Place to booze, food is not awesome food is not bad at all. Only food thing to know, order the crunchy chicken wrap, trust me, it is damn good. I don’t give a damn about anything else there, Order that wrap it is awesome.

Where to start? I came here on New Year’s Day at about 6pm. There was live music which was nice, and a crowd of men smacking each other in the face and throwing beer at each other which wasn’t so nice. The bartender seemed to love it as he was feeding them shots of water and cheering them on. After watching the boys smack each other around and the bartender play on his phone and giggle, we were served after 10 minutes of waiting. We ordered some beers on tap, which were fine. We also ordered some food as well which was pretty decent and big portions. However, when we finished our first round of beers and tried to ask for another we waited for another 10 minutes. The bartender continued to play with his friends and his phone and seemed to only be serving people who needed a canned beer refill. For the finale, after finally getting our check, the bartender handed it to us and literally stood right in front of us as if demanding payment right away. It was rude and uncomfortable to have someone stand over you as you fumble for bills in your wallet because you’re rushed. All in all, food was good and service sucked. Perhaps the bartender should be at a frat party… or work at Verizon or something. Cheers to a new year!

I recently went to Minnesota’s for an engagement party and had the best time! Great staff, amazing food a great place for an event! There’s a large dining room for a sit down dinner or a side room for a cocktail hour. Would definitely recommend!

It really stinks that out of the 3 timesy boyfriend and I have been here, we had issues twice. We live 30 min away, and after a great meal our first time, we wanted to go back. The second time, service was very slow – we didn’t order drinks for at least 10 min. Most recently, we called ahead to make sure the kitchen was still open. We were told that the kitchen was open until 9. Wr got there by 7:30 and we were told it was closed… really too bad you lost two patrons.

Food is simply not good. I understand if one shows up to a place like this looking for a 3 Michelin Star experience they are setting themselves up for failure. At the same time though I would hope the food to be edible. The meat is as tough as the bouncers attempt to be. Will not be back for food, drinks, or for twenty grown men on steroids to stare at me for 3 hours.

Was having the best day in Long Beach until we came here! Went on Sunday night and it was way over crowded and staff was SO rude — especially security. I will not make the mistake by going to Minnesota’s again and giving them my money. No thanks!

Went to Minnesota’s for my bachelorette party with friends from out of town. Waited for about 2 hours for a table after being told the wait would be about 1. The bar area was dirty, floor was sticky, and the bathrooms were a disgusting mess. Hostesses were not pleasant or reassuring at all– they would barely look at us when inquiring about the table. Finally we were sat and service continued to stink there. The waitress barely smiled or checked on us aside from taking dinner orders and bringing the food. Not only were we not offered even an apology, we had to argue to get into the club without paying the $ 10 cover even though we had been there since 6 o’clock. I was embarrassed that I suggested Minnesota’s and will not go back.

Let’s face it. Every Long Islander has been to Minnesota’s for a drink or three when in LB. I’ve been here many times to drink beers or every drink the margaritas they used to serve in Patron bottles. This weekend, I tried the food. i didn’t even realize Minnesota’s had food, as I’m usually a hot mess when I stop by here on Irish day. Anyway, it was a 10-minute wait, so we headed to the bar inside. Loud, drunk people around me… eh. Beers are the usual suspects and their light counterparts… eh. I’m no beer snob, but I’d appreciate a coupe decent craft beers, not Blue Moon. We get seated and the table is wet… ew. Our waitress was pretty good… in the beginning. She took our drink and food orders pretty fast, and the food came out fast too. The menu is surprisingly good, ranging from the usual bar food to tacos to a variety of lobster rolls. You had the option of making your fries truffle for $ 2, which I of course took. I had the chicken tidbits, and thank god for the huge amount of fries it came with, because it was just bad. Bland and soggy, it was just a disappointment. My bf had the chipotle lobster roll and he devoured it, but like most lobster rolls, this one was tiny. The fries were great! Thin and crispy, not drenched in truffle oil and not caked in parmesan. The frozen mango margaritas were yummy but super weak. More like a fruit smoothie. The waitress seriously disappeared after that. We waited 15 – 20 minutes to flag the busboy down for the check. Then the machine that processes credit cards went down… another wait. I begrudgingly tipped her, she was that bad. Overall, Minnesota’s won’t be getting my business anymore. The west end has too many good things, from Beach House to Swingbelly’s down the road.

Came on a Sunday to see Ricky Roche. Way way way over crowded. We were seated outside, other tables were way too close together and my friends kept getting slammed by other people’s chairs. Food was good, i ordered a jalapeño chive lobster roll. Not as spicy as i expected but still tasty but very expensive at $ 20. Drinks are lacking and again overpriced. Bar was a filthy mess, the floor was soaked in booze and you couldn’t even walk to the bathroom. Crowd was very«douchey» as mentioned in other reviews. Avoid this place on weekends, might be okay during the week.

On a beautiful sat afternoon my family and myself decided to have dinner at Minnesotas and enjoy the outside dining area. The fact that it was the only place in the area that was not busy and did not have a wait should have told us something. We were seated by the entrance before we even sat down the hostess was gone. We moved to another table on our own accord. The service was horrible. We saw our waitress once to order and when she brought the check. She was busy talking with her friends the entire time we were there. There was no kids menu, the mussels were tasteless. Needless to say the food did not make up for the horrible service. I guess that’s why they do not do as well as other restaurants in the area. We will not be going back.

Today was a gorgeous day and as soon as my son got out of school we headed to long Beach to enjoy lunch with somewhere that had outside dining. Minnesota ’ s came up on my trusty Unilocal app so we headed there. I was really surprised to see the amount of other diners on a Wednesday lunch. The first employee we came and contact with said seat your self we headed right next to the little fish pond. We were greeted quickly and are drink orders were taken. I asked for a childerns menu and she said they didnt have one. Which is odd because Unilocal reported this as kid friendly. Unfortunately, that was the end of our timely service. The other server was near us so I asked what she suggested for kids and she immediately offered me a kids menu. 10 minutes later are lunch order was taken. Are food was delivered by what I believe to be the manager he was moving around more than are missing in action waitress. He was very polite and helpful. The lunch was good. Are waitress never came over to ask how it was and eventually we had to hunt her down to ask for something else to drink. The other waitress seemed a lot more attentive and capable of handling a sunny day rush. I asked her for our check so we could leave.. honestly we could have walked out without paying an I am pretty sure she would have not noticed. Overall it’s in a great location(horrible parking) and my son really enjoyed the coy pond we will come back later in the summer and give them another shot. New menu coming May 1st

I have been coming to Minnesota’s for years as a long beach resident, and this bar is one of my favorites to go out with all my friends and family. Unfortunately there was a gentleman named«Scott»(I would bet he wasn’t honest with his name to myself or my friends) who was working the front door who was rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I hope this isn’t the direction that Minnesota’s is deciding to take as myself, my family, and friends attend quite often. I enjoy spending my time there on Sunday’s during the winter listening to Ricky, but will not be subjected to the awful survive I encountered tonight. I hope that as an establishment Minnesota’s will try to employ better people who are more respectful to their guests and my guests who i wrongfully chose to bring tonight. I expect better better as a long beach resident and more importantly as a paying customer.

Now I’m going to try and be as unbiased as possible here, but just a forewarning, I’m writing this review based on a one time visit to Minnesota’s on Irish day. I headed to Minnesotas with a group of friends and before we even entered the establishment we were told that there was a 20 dollar cover… seriously? 20 dollars? I’ve been to strip clubs on a Friday night with cheaper cover charges than this. This was the omen that we should have just gone somewhere else, but either way, we all payed the cover charge and entered. I was actually pretty surprised at how big their dance areas were. There were also multiple Bars where one could buy drinks so that was good too. I also couldn’t help but to notice though, that all the guys and girls looked the same. For the guys: extra small shirt with some tacky design, eyebrows overly done, fake tan, and a corny combover gelled razor cut. The girls: fake tan, skimpy outfit, and some high heels. I guess this place really catered to a specific crowd. Anyway, I headed to the bar and I ordered around 40 $ worth of drinks for myself and all my friends. Not wanting to blow the rest of my cash so quickly I tried to put it on a card. Upon seeing my card the bartender(short, chubby, black hair) gave me this really nasty disgusted look, threw his hands in the air and growled that the minimum was 50 $…WTF!!! You’ve got to be kidding me! I have never been to a place with such a ridiculous minimum set before. And aside from this, there weren’t any signs clearly indicating that the minimum was 50, so that attitude was clearly not necessary. I gave him the cash and left. Soon afterwards I had to take a sprinkle-tinkle and so I decided to try and find the bathroom. There were two tiny bathrooms and the lines were insanely long. I thought to myself«why wait on this line when there are three perfectly fine port-o-potties right around the corner purposely brought for Irish day!» So I made my way to the exit and was told that I would not be allowed back in if I left… Seriously?!! I just dropped a 20 on the cover, 40 on drinks, and I can’t come even come back? For 60 bucks I would expect the bouncer to happily hold an empty cup for me to pee in, and then ask me if I wanted him to Shake!!! screw this place. The staff is awful and the bartenders take their job way too seriously. If you want to go to a place where you’ll get ripped off, and treated like shit, this is the place to go. personally, I would rather have my eyeballs gouged out than to give these m*****f****r’s another penny.

Who needs to go to the city when you have such delicious food at your fingertips!!! Minnesota’s has such a fresh, fun, appetizing menu. I couldn’t decide what I wanted to eat… it all looked/sounded that good! We ordered the Mango BBQ ribs which I’ll be raving about for a while, chicken wings — another win & for entrée I ordered the«hot» lobster roll w/Jalapeño chive butter… All I can say is HAYADOIN’!!!

Horrible, horrible service. I called this place to ask if they take reservations and the girl who picked up said no, BUT that she would take my name down and put me on top of the waitlist when I did show up. I told her I was coming with 14 people and she told me not a problem. I don’t know if it was miscommunication or just plain disorganization but when I showed up the day of my event they had no record of me, ever. The hostess even said that she was there the day I called and never heard anything about the situation. In retrospect, I should have taken down the name of the girl I spoke to, but I guess I overestimated this place. Luckily, my friends and I went down a block to a place called The Inn and the service there was amazing — they whipped up a big, upstairs area in ten minutes after I came to their doors freaking out because everyone was already on their way. Great staff, good food, good music, lots of room, amazing service — go there for a good time in Long Beach. Forget Minnesota’s.
