swanky touch to our wedding and had to book them! So Cal Hookahs ended up being the second vendor we booked for our wedding. Just a couple weeks later, we unexpectedly met Ash at a wedding expo and he recognized us from all the email exchanges. He was awesome — polite, attentive, and knowledgable. We were so excited to have him as part of our wedding! On the big day, he took care of setting up our lounge furniture so that it looked inviting, cool, and fun. While Ash wasn’t able to stay for the whole event (he had to take care of the weekly hookah lounge for the hotel), the staff that he left in charge was very friendly and attentive. Our hookah lounge was a big hit and have So Cal Hookahs to thank!
I’m sorry the people with Living Social deals had such a negative experience because SoCal Hookahs is awesome. We run into Ash every now and then at Hotel Maya’s hookah lounge and he always remembers us. He’s quite busy at those events, but he does his best to check in with us. We’ve purchased hookah sets from him and he lets us pick the music we want to smoke to from time to time. We’ve been very happy with the service we get from So Cal Hookahs, which is why we will be long-​time customers and refer them to friends and family for events every chance we get.

I’m an avid smoker. Therefore I know the difference between an ordinary hookah and a great one. Ash’s hookah are by far my favorite. He always brings the greatest flavors and keeps coming back and checking on my charcoal and whether I’m happy or not with the hookah itself.
He’s also been kind enough to replace my hookah if I wasn’t a fan of the flavor. Ash knows the ins and outs of the hookah experience and I wouldn’t want anyone else taking care of my hookah needs.

Had a really good experience here this last weekend was in town with my boyfriend for a Get away and we decided to use a living social and after reading some of the reviews we smartly made a reservation and had no problems! There was a girl working didn’t catch her nabe but she frequently checked on us very pleasant would probably return!

The best part of smoking a hookah is smoking it on the beach area. I just love this place what else can I ask for great hookah and service !! The staff there are amazingly sweet and nice and always coming to ask us if we need anything. If you guys r looking for a nice evening out with friends or your loved ones for just a relaxation then this is the place to go and make sure you ask for Ash he will for sure take really good care of you.

The Best Place To Go For Hookah in Los Angeles is Hotel Maya. I have been going to Maya for Hookah for almost a year now. The things that makes this the best spot for hookah are as follows:
1. Amazing Ambience: Hotel Maya is by the ocean and you get an amazing view of Long Beach and the Queen Mary. The view itself is worth the visit. The hotel it self features cabanas, fire pits, a waterfall and a hookah lounge all outdoors in an amazing Mediterranean /​Spanish setting. The setting alone beats regular hookah bars that are typically indoors, cramped and nasty. It is a great place to take a date or for getting together with your friends, must see in Long Beach.
2. Yummy Hookah: The hookah is always amazingly good compared to most places. The flavors taste right, you get plenty of smoke and the bowl holding the hookah is huge. Also, you can tell the hookah folks clean the equipment and know how to mix the flavors for a delicious experience. The hookah at Hotel Maya is provided by SoCal Hookah and they really go out of their way to make sure customers get what they ordered and are happy with their choice.
3. Amazing Service: Both the Hotel Maya and SoCal Hookah have great service. Wether ordering food or hookah, the service is always prompt, friendly and as ordered. The hookah manager is Ash and he does a great job of getting what you want and making sure your hookah experience is awesome.
4. Full Bar and Hookah: Most hookah places don’t serve drinks but at Hotel Maya you get great booze, great hookah and great service all in one place, which is rare.

Great spot to relax with friends. Service is amazing. Hookahs are very good, flavor amazing doesn’t die out. Everyone is really nice, and attentive. Its a must for a hookah spot.

Recently went down to the maya to get hookah. The service was excellent, the hookah guy Ash was really friendly and I has a great time. I’ve tried other hookah lounges around the area but this by far is the best! Will definitely come back!

I rented a hookah for my sisters birthday and had a really positive experience with SoCalHookah they were very accommodating, nice and informative. Our hookah added a fun edge to our party. I would definitely recommend this place!
