Life of Reilly’s Pub and Grill

If you have social anxiety around women but love beer– you would have loved this place! But it’s closed down now. What once looked like what a bar would look like in a veterans hospital is now a fully refurbished seafood restaurant, that poses as a bar for the late night crowd in the summer, called Blue Point.
It was once pet friendly for poorly behaved dogs.

If you prefer your bar to be dirty, smelly and run down, but to have the sports on tv and the beers flowing, then this place is for you. It didn’t do much for me. I have my own dive bar already in nearby Rockaway Beach (See Blackwater Inn) so this place just came off like a cheap version of it, but with a lot more dank, dirt and stank.
I stopped into this place during the annual Irish Day in Long Beach (which is the first Saturday of October). The crowd wasn’t as busy as other places, probably because this place isn’t that great. Plenty of great bars within walking distance, try them first.
