Decided to get a quick layered trim haircut and one of the ladies, Annette was super nice and friendly!
I can tell that the price depends on your cut and what you want to get. Mines wasn’t too bad, $ 22, which included a wash, cut, and blow dry! She did a really good job to my straight tacky hair and gave me long layers, which I wanted and gave it a slight bit of a U shape when my hair is placed at the back.
She was very sweet and my first experience of getting a hair cut on campus was definitely great!

I’ve been going to Ronny @ this salon for over 2 years and I wouldn’t change it, she’s awesome, she takes her time with u. My hair would feel brittle n dry after dyes, once I found Ronny my hair feels very healthy n not damaged at all. Wouldn’t go anywhere else, she uses great quality products and that’s what I love, she’s very reasonable to. Once u go to the Elektric hair salon u won’t go anywhere else, trust me I’m very very picky with my hair. She also knows how to style ur hair. That’s a double plus

Spur of the moment thing, got my hair cut by Rany! Upon walking in I was greeted by the most welcoming smile. She gave me an undershave. It’s nice and even– she takes her time and makes sure you’re happy with the cut, even with mine being a simple shave :-)
2÷17÷16 Update: Got my haircut last week and kinda… overpriced for what it was. I just wanted a re-​undershave and an inch off the rest of my hair. Got charged $ 20, a huge rip off IMO. I asked for the undershave and a straight across haircut. and the woman cutting my hair started spraying all this unnecessary product in it, took like 45 minutes to do it which is never how long it takes to do it at other places and charged the crap out of me for it. I’ve had my undershave redone by the two other women working here before and it’s literally only taken like 5 minutes.

Cathy was an amazing stylist! My hair turned out better than I imagined it. Pleasant conversations, too!

I’ve had my haircut here twice. The first time was a bit rushed but the cut was decent and at an affordable price. This last time the experience was much better and very relaxing. My hair feels refreshed and full of life again and I love it. Still very affordable and worthwhile to go especially when they are not busy and can dedicate more time to each customer.

The Cambodian lady in the afternoon saw me as her last client a half hour before closing. I was a walk in too so that made me feel really welcome here. She gave me a terrific hair cut and wash. I threw in a tip because it was well deserved. Exceptional service was given and I will definitely return for my future trim.

After not having my hair cut for about a year I didn’t really know what I wanted. Jason was able to give me a great hairstyle that fits in with my everyday look. Definitely be going there again! Price is really good too!

I love her salon; it’s low-​key, great rates, local, professional and personal. She specializes in color and does a fantastic cut and color for me every time; and whenever I’ve been at Elektric the other stylists are friendly and helpful, too. I like that it’s on the CSULB campus at the University Student Union — easy to bike, bus or drive to – She’s very helpful with parking advice if you need it. Bonus? There’s a starbucks and other fasty-​foody eateries right there!

I have had my hair cut by Marvin several times since I started school in August and honestly I can have no complaints. He really takes his time in his work and makes sure that he meets every last detail. The salon is clean, nice-​looking and fairly priced and even if you don’t go to school there, it’s a great place to get your hair cut. I would definitely recommend it, especially Marvin!

I have been having by hair cut at Electric Hair for over twenty-​six years (the last fourteen years with Jason Garcia.) Jason is an excellent stylist and so I have returned to CSULB monthly (since I left there ten years ago) to have him cut my hair. If you are looking for quality work at a reasonable price, I would recommend this shop — particularly Jason.

Today was my second time going here, and although initially I went because of the proximity of the location to school and work, I have returned for the price, quality, and service. For the price ($ 20 for a wash and trim) it is a great deal and I have yet to be disappointed, and everyone I have encountered there has been nice and helpful. Def recommend.

Affordable, professional and great quality haircuts. Jason is the guy I go to for a good cut and shampoo. It’s quick (about 30−45mins), pleasant (Jason is a really great dude!) and high quality (I’m always satisfied with my haircut). Plus, the rates there are very affordable. I recommend going here if you’re a guy looking for a nice sharp haircut that’s affordable, high-​quality from an experienced stylist with a cool attitude. WAY better than Supercuts!

If Jason ever leaves this place, I will go with him! He’s been cutting/​coloring my hair for yearssss now. I only go back to LB for him! Gets it right every time. He should be working at a higher end salon imho: D

Went for a gel manicure after seeing posted around campus for $ 10 dollars (Holyshit batman, that’s a good deal). I already had gel polish on, was told she would charge me extra for soaking it off, $ 5. Okay, I’ve never had to pay for that, but okay (also, we were mid process when she told me). What’s even better, even though I paid extra for it, she didn’t get all the polish off
So I pick a colour, pale pink. and she starts doing my nails. The first coat looks splotchy, but I am optimistic that the second coat will fix it. It doesn’t. I don’t know if it’s how she was applying the polish or the polish itself. It looks bad. If I wanted a manicure that looks like it did it myself in a dimly lit bathroom, I’d do it myself.
Not worth it… Go somewhere else & pay full price!

Ask for Jason, he was my hair stylist for two years and never did he disappoint! You’ll find it hard to find a more affordable haircut that doesn’t suck around these parts. All the staff are very friendly and they take good care of their customers.

Always loved my haircuts from Jason. I came here for years as a CSULB student, and continued driving up from OC for a few years after graduating just because of how well of a job Jason always did. Only stopped going when I moved too far away to keep coming back.

I’ve been coming here since I started school and I have to say that I really like how they cut my hair here. The first time I came here I had a blonde lady, Kathy, I believe, cut my hair and I liked how she cut it! I brought a picture to show her how I want it styled and she did it! Or at least something similar, but I was happy.
After, I came back I had a guy named Danny cut my hair and I really liked how he cut my hair as well. He did my eyebrows and he was nice enough to give me discounts for being a regular.
The guy who cuts my hair now is Jason. He’s really friendly once you get him to open up and funny. He’s been cutting my hair for about 4 months now and I like the way he does it.
It may be a little pricy but I am happy each time with my hair so I am willing to fork out the extra cash.
They shampoo and condition your hair as well.
I pay roughly $ 23 for a men’s cut.

I don’t know her name, but there is an older blonde lady sometimes there in the afternoon. She cut my hair last time and I liked it, very nice, feminine, and safe. I think the cuts are very good from these two people, but this place fails by not having top-​notch service. Still my go-​to place if I want something friendly

I got a Mani Pedi yesterday and it was $ 28 bucks. It’s all ready chipping a lot. The service was ok but the quality sucked.

You have to make an appointment to not be disappointed. And request Jason. I’ve paid $ 100+ for cuts not so good. Whether it be a picture or just a verbal description, he gets it everytime. Super bargain!

I went here as a walk in today and the lady promptly took me for a hair cut. She was really friendly and I really like how she cut my hair. The down side is that if you want blow dry and stuff it’s about thirty dolloars or so… but I’m satisfied with my haircut! :)
