Carvel

I don’t know if Carvel’s quality has fallen so far that this is their new norm, or if this location just doesn’t bother trying in the winter. I’m hoping it’s the latter, as I’d hate for yet another childhood delight to have been «modernized» beyond my ability to enjoy it.
I stopped in here to get a few pre-​made ice cream cones to go in order to bring them back home to share and enjoy at leisure. Unfortunately, not only did the gentleman at the counter not listen to me when I asked for all-​vanilla, but upon sampling the cones at home I discovered that the actual cone had the consistency of soggy aged cardboard.
I’ll give them one more try, but I’m severely disappointed in the quality I’ve found so far.
