So yeah… went here to lunch with some co-workers. Not a great experience. Shrimp in the Fried Rice tasted old and fishy. Not a good sign. The beef in the Nom Tok wasn’t that flavorful and contained a lot of fat. The Pad Kee Mao wasn’t bad and the Crispy Pork was pretty good… but yeah. Not sure if I would ever go back here. There are a lot of mediocre Thai places in Long Beach, why would I settle for less than mediocre?

I can guarantee that most Thai restaurant that has soy sauce bottle, instead of fish sauce on the table is going to disappoint your taste buds. This is one of them. The boat noodle was just plain weird. I can imagine dishwashing water would taste better. It was bland, but with weird sweet flavor like the cook put sugar in it. The beef flavor was not present. In a nut shell, it tasted like tap water with a few table spoons of sugar and some spices in it. All I ordered was boat noodle, so those who still dare going to this gettho place, you are on your own. P. S. the lunch crowd had no manners, –Loud speaker phone blasted for the entire restaurant to hear both sides of the conversations. Two different tables did this during my 45 minute there. –Drunk men hanging out during lunch, countless emptied bottles of beer on the table. Not a pleasant place to be. -

Horrible customer service. My Thai food place was closed so I decided to try some Thai places in the area. I walked in and the servers were just passing me and serving their tables. The lady at the register just sat there, no greeting. So I waiting for a couple more minutes and still nothing so I walked out.

So I came to this joint because I used to come here as a kid but this is absolutely ridiculous. I came in with a friend and my girlfriend to eat, mind you it’s only three of us. Each ordered a $ 7.99 meal and one can soda and two Thai teas. My bill came to be $ 49.70… Which I think is ridiculous considering my pad Thai was not very pleasant and their crying tiger dish had strips of over cooked sirloin that was served cold over lettuce. This is a shame since this used to be a great Thai place. I would seriously not recommend this place for the food is simply ridiculously under par and apparently the can sodas are $ 2.30. Avoid Kuhn Dom restaurant…

Bad customer service always. The cashier is a young woman with black hair. She truly hates her job.

I hate to give this place one star because the food was great but it was one of the dirtiest places I have been in for a long time. The only reason I did not walk right out when I came in was the fact that my friend from out of town swore by the food and wanted to eat there. The food was indeed great but there is no excuse for how filthy that place was and not to mention you have to play musical chairs to find a booth that’s not broken down. The menu, floors and soy sauce bottles are all in dire need of cleaning. Would recommend the food but you might enjoy it better if you get it to go!

This place sucks! Don’t come here. It’s dirty there’s spired web all over roaches and tables are dirty not to mention the seats. God knows how’s the kitchen. Service super extra slow even with just 2 tables. My cup of ice was dirty I just could not do it sorry I had to walk out.

This is my go to Thai restaurant in our neighborhood. I always pick up or get delivery. The chicken pad thai, papaya salad, orange chicken, and egg rolls are delicious. They get 5 stars because they deliver and they are quicker then their quoting time. Thai tea is on point too.

Excellent authentic Thai food and I’ve eaten at a lot of them. Their fried shrimp wontons are awesome. Also, I got the Panang curry and shrimp salad. All were excellent. Don’t listen to what others had to say about the service here. They’re maybe not classically trained in the art of serving, but they’re all very nice people and the food is excellent. What more do you want? Go to a five star steak house if you want to babied. Highly recommended.

I wanted so badly to like this place. Twice. But the unsanitary look of the place, and the lack of friendliness(that one would otherwise get at other Thai joints) kind of turned me off to the whole establishment. The only pro is the proximity to where I live, that I could walk there, but no, I’d rather walk the extra block to one of the other Thai restos.

Not bad! I’ve passed through this place countless times but never dined in until recently. Came a couple of times with a friend and we’ve had a good experience. They have plenty to chose from in their menu. I’ve tried the bbq chicken plate and their cashew nut chicken plate. The cashew nut chicken has to be my favorite. At first we didn’t know exactly what plate it was so we ordered something very similar but the waitress was very nice and offered to slightly modify our plates to get the cashew nut at no extra cost. I do not recall her name but She was very friendly and informative. If you visit, you’ll know right away who I’m talking about. The rice was good, chow mein was just right not greasy, chicken fantastic and the thai Iced Tea was great! The place is small but spacy. It can use a little remodeling from the inside but meh it’s decent. The place is clean from my experience. Why not 5 stars? I would have to say the location of the place. I just never got a feel for that side of town but don’t let that discourage you, come. check it out! Good place, I’ll definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu.

Food was mediocre. The Thai boat was gross. The beef was tough and the broth was extremely sweet. I had to rely on the one cup of water to put it down. Service was terrible. We asked for water multiple times and was completely ignored. Apparently the waitress/cashier had something more important to handle on her phone then to tend to her own customers. I didn’t even leave a tip and I’m usually a 20% tipper. Needless to say I am not coming back here again. I’ll stick to Long Beach Thai.

Customer service SUCKED here, when I ordered delivery for the second time. Food was good like last time, and the delivery was eh, HOWever, the girl on the phone had major tude, kept cutting me off, and kept putting me on hold or passing the phone to other people(1 other) while she yelled at staffers in the restaurant(she put the phone down twice but I could hear everything). I knew what I wanted to order before I called and it took 11minutes(iphone call timer) to place my order. 11 min on the phone is a long freakin time. she had to repeat my order back to me 3 times and asked for my phone number twice bc really she wanst listening when i answered the first time. An hour later(20 min past the est delivery time) she called saying that the delivery guy has been calling and calling but i havent answered. my phone neve rang. she basically called me a liar. when i did find the driver, who is SO nice and cheery, i saw on the receipt that the girl had written my phone number wrong. ruined my lunch experience. 0 stars for service on the phone, 3

My cronies and I felt that it was about time to get Khun Dom. Fortunately for us, there was a dish called the Khun Dom platter which we devoured with much gusto. I myself got curry fried rice. It was fairly good but I could hardly taste the curry in it. All the dishes serve 2 – 3 people. The service was fairly prosaic. But all in all, I don’t regret getting Khun Dom.

Love the Thai food here at Khun Dom here in the LBC. The restaurant itself isn’t in a really nice part of LB and the bathrooms are located outside and to the back(so watch your back if you need to go drop one late at night). I enjoy Khun Dom’s food. The Pad Thai is really good, the Thai ice tea is authentic and they serve you a nice portion(even for lunch). The place seems to be run by a family too(mom, dad and daughter) that are really nice. They take credit, they have a pretty big parking lot(or street parking) and the restaurant is somewhat ok to dine in. The décor is a bit old and the couches sit a little low. But hey, I’m in it for the food and it’s good! They serve Singha Thai beer too!

Going out to eat — there are going to be places you love as well as places you don’t. For me, Khun Dom falls into the latter category though a few of my coworkers would argue otherwise. I felt that portion sizes were too small — not sure if it’s because it was lunch as opposed to dinner; however the prices don’t reflect lunch prices compared to other places I’ve been to. The customer service isn’t very good at all either. One follow up visit to offer water refills however that was before the food was even served and the water really even touched. When we had finished eating — we waited for the bill. And waited. One in our group even went up to the counter to request the bill and we waited even after that. Maybe Khun Dom is better than the Thai restaurants in the area but I’ve definitely had better at other places; better tasting, bigger portions and better customer service.
