Okay, so I avoided Mitaki for a while. Why? I’m not sure. I don’t really like the idea of fast food sushi. Finally, I decided to head over one day because I guess I was feeling adventurous. Not bad. I got the orange roll, I love salmon.
Come here on Tuesday/​Wednesday when the fish is fresh. This is a good option if you have a quick sushi jones and you just need to cut the craving. I wouldn’t get too adventurous, but the basic rolls are okay and will do the trick.

Went last night with my daughter around 730p we got the cali roll w/​assortment. Decent except one of the assortment tasted off and I ended up discreetly spitting it out. My daughter enjoyed the Cali roll and the one I tried I enjoyed.
Our meal was suppose to come with soup asked one guy he said no it doesn’t, yet the other worker went off got my soup and corrected the worker that said no.
Again like I said everything was overall decent up until the last 5 minutes of us being there. As they’re bringing us the soup I see a fairly large sized roach (yes, ROACH) scurry across my table. I called over one of the guys let them know and left. Didn’t eat the soup just walked out.
I’m hoping that my experience wasn’t the norm but I’m most likely not going back for a long time.

Pretty good place nice and quiet. The guy working here is giving really good service. They don’t rush you to pay for the food which is good. Nice friendly atmosphere. The food is pretty good too. Fan of the sushi roll, california rolls. Spicy tuna roll. I ordered chicken katsu plate. It comes with salad and rice. They don’t give you a good portion for rice but its nicely presented. There some sort of thai peanut butter sauce all over the chicken katsu.

UPDATE: it was my favorite sushi placE but after today I will exitate to go there again. Salmon sushi was not good, smells bad, and was not well pressed. The to go bos was totally mixed up. And I went there at 3pm, so at that time they didn’t have many clients.
UPDATE: sushi is good but 1 $ extra for really few portion of rice it’s too much!
I come to this sushi restaurant often with my colleagues during lunch break. It is a nice place, not so big, but really clean and with a good service. Food is fine and the price convenient! The combinated plate for 8 $ is really huge!

Rainbow roll the skinniest slice of fish I’ve ever had! Weak. Ordered hot tea. Didn’t get it. Finally a cup of hot water and plopped in a tea bag after we finished eating. Edamame was good.

I’m not sure what a 5 star is but me and my family loved this place. I recommend the lobster roll that comes in a «bowl» it was great! I’m not sure if it’s an actual bowl but it’s really good.

The servers are patient and kind. I kept asking for things and they didn’t seem annoyed. I asked for them to put my food in a to go box because I wasn’t sure if I was going to finish it, but I did.

Was just in there waiting for my order to be finished I witnessed the sushi if drop a roll on the ground walk in the kitchen clean whatever was on off and he continued to packages it in the to go tray so somebody at home is getting ready to receive what I just saw him drop on the ground in then put back in the tray and drizzle it with the sauce and when I said something to him he only said sorry I asked for my money back and I left. Very very upset in my mouth was so ready for sushi not even worst a star

This spot cannot get any better. I’ve been here three times already. I always get the popcorn lobster roll because it’s my favorite and I tried the HUNGRY roll, too, which was HUGE. The service here is impeccable. The guys are super friendly. I love coming here. I may go here for dinner. I’m not sure yet.

When Mitaki reopened around the corner I was impressed; The prices dropped and there were more menu options available. Accommodating, creative variety to choose from.
I got a bento box special combine a roll with a side & it comes with a salad, & ball of rice. Picked a crunchy roll and tempura. So noms.

Walked by, craved sushi, so I walked in. I did their Happy Hour special buy one get one ½ off. After looking a bit harder at the menu though, I’d recommend the Mitaki special instead, seems like a slightly better deal depending on what you’re looking for.
The staff were very attentive and nice. Asked me if I had any questions about the menu, etc. I asked for a cup for water, and he said he’d bring it to my table. So that was nice. Five stars for customer service.
Food quality is definitely in the three star range. I got the Orange Roll and the Caterpillar Roll. The rice was overcooked and the spicy tuna looked a bit beat up. The texture is just a bit off.
Overall, the place is clean, has good customer service, okay prices and passable sushi.

Great little sushi joint. Me and my boyfriend both ate for under $ 20.they have a great selection of food, all the sushi looks amazing! Fast service! I recommend coming early because this place does get packed, luckily earlier we were the only two in there ! Can’t wait to come back. Spicy chicken is delishhh :)

Absolutely delicious.
Was visiting long beach with family and came across this place while driving by. Great location, few of the people I was with don’t like sushi and there were various restaurants next door including a kabob place & pizza/​italian. Also had Wingstop across the street.
The place was very clean and my favorite part– it didn’t smell like fish!
Great customer service.
Very fresh taste.
Will be back the next time I’m in Long Beach.
