I read the online reviews and ventured into this place with my little one on a crisp Friday evening. We ordered an order of the fresh spring rolls, a bowl of the vegetable phở and lychee jasmine tea. The spring rolls were terrible. The rice wrapper was stiff and hard, perhaps they were made earlier in the day. Spring rolls should be fresh, the wrapper should not stiff or tough to chew. The pork meat was dry, the shrimp was gummy, and the lettuce inside was turning brown. Not up to Vietnamese standards, sigh. The vegetable phở was decent. It had a good veggie to noodle ratio but they did not provide enough bean sprouts or basil. The lychee jasmine tea was delicious. I won’t be coming back, Garden Grove it is for Vietnamese.

Decently priced, much cheaper than Nam near the VA. On the spicier side, but I like that they are generous with the veggies too. Didn’t wow me but not bad, not bad at all. Am willing to try their vietnamese coffee and spring rolls next time I come. Not allowed to park in the lot for the laundry mart and liquor store.

This Vietnamese place is new to the LBC, but also one of many. So far the family that runs this place impresses me every time. I have not eaten inside, but I have ordered to go. I order chicken phở, spring rolls, fried egg rolls, and plain fresh baguettes(they sale them plain if you ask). The chicken phở comes with a lot of chicken and a lot of noodles, that’s a plus! The spring rolls are fresh and damn good! I am impressed at the fried egg rolls because though they are fried, they are not greasy at all. The baguettes also impress me. Not sure if they bake them themselves, but they are also fresh and warm! I love eating them plain, YUM. Yes, they are Fast and Fresh!

Vietnamese food is actually one of my favorite cuisine. Their menu does offer options of a typical vietnamese restaurant. The Fried Eggs with Vietnamese Sausage and BBQ Pork is tasty. Definitely worth it for the price($ 4.85).The place is clean with plenty of seating, great for large groups. Service was great and food is yummy. I will be coming back here when I am craving Vietnamese food!:)

Great customer service, quick and friendly. As far as atmosphere goes, they’re lacking hardcore. The ventilation system n this place needs to be fixed asap. The smoke/fumes from the fryer and cooking is choking. As for the food, it wasn’t the best bowl of Phở I’ve had. The addition of limes and basil were necessary. I wasn’t a fan of the spongy meatballs. Spring rolls were pre made and lackluster. Although I may be used to Thai fresh spring rolls, which could be why I was put off by the sauce. I was expecting peanut sauce. On a more positive note the bahn mi was delicious. The baguette was fresh and soft and cracked on the outside when I bit into it. The bbq pork was tasty as well. We also had the blackberry tea, which was ok. I was a little disappointed in the vietnamese coffee as I could tell it was a powdered mixture. If I go back to this place it will be for the bahn mi alone.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch, and I was really impressed. Ever since returning from Vietnam, I’ve tried numerous Vietnamese café’s looking for authentic Vietnamese coffee. This place is the best I have found so far in the USA. Texture is great and has a bit more of a chocolate taste, but overall, it’s very good. Shrimp spring rolls were fresh and tasted great. Peanut sauce was more watery than most, but made for easier dipping. BBQ pork Banh mí was fresh and had great flavors, but was a bit on the spicy side, maybe a little too spicy for some people. I’m looking forward to coming back.
