I love this place. The food here is very delicious and the portions are satisfying. You get great value for your buck! They serve breakfast all day. Their menu is fairly small but they have a variety of dishes. From breakfast burritos to sandwiches to some delicious phở. This place has something for everyone. The chicken walnut salad is my favorite.

I have only come in here for breakfast a few times so I can’t speak to the Asian food but my expiriences here have left me wanting. You walk in and the girl behind the counter always looks like she hates life and growls out a Good Morning. I own my own small business so customer service is a huge deal to me! The Breakfast croissant is like 6.50 and u get a tiny bit of egg, a strip of bacon and cheese and a greasy croissant. Maybe if it were like… 3.50 i could deal. Anyhow, not going here anymore no matter how convenient it is!

Pretty legit homemade Vietnamese food, tastes just like mom used to make. As a matter of fact it’s run by a lady who reminds me of my mom /aunties… Highly recommend: Vietnamese Curry special with French bread Shrimp spring rolls Vermicelli w/fried tofu or chicken Have not tried the phở but looks pretty good. Pork bahnmi is ok but not my fave… For that I’d drive to East Borough. Still haven’t found something closer to home than the one those guys make. Subtracted a star because the veggies aren’t the freshest here, so I’ll get a few wilted leaves or sprouts that are bitter and ruins the bite.

The phở is surprisingy tasty: Slices of beef and meatballs(a first for me but why not) fresh thai basil, sprouts, lime, onions and chewy noodles. A quick phở-fix is very welcome in downtown long beach.

Today I tried the Pork Banh Mi, and it was very tasty. I think the sandwich is a little too big for one person, but it’s good.

Interesting little place in the same building as my company’s office is. I was in town for some meetings and found this place and decided to try it out for breakfast. I ordered a breakfast burrito and since they charge .50 cents for any credit card purchase under $ 5 I figured I’d make my order $ 5 so I ordered a Thai iced tea. I got the tea immediately but the wait for the burrito was a bit long. Especially how simple the burrito was, egg and cheese. There were a few people who got their order quickly and it seems as if they had called in their order. Maybe that’s the way to go so you don’t have to wait long. The burrito was alright. Filled me up until that afternoon.

This is my lifesaver. On cold days, Java Junction is the only place in Downtown that serves phở. On summery days, this place is the only place that serves a delicious bun(rice noodle salad) topped with grilled chicken in Downtown. And on those special days(or rather 5 days), Java Junction has knock-your-socks off curry. It’s the not too soupy, rich in lemongrass flavor and spices, got a kick to clear out your entire sinus, most flavorful curry with just a touch of sweetness. This is truly a gym in Downtown for lunch. Is this the place where the phở is at the top-of-the-world? No – there’s Phở Hong Phat on Anaheim. But is this the place where you can get phở within many Downtown offices and not have to make a trek? Absolutely. And it’s worth the short walk, tastes delicious, and hits the spot on those blustery days. And let’s be honest, I’m paying about $ 8-$ 9 for lunch. It’s absolute nonsense to expect Michelin star service for $ 8-$ 9. This is a café that serves a breakfast and lunch crowd on the move – and that means the folks working here are also on the move. They know that, to keep us happy, getting delicious food out quickly is the main goal. And by «they,» I mean the one person at the front handling in-person orders and phone orders, and bringing the food out. If you want to be pretend like you’re royalty while being cheap, don’t bother! If you want awesome food, come to Java Junction!

Super cute place with some indoor and outdoor seating. If you want a hot breakfast meal or coffee this is your place to go. Fairly priced I’d say for the area and variety of choices available. It was a bit sad seeing two people quickly steal a drink and leave! So it never felt better to tip the woman at the counter.

Love this place. It’s downstairs from my office and everything I’ve had is great. It’s operated by a mom and daughter team, and although it gets super busy, they manage it well. Specials are great and so are their soups. Their curry is outstanding and definitely worth the wait when it’s a special!!!

What a gem located at the Wells Fargo bldg in downtown Long Beach. A family owned business ran by Teresa & Irene offering an array of breakfast, lunch and Asian specialties. I have tried the pork Banh Mi, spring rolls, phở, their daily specials chicken lettuce wrap and my ultimate favorite chicken curry! Everything is spectacular and reasonably priced. Lunch hour is super busy, line was trickling out the door with patrons inside and out savoring every single bite. Even over heard a customer in line who brought her co-worker and suggested everything on their menu, she was basically a walking advertisement for Java Junction and I don’t blame her, I’d do the same if worked in the area. Support your local small business who offers great service and amazing food!

Humble Java Junction. Busy as always, and only open until around 4 in the afternoon, but heck, they can do lunch. I’ve only tried their pesto chicken wrap, phở, pork banh mi, vermicelli noodles, and their various weekly specials, but they will not disappoint if you’re just looking for a quiet little place that does a no-nonsense lunch experience. Kudos to a coffee shop that can pull off authentic Asian dishes like java.

Great Thai and Vietnamese daily lunch specials. I wish they were open at night because they beat most restaurants/take-aways.

Only experienced the breakfast burrito so far and I would give it a 4 star, however the phone etiquette of the employee was less than desired when I pre-ordered the burrito so 3 stars is given. Plus, when I arrived at the store it seemed like I was an inconvenience to her versus a customer that they wanted repeat business from. I will try them again because I was told to try the rosemary potatoes over the hash browns in the breakfast burrito. If the customer service is better next time I will raise my rating to reflect that. Happy eating.

I’ve come to this place 3 times, I occasdionally drop in for a hot chocolate and croissant pairing. They have delicious hot chocolate here. Aside from what I’ve tried, I am inpressed by the usual coffee house offerings and Thai food. As much as I’d like to try I will have to pass. Primarily due to the rude service I recieve Everytime I visit this place. I’ve been here when there are other folks and they get great service. A smile and hello, how can I help you? Not for me, I’ve noticed that only the White patrons and non Black’s are treated well. Won’t be back here, I will gladly keep my duckets.

Probably the best cookies in town. The sandwiches and salads are good as well. Unfortunately, the customer services needs a lot of work. I phoned several times to coordinate a luncheon that we were having during an all day meeting at work. Each time I phoned, the person on the phone was rude and abrupt, and even hung up without saying good-bye at one point. I will more than likely not order from Java Junction again.

Pretty good breakfast burrito and seating. Right next to the train station so it is very easy to get too. The coffee is alright, nothing great or bad. But can’t go wrong with a medium. I’ll stop by again before I leave long beach.

I was both shocked and excited to find out that there is a place where I can get Vietnamese food in this area. Because thats all I ever order, this review is for their V food/drink ONLY! And yes, they are great and as authentic as a café on DTLB can get. Banh Mi(V sandwich) is above average and a tad overpriced. The fact that they have Phở at all, let along decent Phở, is so very comforting. V coffee is made just right– don’t hesitate to ask for more coffee or milk to your liking. Strongly recommend you to come here for the things they have, instead of going to Anaheim for Cambodianized V food.

Not only is the owner and her daughter a pleasure to order from, but their food is great too! I’ve worked in this building for 4 years now, and that place has changed owners a few times. If they change owners again, it’ll never be the same! I love that they have Asian foods, like their beef tofu soup and bun(vermacelli noodles). They also bake fresh croissants every morning. My favorite one is the Almond Croissant. Delicious!
