This is my all time favorite donut shop. This is the place my Father took me as a kid and it’s the place I’ll bring my kids. It still looks the same inside, so there’s definitely a nostalgia factor. The donuts are great. They have all the classics and have even started to make some of the fancier custom donuts other shops are making. The staff is always super friendly. If you’re in Long Beach check this place out.

The green Thai tea here is amazing and for just $ 3.25,you can get a large which is gigantic! Like why pay $ 4 for a regular cup of Boba when you can get a gigantic larger for $ 3 here??? Also, the Cronut here is amazing! It was like a glazed crêpe kind of because I’d the thin layer of the croissant but man was that delicious. They also have other donuts and croissant here too and I can’t wait to try them all!

Best donut place in Long Beach! Open 24⁄7 with A/C and even free wifi! What more can you ask for! Staff are nice and friendly although seating is limited. At peak hours, the line can go out the door. Their classics are very good and worth every cent(plus they are cheap!). — I love the maple bacon soooo much — blueberries was just ok. I wish they have more blueberries in the batter — the ham cheese sandwich is tasty. With generous portion of ham as well! — Red velvet was nice as well. — cronuts— hmm not really just stick with the classics — must get GREENTHAIICEDTEA!!! The best ever!

Wonderful fresh donuts. My cinnamon crumb donut was so fresh and soft even though it was 3 in the afternoon when I bought it, So much better than the chain places.

Simone’s is a 24 hour donut heaven if your craving that late night donut. They are a good solid donut. Also serve thrifty ice cream here which is great. We’ve been a couple times. I’ve had the cronut which I didn’t find too spectacular and wouldn’t order again.

F$&% M&M Donuts. This place makes Blueberry donuts better than M&M. That place is literally just hype from a bunch of college kids with munchies. The donuts here are actually soft and delicious. At M&Ms it’s more chewy and tough. Yeah it’s hot and fresh but it’s not that great. There’s no wait here and they have more than just a few donuts. I had the Ham and Cheese croissant which was bomb. Cinnamon Roll was pretty great too if you heat it up a bit, which they offer. I got 3 things for like $ 4. Happy Camper. I’ll be back. Recommended.

Fantastic. Lived this place. Great service– very friendly and helpful. Not pushy or irritated with my questions. I got a coffee, apple fritter, random pink donut, mini donut balls and a CRONUT.. I had to try a bite of each one..(I know. Don’t judge me) and they were all delicious. Reallllllly delicious. I did go early(about 930ish) so everything was fresh!

Even though this place is 24 hours, the quality of the donuts remains high. They bake throughout the day so the chances of getting a warm, freshly baked donut are pretty high. I was lucky enough to get there when they just put fresh buttermilk bars out and was blown away. They were crispy on the outside and perfrctly warm and soft on the inside. The glaze had a hint of lemon which I was surprised by but really enjoyed. The apple fritter tasted of real apples and cinnamon and also had a good outer crunch. The only letdown was the French creuller. It had a stale, chewy texture and bland flavor. It was light and airy but when you pulled it apart it kinda just… stretched. It was kind of weird. I don’t live in the area but since it’s located just off of the 5, I will definitely be stopping here on my way home to SD anytime I’m coming from LA.

Simone’s has a special place in my heart. They are that super reliable donut shop you come to when you want a quick bite before taking off on a road trip. For me its usually for a jalapeño ham and cheese croissant. They have your basic donuts but also have«what’s in» at all the other asian donut shops… those blueberry donuts, cronuts, tasty thai iced tea etc. Nothing fancy though. They also sell thrifty ice cream. I’ve never gotten it there but if you choose to have thrifty ice cream you’re good in my book! Also i’m not sure how the place is pronounced but I say«see-moanes» haha I love it

Pros: — Donuts were all stocked when we came in around 4 pm — There were many choices in donuts — We bought several random donuts and the lady gave us 1 free donut! I thought that was nice of her — Service was good, the lady was nice and chit chat with us before we left — Open 24⁄7 Cons: — The plaza it was in was very small = parking sucks Overall: Great place to get donuts when you’re craving it half way through the day. The donuts were yummy and I’d definitely come back whenever I am in Long Beach.

Donuts served here seemingly on hormones. They are slightly more oversized and just as delicious. The maple bar has somewhat of a nutty flavor adding a strip of bacon to it only enhances the flavor even more. The tiger tail was humongous, not as sweet which was perfect, but the carb was definitely felt in my thighs. The apple fritter was warm, large cubes of apples in every bite from one corner to the next down the middle. The crueller is like biting in a bar of butter, coated with sugar. Oh so good. Simone’s has been here for years as long as I’ve lived in East LB and seems just as good as before if not better. Parking in front lot accessible no problem. 4.5÷5 teetering on 5!

A decade ago, Simone’s was THE spot in Long Beach to grab a donut and hang out after a serious study session. But with the saturation of donut places and perhaps a personal change in preferences, Simone’s has lost their appeal and favorability. No longer are their ham, cheese, and jalapeño croissants beautiful monstrosities. Now they’re hit and miss. Some are acceptable – others are hollowed shells of their former selves… literally. A sliver of ham can be seen, curled up with minimal amount of cheese and a gaping hole in the center. Not worth the gamble for $ 2.50, especially when other options exist around town. As for their donuts, I always measure the true greatness of a donut maker by tasting their maple bar($ 0.80), buttermilk($ 0.80), crullers($ 0.80), and blueberry($ 0.80). I’m a fan of their crullers as the exterior has a sugared snap and the interior is semi-wet and doughy as they should be. As for their maple bars, buttermilks, and blueberry, they’re dry and over frosted, resulting in an over sugared treat. —- Conclusion: The Donuttery and Seaside Donuts have set the gold standard for donuts and stuffed croissants in SoCal. With these powerhouses, donut spots like Simone’s pales in comparison. While they’re affordable, open 24/7, and located right off the freeway for convenience, their products are average and parking plaza is horrifically small. Extra Notes: –Accepts credit card –Service is kind and suggestive –Tables inside and out –Décor and tables look like they’re from the 90’s –Parking plaza is tiny –No restroom

5 stars for cronut! Don’t try to buy a blended drink after 9PM. They won’t help you. Seriously, though. Warm up that cronut in the microwave. Say yes if the employee asks, and ask them if they don’t offer! They’re so good! I went late one night, around 11, and I was back the next afternoon dragging my siblings along because these things are so damn tasty! Get two!

Just know that Simone’s has it ALL and if what you came in here for is out, there’s plenty of other goodies to satisfy your sweets cravings! If it’s your first time, start off with the Special deal, a Dozen of regular donuts so you can get one of each. Only $ 8.25. Choices: Old fashioned, Buttermilk, Glazed, Jelly Filled, Custard Filled, Bars, Twist, etc. But like I said, it doesn’t stop there! Try the Apple fritters, cinnamon rolls, bear claw, tiger tail… they even offer Bagels(Plain, onion, blueberry, cinnamon raisin) for $ 1.25. With cream cheese is 50cents extra. Not a bad deal! I’ve tried a lot of their croissants as well. It’s a must if you’re planning on just picking up a treat for yourself. Go with blueberry and CC or strawberry and CC. Plain CC, butter croissant or almond croissant are a good start too if you’re into simple. For savory, ham & cheese hands down! Always fresh and you can have them warm it up! A lot of the times, we stop by before dropping off the little one. and donut holes are the way to go. Not messy at all, small bites, and quick & easy to take to school. Pair it up with hot cocoa. less than $ 3! If you’re feeling adventurous, grab some blueberry and red velvet donuts or even the cronuts(croissant & donut together).pretty good. A lot of people hype these items up so much but they’re okay. I like them especially when warm! Why drive to the OC area when they make em just as delicious and fresh STRAIGHTOUTTALONGBEACH, courtesy of SIMONE’S!!! I haven’t even mentioned their drink options! Start with the Toffee ice blended or chocolate chunks… BOMB! Or, they even have THAITEA. I’ve had the hot cocoa and you can’t go wrong with it, of course. I have yet to try the smoothies and milkshakes! YES, they have regular sodas in Can and other bottled drinks! I love it here. CUSTOMERSERVICEISAWESOME, ALWAYS! It’s a family run business and they’re just the sweetest. The guy who’s always there is really nice. Always greeting you and he knows people by name. It’s no surprise this place is always packed. Not to mention 24⁄7! I’ve stopped by super late and they start baking donuts around 1am! Now that’s dedication.

I usually get donuts from Spudnuts in Canoga, but we were in the area and decided to try our luck with Unilocal recommendations to this little spot. We got a varied box with glazed, sugar, crumble, tiger tail and a few donut holes. They were good donuts, but nothing spectacular. What I loved more than my crumble was the green thai iced tea. But if you give a mouse some delicious green thai iced tea, it’s going to want some boba… which they don’t sell here. Oh well! The owner was friendly too and offered great service. Overall, we had a great experience here and would definitely return… mostly for their tea :)

Was just«ok» for me. Service really friendly! Once donut world closed on bellflower and spring i continue to be on the search for my perfect glazed donut and other yummy treats. If places can make the simple things then the rest usually follows. Got the glazed and blueberry cake(no glaze. Maybe i should have got the glaze?) went at 6 am on a monday figured fresh hot stuff… First bite. both donuts tasted like the oil was old, greasy and sort of stale for the blueberry. Glazed was a good fluffy texture, glaze just right but again that sort of «old» oil killed it for me. I dont like eating a donut and tasting other foods in the oil. Not for me today. Im gonna give this place one more try. And go a different time. Would love to support this local joint.
