Thus far, I’ve brought one tweed skirt suit to be shortened here. The turnaround time was one week, and I was charged $ 15. I was happy with the workmanship and plan to return for any tailoring needs.

I had several alterations done at Paris dry cleaners and they turned out fantastic! I would recommend to anyone that has expensive clothing and wants to ensure their property in safe hands.

Vanna does a damn good job at alterations!
I brought in a long gown to be hemmed and pulled in at the bust and she did everything perfectly. Shes now officially my go to seamstress!

I am impressed and thamkful for the great job Ms. Van did. She has great customer service and knows how certain materials work. She made sure I knew that my new jeans (designer ones) would stack a certain way if I got it too long or short. I picked it up and tried it on. I love it!
The prices are reasonable considering where her store is. And I appreciate the convience of it from my house. I would def. recommend her work!

If I could give this place a zero I would. I used this place for the first time and had them clean my expensive business dress. It went from black and white to cream and brown with a huge stain on the front… I paid 25 $ to get a dry cleaning and had to beg her to get back anything for the dress. After weeks she finally gave me 50 $ back which in reality was 25 $ towards a 213 $ dress I wore twice. Five days later my card that she refunded me on was compromised and thankfully my bank sent me a new card and caught it. I have never had fraud on my card and had the same one for years… I won’t be going back.

That black and white (now brown and cream) dress was my absolute favorite dress I owned– despite the price. The fact of the matter. your business is available to people because you adhere to a guarantee of good and quality service which I did not find to be accurate (hence, my Unilocal review).
As far as fraudulent bank charges, I never stated it was your company. I just found it to be ironic that my card was compromised after our conflicting discussion shortly after I left your business.
Unilocal reviews may effect business, but as a consumer I am entitled to my own reviews and opinions. I took in a black and white BEAUTIFUL dress to have you remove a small armpit stain. A few WEEKS later (not days as promised) I was given a discolored brown dress with an intensified stain. Will not return or recommend. Ever.

They did a great job on my dress! They are fast, my altering was done in one day! Customer service is also a plus!

I’m updating my review due to noticing this business owner makes an effort to respond to negative reviews. Only problem is this owner is confused about which customer I was, as I never went into her seamstress business requesting any patches of any kind to be put on any material for the cost of $ 3.00. I went in there requesting a simple one line stitch to be put on each side of a faulty piece of velcro that was on my kiteboarding strap. The job would have taken no more than 30 seconds per each 7 inch line of stitching with a generic sewing machine. I also brought in the replacement velcro to avoid any additional material expenses. The quote I received as previously stated was $ 15/​line x 2 lines = $ 30 plus tax. Ended up going to another location that understood my simple request. I paid a total of $ 9.00 $ 4.50/line. Was literally in and out the door in 10 minutes. I’m sure this lady knows what she’s doing when it comes to her line of work. My experience was a unique one in that I had a request outside her norm. I admit I was a bit frustrated as there was difficulty communicating my sewing need. I cannot give her one star for not specializing in my random need to fix my binding straps. Kudos to her for making the effort to correct the miscommunication!

My husband and I have been going to Paris Tailors & Cleaners for over a year now and could not imagine going anywhere else. Having moved all over Southern California, it’s difficult finding consistent service, but Vanna, the owner, has provided above and beyond our expectations. She is always reliable, thorough, gives good prices, and has quick turnarounds when needed. She hems all of my maxi dresses, pants, and did a stellar job on all of my bridesmaids dresses last summer. It’s hard to find this quality service anymore. Whether you need your shirts dry-​cleaned, pants pressed, clothes altered, purses cleaned, or wedding dress cleaned and boxed, Vanna is your gal!

Took some clothing in for alterations, was a bit expensive at $ 22 each (sleeves, tapering, and having the length shortened). The shirts definitely fit better than before, but a better job could have been done. The lady that runs the business is very friendly and will have your items done on the day she tell you they’ll be done, but not necessarily the time!
If you’re taking your clothes in for very simple alterations, she’ll do a pretty good job. As for more intricate things? I’m not too sure.

I’ve had alterations, repairs, and some hems done here. They’re very friendly. Work was done in a reasonable amount of time, but then again, I never have anything that needs to be rushed. Everything turned out great. I was afraid about altering a slightly complicated and expensive skirt, but I was really happy with the results. Prices are a-​okay, especially considering the quality of work.

Understand that this alteration place is in a prime location in Long Beach (Belmont Shore) so the prices are going to be high. I took my bridesmaid dress and asked if they can do slip on the skirt and take the dress in. I was speaking to the seamstress’ daughter and she was talking to her mother (the seamstress) on the phone. The daughter said that her mother can do it and gave me a price as well as a deadline. I came back to try on the dress and the in-​seam on the skirt was not aligned and super tight. The seamstress said another day to fix it so I came back the next day when she told me to and it still needed some adjustments on the top part of the dress. After a couple hours later roaming 2^nd street I came back and the dress was perfect. What wasn’t great was the price, she did not honor the price she originally told me and she was blaming me that the alterations on the dress took too long. Why is it my fault that the seamstress did not line up the in-​seam with the dress’s seam-​line and that she had to take longer than she anticipated because of her error? I left frustrated. I would love to go back however, if she cannot honor her prices she states who knows what else she is doing. Oh and her hemming for scrub pants are close to $ 10! For a straight line? Come on now.

Granted I have gone here before their new location ! They are amazing at hemming jeans. I started to notice there quality of work went down when my Halloween costume was altered so bad that I took the stitch out to return it back to its figure which I paid a very good price in the first place (on my mind I thought they were to busy) but there is no exception to what they did to my dry cleaning!!! Don’t ever take it here all of my silks are faded and my fabrics are pressed so poorly that I have to re-​iron them. I really can’t express how upset I am as none of my clothes that I brought there were cheap — I have not taken them to a second dry cleaner yet. I so hope it is their chemicals and not my clothes destroyed

I’ve lived in the SGV, OC, LA, and now Long Beach. Of all the places I’ve lived, I’ve never found a tailor as good or as consistent as Vanna. Over the couple of years since I found her, Vanna has tailored over 50 jeans and suit pants, and other assorted garments for me, and they were to my satisfaction every time. Her original hems are always spot on, and unlike many tailors in Long Beach, Vanna’s method conceals the underside of the hem giving it a clean look and ability to be cuffed. As jeans/​slacks never fit right on me off the rack, I always take them to Vanna to get tailored to fit (whether I was in my boot cut phase, or now in my slim cut phase), and they’ve always come out great! Having Vanna as a tailor has completely expanded my wardrobe as I now can buy anything with a fabric I like and get it tailored to my satisfaction. She is fast, consistent, talented and a pleasure to work with. Can’t recommend her enough!

She did good work when I just needed a couple of pairs of jeans hemmed. However, she forgot that I requested to have them ready on Monday and had to pick them up the next day. It basically took her 7 days to hem 2 pairs of jeans when I know it probably only took her about 10 minutes. In short, good tailor, but unorganized.

I found out about this place after someone mentioned they had lost some weight and Vanna was able to tailor a few pair of pants for them. I myself had lost weight and was just about to get rid of a lot of expensive clothes only to have to replace them. It sickened me to get rid of clothes that were still useable and practically new.
So being leery I took in a couple shell tank tops that had hidden zippers on the side. I figured if she can tailor these to fit great but if they were destroyed I would not have any heartache over it. I went in tried them on and Vanna took her measurements and pinned each one here and there and wrote it up, gave me a slip and said to come back a few days later. The first thing I noticed was the reasonable price for 3 silk tank tops with shell underneath. So already I was happy.
I went back a few days later and tried them on and OMG… the angles sang! They fit perfectly, as though I bought them that way. No botched up job at all. I went over to my mom’s house and showed her the excellent work and was singing Vanna’s praises that she went in and took a few pair of new pants that were too long for her since she is short. Vanna not only put a perfect hem in each pair but she also fixed the waste that was slightly too big but didn’t change her for that.
I have been back again and again with dresses, pants, shirts, etc. She is a miracle worker and will save you time and money in NOT having to go out and find new clothes. The only thing that I have not taken in are coats and jackets but they are next as I would like to NOT have to replace my good jackets and coats. Let’s face it they do not make things as well as they used to. Yes I know every generation says that and it is sooooo true. Thus I would like to save as many of my clothes as I can.
You can ake new or old clothes to her and she will work her magic on them and you will think you have a brand new piece of clothing.

LOVE Paris Tailors. Obviously incredibly hard working and very reasonably priced. Does excellent dry cleaning and alterations. If something isn’t quite right, she immediately fixes it without charge. Wonderful work!

Got a hem done here. Took it back because the thread came out on one pant leg. She fixed it free, which is customary. Went back to pick it up two days later, and she hadn’t even started yet. She had me wait for about 30 minutes. Got my pants and got the fuck out of there. The next day I noticed there was another thread coming out again.
Waste of time and money. Never coming back.

One of the better priced cleaners in Belmont Shore for dress pants. I got a bridesmaid dress (length & width) altered here. It was about $ 55. The thin, lining layer of the dress was also altered but it was peeking out from underneath the main dress fabric and I had to bring it back. The owner was apologetic and fixed the issue right away. Make sure you get your stuff altered or cleaned several days before you have to go out of town in case anything like this happens.
Overall, I’m still pretty happy with all the pant alterations I’ve had done here. There’s a private changing room available. Then she’ll pin your pants or whatever to your desired length/​width in front of the mirrors.

This place is going to move to a new location very close by (I guess the building owner got greedy) on thanksgiving day. The new location will be at 5003 2^nd St. (Across the street from Coffee Bean and Olives Merket). It will be a better location for me since it’s closer!

This still is the best personal tailor that I use. I will not use anyone else, period. She (the owner) knows and listens to exactly what you want to be done and you will not get disappointed.
I brought in two jeans last week, one for original hemming and the other was for a rip in the rear pocket. She made me try on the hemming pants and told me that I shouldn’t get it done since it looks better that way and if I wash it couple more times it will look perfect. I mean, who does that? She could’ve easily say sure i’ll get it done and pocket the money but she didn’t. Repair on the other one was done beautifully and I couldn’t expect any better.
She was little worried that she might lose some customers since she is moving but make sure after thanksgiving, bring your clothes to her new location.

I love this Cleaners and Tailor. The owner is so sweet and she does fantastic work. I had just moved to Long Beach and found her thanks to Unilocal.All my dry cleaning and alterations (I have been in so many weddings — she has been a lifesaver). All were done expertly and on time. Anytime I had a stain on an item of clothing she would try her best to remove it — the majority of the time she was successful. Old yellow shirts that belong to my husband would become crisp and bright white after being cleaned at this awesome cleaner.
I am very very apprehensive about dry cleaners as I have had the absolute worst experience ever with clothing being lost or destroyed, being unfairly charged, and not being ready by the time I was instructed they would be. Paris tailor is fair, professional, friendly, and very very reliable.

I have taken many pairs of pants here for standard hemming along with more complicated alterations like taking in the legs and the butt. I’ve also taken a couple jackets here to be taken in.
If the clothing store where you purchased your item (s) doesn’t include complimentary alterations, this place is a good alternative.
The lady is very nice and works very hard to please her customers. Before she got to know my tastes she left pants too long and I needed to bring them back. She was happy to adjust the alteration and to expedite the turnaround. I had no problem with this, tailoring isn’t a science and garments often need to be re-​adjusted. Her eagerness to correct the «problem» earned my repeat business and now that she knows my tastes there is never any issue with length, etc. With that said, all of the work itself has been done very well.
Lastly, I think the pricing is very fair. She seems to always come under the price of comparable tailors.
