Live one block away from this establishment and if it weren’t for Unilocal I probably would of never gave it a chance. Went there today, around lunch hour, was greeted by the most kind staff, who you could tell enjoyed their jobs. I ordered the carne asada burrito, and was waiting no longer than 4 minutes. One of the fattest, tightest burritos you’ll find in North Long Beach, for sure. Not to mention they’ve got a killer raw meat selection as well.

Burritos bomb, tacos bomb, if you like your meat well done all you have to do is ask, onions and cucumbers drenched in lime juice and a killing habanero flavor sauce complementary.

What took a year for me to stop here, probably you wouldn’t think that a market made great authentic burritos and tacos. No air conditioning or space to eat. I usually look for a/​c if I’m going to spend money out.
I think La Colima has one of the best carne asada burrito’s in town. It may be a little salty for some. Their carne and pollo is supreme. The Ranchero steak is divine, super red in color, fresh, and delicious. It comes un marinated, which I prefer, except for North Gate Market. I have also bought their Cornish hens which had Rosa recommended. The hens are large and marinated nicely, not too much and just right. Just bake it in the oven and you’re ready to go.
An addition for me, as a foodie, were the Mexican cookbooks. Love this market.
I haven’t tried the Horchata, but my neighbor recommended it and this market, thanks Paula.

Chiquis sent me here! Lol. I believed her when she said the tacos were bomb! She forgot to mention the burritos were bomb too! One of the best carne asada burritos I’ve tried in a long time. I only prefer salsa verde instead of red sauce but it was still so good. The big — o grilled chile was so good too! I ordered 2 carne asada tacos & a carne asada burrito (no tengo hambre huh) lol.#bombisky. I will be back for sure and try other stuff when ever I come to Long Beach!

This place has the best al pastor ever!!! My family come her at lest twice a week! I also get al pastor tacos and husband get burrito!!! Best Mexican food in town!!!

This place has the best tacos ever. The meat is fresh and very flavorful. Love it because I can walk there at nite whenever im craving tacos.

Shawn C sent me! I got a carne asada burrito and carne asada meat to cook later at home. The burrito was delicious, only critique is they put too much rice inside. Otherwise it was well seasoned and the salsa inside was yummy too! Please check out this place.

I went to this place by accident and I’m so happy I did… the carne asada tacos are to die for!!!

This is a cute little neighborhood market located on the busiest street sometimes you have to bob and weave just to get into the parking lot when the traffic is heavy.
It’s a pretty low key area the parking is limited on the lot at times but there is off street parking available as well.
FYI:The neighborhood might be interesting at night I would advise non residents to visit earlier in the day. I have never had a problem but I know Long Beach very well.
After visiting the doctor today I stopped by my new favorite place to get my grub on its Carne Asada Burrito time people.
I ordered a Carne Asada Burrito with beans rice and cheese asking the chef to put red and green salsa inside the burrito.
I took a bite of that fat juicy burrito the meat was tender with the right amount of chewiness the rice and beans flavorful and seasoned to perfection.
I added American cheese and it made my burrito a mess of creamy cheesy chewy spicy deliciousness so good that you would slap your sister to get a taste of it.
I should know because I slapped my sister then quickly ate her food before she regained consciousness. Lol
They have tacos and tortas here that taste so good I always order 3 to go and sit outside to eat them drowning them in that fantastic green salsa that’s so delicious you will want to buy a pint to take home.
I come here for the for the food but they have so much more this is a fully stocked market with an old school deli that serves up every cut of meat that you desire.
Huge jars of pickles and more await you.
Chicharrones fresh out of the hot oil crunchy and delicious perfect for a mini taco topped with pico de gallo.
This market has a little of everything you need soda milk water candy deli meat pastries ice cream fruit specialty vegetables and more…
This is truly a hidden gem in the heart of North Long Beach.
If you haven’t tried this Carniceria get over here you are missing out on great food I guarantee you will love the food this is my second year eating at this spot and so far everything I have tried was really good.
They don’t have a menu they write what they offer up onto a wall you order with the cashier and the chef makes your order right in front of you and the smell is intoxicating.
If you don’t like their food then you definitely don’t know what’s good to eat hang out with me and we’ll do a food crawl…

This review is on the food only… not the market… but happy to say that haven’t been disappointed yet. The tacos and burritos are good.
They take phone orders also, thats always nice =) (day time only)
At night they close down the tiny market and open up a window where you can order your tacos.

Best carnitas around, they cook carnitas everyday and I’m never disappointed, there burritos are good too

I go by this place on mornings I ride my bike to work and have never stopped because of the early hour. Today I found my self in the vacinity so I just had to stop. I had the carne asada tacos and they were good. Nothing special to make a special trek for but they were tasty. They cook the whole marinated flank steak on the grill and chop it up after (how its suppose to be done). If I am in the neighborhood again and am feeling hungry this would be a good go to place.
By the way the burritos were 5 bucks.

but in the end. its all the same meat.
sooo… i guess everything is just mediocre. but i would say.
try it! it isnt the best youre gonna get. but it isnt bad.
i like their rice. (even though its dry. when mixed with their red salsa and carne. it doesnt make a bad meal)

My local neighborhood taqueria and a great one at that. It’s a small market/​taqueria. One or two little tables set up outside. Go place your order, grab yourself a drink from the market and get ready to enjoy some yummy little tacos.
The taco’s are consistently delicious and quick. I’m an asada taco fanantic so I can’t review anything else but I’ve NEVER been disapointed with the food. They have asada, chicken, lengue (must order 4), carnitas and I think one more. They do 1 dollar tacos, burritos, sopes, and I think that’s it. I’m not a huge fan of salsa on my tacos so I can’t review that. I’m a cilantro, onions and lime juice kinda girl.
If you are in the neighborhood and hungry stop in. The staff is always really nice and welcoming and they are a market as well so your drink choices are not limited.
Belly up to the meat counter and order yourself a couple of lovely tacos and enjoy your day.
