Been to all kinds of barbershops and salons. The cheap ones and the expensive ones too. Nobody comes close to the boys at Deluxe. Ray is the only person I go to, to cut my hair, but all of them are definitely CRAFTSMAN at what they do. It’s amazing what a proper cut can do for you, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

cool shave and barber shop! havent seem a place like this before, very cool. Sip on a cold brew while you wait. Cool interior design, similar to an old school barber shop from the 50’s.

These guys are awesome. A old school vibe. Time spent perfecting every cut is topped off with a hot towel and straightedge trim around the edges. Can’t help feeling like I just spent a half hour at a spa.

Deluxe Parlor is the go to spot if in DT Long Beach or anywhere within a 10 mile radius and need a haircut or clean shave done right. Richard has been cutting my hair for several years now. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. If Richard wasn’t there I would have Ray or anyone at the shop cut my hair before I go anywhere else. Been loyal to my barber now for years and until I go bald, I doubt I will be going anywhere else. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. Let him know what you want or if you arent sure ask them what they would recommend. I always make sure to make an appointment before going in. That way I’m not sitting around waiting much drinking up the free beers all day. Seriously though try this place out, you won’t be disappointed.
Free 2 hr parking across the street in the structure.

I want to like this place, it’s right down the block from my office and the haircut I did receive was top grade.
However, two big detractors will keep me from returning.
1. Cash Only– It’s 2016 and they just opened, really?
2. It seems uncertain when they can actually see you even if you make an appointment, my schedule unfortunately runs a little too tight for that. I made an appointment the first time and waited about 25 minutes after it’s start time, I tried to call ahead this last time and asked if they had availability for «now», after saying yes I double checked the wait time and was told about 20 minutes???

Been getting my haircut from Richard since 2013. Excellent experience everytime. If you want service, don’t go here but if you want the best haircut experience then this is the place for you. My son is will now get his cuts here. Ray did a great job with son hair and also dealt with great patience.

This is exactly what Downtown/​Pine ave has been missing. It seems like they really have a passion for what they do. The location is great, and the vibe in this place is on point. Ray cut my hair and made me a customer for life. This place is Legit and I would recommend it to anyone.

Zoooeeyyy!!! Gave me my first cut, smooth fade, shaves the neck… it’s an old school feel with a new school twist. Locally owned and non corporate. Sweet mosaic bar using pennies instead of tiles. 1st time haircut gave 30% off. I will be returning to this fine establishment.

Lil Ray is easily one of the best barbers in Long Beach. Highly recommended. $ 20 cut, beer and hospitality.
