Expensive drinks, but that’s to be expected in this area. This is one of the better bars on 2nd Street, as it’s a lot roomier with tables and a second floor. The girls bathroom actually has more than two stalls so the line doesn’t get all that long. Bartenders are attentive and the crowd is generally fun. I recommend trying Legends if you’re looking to get a drink but don’t intend to dance.

I’ve come here for lunch and a night out. Always receive excellent service. I’ve had their burgers and potato soup, and have nothing to complain about. Recently tried their spicy margarita and it was a bit too spicy for me. Also on the weekends it gets pretty packed.

Loved the Belmont Shore area. Day of shopping and need a cocktail with my visiting sister. Beer was good. Food was ok. Had munchies like the nachos and zucchini. They have huge tvs but the place is nothing special.

Shitty bar. Just don’t bother even going here the staff is shit and really incompetent. Their drinks are really overpriced as well. You’d be better off going to Shannon’s where you can get 3 drinks for the price of 1 at legends.

So after a long time of waiting to get to go to this place I have finally made it. Though it was after a 2 hour wait outside to get in. That left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth but their nachos left a better taste. They were awesome. I also had the wings which were pretty decent and the mac and cheese which was pretty decent. The place can be loud between people talking and yelling to tvs all over the place and the music playing in the background. it is pure chaos. The highlights of the visit for me were the humungous projector screen and the Formula 1 race car standing up on the wall. I would like to go again, I wouldn’t want to have to wait again. Never again. Parking is pure hell around here. They have no designated parking and then parking is almost nonexistent. If you find a spot consider it winning the lottery.

Legends is a local Long Beach bar/restaurant located on 2nd st and its been here for years. Completely remodeled after a fire a few years ago, this place is always sees to have a heathy crowd in it. Especially when it comes to watching big sporting event. I was there a lot during the work cup. When it comes to the servers, they almost seem bothered when you ask them for anything. Maybe a little stuck up. Our waitress Sarah is probably the coolest one there that I’ve experienced. She was totally cool. The food is good. Burgers, flat bread appetizer and salad were all good. Not that it was bad, just not anything to jump up and down about. What does stand out greatly is the place itself. The big open space. The jumbo screen that drops from the ceiling when the main event approaches. The beer is also good! Meet up with good friend, have a few cold ones then everything gets better knowatamean?

A nice alternative to the chains like Hooters and Buffalo Wild Wings. Great for watching college and NFL games. Not necessarily known for their drink specials but rather their abundance of televisions and big projector. Service is average, but don’t come for the service. Come for the TVs, to cheer on your favorite team, mingle with other fans, and enjoy a drink or two. The environment is lively and makes for a good time!

This place was cool. Second street as a whole is jut a cool place. There are so many restaurants, bars, and other stores on that street. It’s a nice little walk day or night. This bar is one of a few and they have a huge projector screen when you walk in where they play music videos. The volume is moderate, the drinks are great, the lines aren’t insane at the bar(there are two bars– one upstairs and downstairs) and the vibe is cool. No ones really dancing like crazy. Most people are talking and drinking. It’s a nice atmosphere when you’re trying to have a fee drinks with friends but not be sitting at a bar talking to a trucker next to you for an hour.

Legends — Absolutely FIVE Stars! I am a newer resident in Long Beach/Belmont area and several people referred me to Legends. Glad I listened! Management, bar staff, and hosts are GREAT. Exceptional customer service, good food and drinks. During my first visit I met Sarah, one of the managers. It was a pleasant surprise to see her again today! I will definitely be back to Legends.

Recommended by a friend for some Thursday night football and some beers. They have a great selection of draft beer with huge mugs. Ordered a bunch of apps and everything that came out was terrific. Nice staff and the T.V.‘s are insane! Enjoy!

The worst! Started with an empty bar and I was told that I could not save a seat for a friend that was coming later. Thank God they switched out bartenders before game time. The guy was not just rude but very slow to refill my drink, maybe because it was only diet coke? I read the reviews about the food and the nasty taste that lingers in your mouth and they were accurate! ! I took a gamble on the sampler platter and my friend ordered the skins. Disgusting, cold, no seasoning, raw zucchini. … both of us returned our meals half eaten. Game time came and the Trojan faithful started filling the place to watch the game against cal. What do they put on the biggest screen with the audio? Bruins! There was one table of bruin fans in the whole place. Service, fail. Food, fail, Prices, fail Ambiance, good place with potential

My friends and I thought it would be a good idea to go out to 2nd Street in Long Beach to celebrate a birthday. The bar we wanted to go to was at capacity, so we ended up coming to Legends instead. It was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at 2nd Street. They were serving drinks until about an hour before closing. As soon as the final hour began, however, the bouncers started running around the bar yelling at all of the patrons that they had to leave. I specifically remember one bouncer yelling: «YOULEAVEWHENWESAYIT’S TIMETOLEAVE, GETOUT.» All sensitivity aside, I get it, it’s a bar in Long Beach and there are a lot of crazy drunk people out there. I think the bouncers kicking people out at an appropriate time would still be acceptable(albeit thoroughly unpleasant) had it not been for what happened just after that. I had to linger behind the emptying crowd because I had forgotten to close out. A bouncer yelled at me that I had to leave before realizing that I was just trying to pay. Once I explained, he let me stay. There were a few stragglers who wanted to stay a bit longer at the bar. One of those stragglers was a girl who was insistent on finishing the beer she had bought only moments before the bouncers went on their power trip. **Note: People still had beer to finish because they were serving it up until the moment they decided everyone had to leave. The bouncers kept getting in her face saying she had to leave. She said she just wanted to finish her beer. The bouncer then decided to stick his hand in her beer glass and spill it all over her. I will never go back. The bouncers are aggressive(verging on criminally assaulting) and the fact that management would allow an employee to treat a customer like that is beyond me. Really this is the the worst bar in Long Beach and honestly it kind of ruined 2nd Street for me. Do not go here if you expect to be treated with any kind of human decency.

When you think of Legends … it’s big screen & plenty of televisions and a happy hour always in place. This NFL Season — Monday Nights meet up here, 2 burgers for the price of 1 — and they are big & juicy. Not a place for wine or whiners(yup, those type of fans). @Legends

:. Long Beach, California .: Legends is loud, which is why I love it. Great sports atmosphere, which is what I’m looking for in a sports bar. This isn’t a place to have an intimate conversation. More of a place to celebrate championships. I only wish I would’ve known about this place back when the Lakers were sweeping. They have a gigantic projector screen, which me and friend guessed to be about 250 inches? I don’t know, but it’s big. Perfect for watching any sporting event, which is why you would have to get there super early to watch a big game, I’m sure. So be prepared for that. In total I counted about 25 televisions. Something to look at in all directions. I’m surprised this place only has three stars, but maybe because their restroom is located up a flight of stairs. I can’t really think of anything else wrong with the place. Great bar on Belmont Shore!

Legends is a big time sports bar located on the ever-so-popular 2nd Street, in between Covina and Corona Aves. It is probably one of the loudest places on that block. They do have a patio section that is open to the bar area, so you hear a lot of howling, laughter, and shouting as you walk or drive by. I’ve been here a few times for happy hour… not for the booze, but for the food. One of my co-workers suggested the place, so we tried it out. Out of everything that I have had, their buffalo wings are really good! I love chicken, so much so that they call me chicken killer in my family and I proudly wear that badge! In reading the other reviews, it’s true that they do need better service. It is very slow and you virtually want to hold on to your server and small talk them while everyone quickly scans the menu to order! The few times that we were there, we just went straight to the tiny outside patio area and snagged a table. The tables were dirty and even when cleaned, they were still filthy, because they were sticky. The wait seems to take forever to flag someone down to come and clean it. It was SO loud in there that you are practically shouting to speak to your friends, so we figured that we had the best shot at hearing each other by being on the patio. The bar area is always full and many of the patrons are already drunk and all over the place. Some of them seem to get messy drunk here and each time that we’ve come, it’s been that same type of crowd. Some stare, like they’ve never seen a beautiful black woman before;), while others try to hit on you. The hitting on you part wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t look they were about to puke in your lap, as they take another swig of beer and belch. I don’t know about the DJ and dance floor, because we try to leave before all of that gets started. I can only imagine how crazy that scene gets and if the bar area is any indication, it’s about to get cray cray. This place seems to get more and more packed as the evening goes on… maybe because it’s one of the few places open late, but I would go again, it’s just not my first choice. There is street parking and they also have a small lot in back that I didn’t initially know about. There’s also plenty of places to hook your bike up in front. If you are seriously into sports, this is definitely a good place to come watch! There are a lot of TV’s and they have the biggest screen for the projector that I’ve ever seen. They seem to put the most popular game up on that one. You can see that thing from the street!

I went here to catch up and have a drink with an old friend. This is not the best location to do that. It’s really loud and the clientele can be a little rowdy. I had never been here before and my friend and I just decided to randomly stop here after we hit up some other places on 2nd. However, this place is ideal for watching sports(DUH) — there is a huge screen and multiple little ones. It definitely is a fun place for the sports fan. I haven’t had the food here but nothing seemed too appealing to me. There are daily happy hour specials, so be on the look out for that. The tables are a little sticky and service is not the best, but I would come back to watch a game. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if your main intention is to engage in conversation.

Came here on a Friday night as the first spot on our bar hopping list. I used to go a lot during my college days. It was alright this night. It sucks that there is never dancing. The bartenders were pretty chill though, fast and efficient. The AMF I got wasn’t as strong as it should be so I only got one and we bounced to our next destination. Also, beware of the stairs! The bathrooms are upstairs and as I was walking down from the stairs I totally ate it because I missed a step and I wasn’t even drunk at all at this point! Be careful!

I had a chance to visit this place and must say I was thoroughly impressed with their breakfast menu. If you are looking for a nice casual American food restaurant this is your place. I had the californian omelet and it was pretty good(see picture). If you are a sports bar enthusiasts you will definitely love it here. Memorabilia from all of the local sports teams align the walls and tables. You will also enjoy the big screens and nice bar area. I certainly recommend this place.

Legends stands out as one of the bigger spacious bars on 2nd street. You pass by and just see the high ceiling and TVs everywhere. They also have the biggest TV projector not used for educational purposes. And on top of that they have a bunch of flat screens lined up on the walls. It’s a chill place to go on a week night for drinks. The place is so spacious that even though there are people, it won’t seem like it’s crowded. There’s also NOCOVERCHARGE ever. There is a line on the weekend but at least you won’t have to pay to get in. I went during the day for lunch and the food surprised me in a good way. Maybe it’s because I have low expectations for bar food but it actually was good. The chicken tenders appetizer tasted like real chicken fillet battered and fried, not like those frozen pre-made chicken tenders you taste at a chain restaurant. The spinach artichoke dip wasn’t too salty, as is usually the case. The Mac and cheese appetizer was creamy and had all kinds of pasta instead of just one. And the fried mozzarella appetizer, well that’s just hard to mess up anywhere. I ordered the roasted turkey and avocado hold the mayo and they sure didn’t skimp on the turkey. One thing that’s annoying when you order a sandwich that has avocado is the difficulty level in eating it because of the way restaurants cut and place their avocados in the sandwich. Not over here! They cut and placed the avocados in a neat line on one side so I could see the avocado line after every bite, it wasn’t messy at all. The carrot cake was a huge portion. The chocolate molten cake was really chocolatey and soft. My favorite dessert was the apple pie. It was served warm. Really, I don’t think you can go wrong ordering food here. Side note: If you’re thinking how fat I am that I ordered all this food for myself, I didn’t, I was at a company’s lunch. So don’t judge.
