I love their tuna salad sandwich. I finally found a place that makes it to my liking and it’s not super watery and tangy like all the others I’ve tried. Yay!

I was dissapointed when I got there because I Unilocaled it and thought it was a bar with some hella good burgers. Sadly they have no alcohol but they have some really good burgers. I ordered the Shaq burger and my friend ordered the George Foreman III. We also ordered the smaller sized regular chilli cheese fries and a large soda to share. The chilli cheese fries were good but I’ve had better, and for being the smaller size the serving is pretty big. We ended up super full so we took the rest home. We ate in the patio which is a cute little outdoor spot and they have a backdoor that we learned about after seeing people exit through there. I would definitely go back

The full order of fries is HUGE. I felt bad that after the two of us ate way too many fries, there was still a half-order remaining. We just couldn’t eat that much. Also the double-burger was literally a mouthful. It’s definitely a place to fill up on a budget.

Holy Wow! These guys are Fast! I took a stroll around the block to pass the time while waiting and before I was 2/3’s of the way around the block I get a text msg, then a call from the delivery guy that he was here! I hurry back around the corner and this Jake Gyllenhaal look-alike bike courier rolls up with my food. He must be one fast cyclist. The Big George Foreman Burger was SOGOOD. The way they season the meat is Perfect. It was also perfectly cooked to Medium as requested. Moist and tender with all the fresh toppings to go with it. Huge too. Massive Box of Chili Fries with chunks of beef and smothered in melted cheese. Everything was fresh and still hot when it arrived. Friendly fast delivery and fantastic food — what’s not to like? I will be back!

Best hamburger ever! When my parents come in town we always eat here. It’s my dad’s favorite spot and I have to agree it’s the best burger ever. For the size and price you really can’t find any other place better. 5 of us eat here for less then 25 bucks. It’s a must try!

My friends rave about MVP’s all the time, so the hype lead me here after finishing up one of the most grueling finals of my college career. I’m not sure what I was expecting but goddamn! These guys are no slouches when it comes to food. Aside from the weird ass names they give each of their food items, everything was A-C-E. I ordered a bacon cheese burger with a side of chili cheese fries, expecting that«half order» of fries to come in a small basket– nope! These guys barraged me with a mountain of the most delicious chili cheese fries you could eat at a place like this. I couldn’t even finish them. And that burger? I wish I could remember the name of it, but that thing was bomb as hell. If that wasn’t enough the employees were really nice and chill/ Look, there are a number of burger joints in Long Beach that I’ve grown to love over the years. The fact that this place could top every single one of those in a single visit is enough to warrant a five-star rating. I’m coming back here again for sure.

so good, I’m not a veggie. but the veggie burger is great! They over load you with fries(which is great!) so sharing is so do-able. Cajin fries are very well made!

Today we ordered delivery… they brought me and my coworkers regular fries after we specifically ordered cheese fries… told me they would deliver the correct fries…3 hours later no delivery. I wasn’t going to leave a bad review but this plus the fact they undercooked my coworkers burger on her George Foreman II… let me add the fact that they overcooked the pastrami on my Christian Renaldo to the point where there were parts of it burnt. Very underwhelming… the only thing cooked the way it was supposed to be was my bosses vegetarian sandwich which of course required no cooking at all. I’ve had better service from MVP’s but now I remember why I’ve never been in a hurry to return there…$ 31 plus tip for a $ 10 value

YAAASSS! MVPSISTHEREALMVP! I love love love this place. It’s not a burger joint, it’s by far one of the best restaurants to get your burger and fries grub on. I remember when it used to be a little house and patio, now it’s a real little restaurant on temple. A half order of fries will fill you AND your momma up. Prices might have changed but it is still a lot cheaper than those greasy burger joints and a whole lot fresher! Have a favorite sports team player? They’ve probably for a sandwich or salad named after them here. Check it out. Service is wonderful too!!! MVPS never disappoints. I always recommend to everyone I know. Thanks guys!

*Update to previous review: After receiving a message from Oscar the owner regarding my previous review, I gave this location a second chance. The meal was on the house, which was much appreciated. GF-5, a Pete rose, and some perfectly seasoned Cajun fries. This meal definitely made up for the previous blunder. I can only hope it did not come with any kind of special sauce. Previous review: Been going to MVPs for a long time. Had a Duke tonight and was so sad. The burger patty was like a hockey puck, hard enough to break a window. So over cooked. And the fries tasted like they came right out of the fryer and were shaken in a giant bag of salt. So disappointed.

My friend and I went here after a game of basketball in the park. And we were hungry!!! We decided to go here cause it looks a sporty type of fast food joint. We both ordered the George Foreman V burger, side of Cajun fries, and a medium drink. The burger is meaty and will get you full in no time, but it was quite expensive for it’s taste. It’s nothing special about it really! Besides naming it from a famous boxer/griller. The Cajun fries is OK and not enough flavor on it. Overall, we got full, but we rather go somewhere else to grab food.

Gotta Love MVP’s, they are original and generous! best burger/sandwich joint in Long Beach hands down. Been a loyal customer for years, never really had a bad experience with service or the food itself… and if you are the type who gives bad reviews because you are too damn picky or the cashier didn’t say«HI» you need to get over yourself! It’s a whole-in-the-wall burger joint… My Favorites so far… –The Myke Tyson… never fails, it’s literally a burger with EVERYTHING you can imagine in it, you can’t even hold this thing. –The Kobe Bryant… The toppings on this burger just come together… every bite is delicious, much like the Duke! –Lionel Messi… Best Philly Cheese around… mushrooms and jalapenos? YESPLEASE! –Cristiano Ronaldo… Unique sandwich, once again MVP’s choice of toppings just come together for this mouth watering sandwich. –The Mark Sanchez… Everything you wish you could have on your hotdog EVERYTIME you have a hot dog! LOL Honestly, you can’t go wrong with MVP’s.

Here’s a shot of me and one of the AMAZING owners of MVP. I asked them for Tabasco Sauce to put on their awesome burgers and melt. Walked in and BAMM, hands me the bottle. Show me a better business! Love these guys!!! Thank you MVP for being so awesome. BTW, food is off the charts!!!

George Foreman with WHOLEROASTEDJALAPENOS, half order of Cajun fries(because I ordered a whole order once and realized that even as a fry monster, that was WAYTOOAMBITIOUS for me.) Don’t bother me, I’m getting fat and eating. Cash only.

A few minutes drive from the beach this place is a small hole in the wall eatery. When we entered we were two of the four patrons there but it was a little before lunch hour so not surprising. There is a menu above the registers but you can also grab a physical copy of you prefer. Cashier wasn’t overwhelmingly friendly but it wasn’t the end of the world. The lady that brought us or food was really nice. We both ordered the double cheeseburger combo(comes with fries and drink). We asked for our burgers to be medium. They do give you a TON of food for the price. The burger itself was cooked medium well to well. Form my own taste there was way too many toppings. Unfortunately, it didn’t list out what the burger had on it so I ended up picking a lot off. Next time I’ll know. The fries were tasty. There were 7 tables inside. Four of which were dirty and remained that way when we left. Overall: «A-ok» burger stop off.

New location, same stuff on the menu with an exception of a few additions. The new location In my opinion is much better. They have a private lot in the back of the restaurant that they share with the bar next door. There is seating available inside and seating also available outside in the back patio area. The inside is very well lit and has numerous drawings of MVPs from different sports. The outside is private and walled off by a wooden fence and can be accessed through the restaurant or from the parking lot in the back. I almost always get the JEANCLAUDEKILLYSANDWICH and a full order of CAJUNFRIES. Jean Claude Killy is Grilled chicken breast on squaw bread with avocado, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sprouts, and mayo. ***I sub the grilled chicken breast for lemon pepper grilled chicken breast, add onions, and omit the mayo.*** CAJUNFRIES the fries are a very generous helping, fried to perfection and depending on who’s doing the cooking, seasoned perfectly. If not I normally just ask for a side of seasoning and do it myself. There are yellow peppers and pickles located next to the drink dispenser if you want to add a kick to your meal, I always do. They take cards at this location, and if you’re in a hurry you can always phone in and order and they’ll have it ready for pick up in no time. I’ll be back when I want some good eats for a very good price.

Really like the new location! Inside seating woo! Great for cold nights. This is one of Long Beach’s most known burger joints, so I’d recommend it if your exploring the LBC. Portions are heftyyy. and CASHONLY. Parking behind the building. I usually get the Tiger Woods — Turkey burger. I request light sauce. I’ve gotten lettuce wrapped from here before but I wasn’t as impressed, so I’d go for the bun if its your first time. CAJUN fries are where its at. The half portion is huuuuge. and I couldn’t finish it, so it can definitely feed 2 hungry people easily. Wait time is hit or miss depending how many other are in front of you. I’m getting hungry thinking about this, so I’ll leave it at that!

Dropped into MVP’s newest location, right next to O’Connell’s(literally connected inside). I heard they’ve only been open for 2 – 3 days at this location. The amazing artist was literally still painting the wall mural as we ate our yummy burgers! Very friendly staff. We were forewarned of their«ginormous» fries so we got a half order of chili cheese fries and another half order of regular fries to share with my husband. I must say even a half order comes in very generous quantity. Fries were hot, crispy, and not oily. My kind of perfect french fries! I had Pat Day Melt on sourdough(has grilled onions, beef patty and swiss and cheddar cheese with nice house sauce) and it was pretty yummy! Sourdough was just crisp and grilled enough and stuff between the bread was nice and moist. They do have some parking behind the place so that’s a plus! Enter the lot through temple. There’s another MVP down the street on 4th between Loma and Grand. It was kind of confusing when Unilocal had another restaurant listing for this MVP’s with correct address but showed on the map as it being 4th and Temple. I think they need to fix that but we successfully found the new one thanks to my husband’s friends who live down the street.
