It’s been almost two years since our wedding, and I can still say that hiring «As You Like» to be our coordinator was one of the best decisions we made. After our first meeting with Donya & Vanessa, my fiancé said to them, «We haven’t yet even paid you yet, and I can already tell this is the best money we will spend on our wedding.» He was totally correct. Neither of us initially planned on getting a coordinator; our ceremony & reception were relatively simple (no readings, no garter/​bouquet toss, no cake display, etc.), so we figured we could manage it ourselves. We had plenty of friends & family members who were offering to help out in any way they could, so we could just delegate tasks and run the show on our own. Needless to say, we’re both SO GLAD we decided to get a coordinator, and even happier we went with AYL.
Working with Donya & Vanessa was a great experience. I gave them a call after reading their review that said «not only did I have a worry-​free wedding, I walked away with a friend.» I really liked that. After working with them, I can totally understand why this is. They are funny, passionate, calm, relaxed, hard-​working, organized, and all-​around just great people. Donya and Vanessa have been friends for years, so they have an incredible working relationship. They’re there because they just truly love weddings, and they thrive on helping make the big day possible. From the beginning, they emphasized that this would be our day, and they would be there to help in whatever way they could. They gave great guidance and suggestions, and knew exactly when to be our sounding board and when to be our advisors.
Donya was super organized with coordinating our vendors and the schedule leading up to the wedding and making sure to work us through a checklist so we had everything set. She and Vanessa did a fantastic job working our rehearsal while the public was still there (our wedding was at the Long Beach Aquarium, and we had our rehearsal during business hours). They were instrumental in making our wedding day a truly wonderful, fun, and memorable day. Without them, there is no way we would have stayed even remotely on schedule, and I know we would have been basket cases dealing with all the variables. Instead, my fiancé and I were able to enjoy being with our guests and each other; we were all smiles that night. We had several guests tell us later how great Donya and Vanessa were; they said they were super on top of things and knew how to hustle guests to where they needed to be, but still were a riot and a lot of fun. That is them to a T.
If you are even remotely considering a planner/​coordinator, I highly recommend giving AYL a call. If you’re thinking, «Meh, I probably don’t need one, that’s an area where I can save $ and do it myself,» definitely give them a call. My fiancé and I were totally of that mindset, and I cannot emphasize this enough, we’re SO GLAD we hired Donya and Vanessa!

Simply Amazing. I recently hired As You Like to assist with service during our wedding. We received a referral and could not have been happier. Dee/​Donya was so friendly and helpful during the process of getting details worked out. She catered to the specific needs of my special day and was encouraging through the process. She also mentioned that she provides day-​of coordination, which we did not use, but based on the level of professionalism and charism that she exhibited towards me and all of my guests, I would not hesitate to recommend any service this company provides. The staff was dressed perfectly, and the girls were genuine and took their job seriously. They also worked with us on our budget and are VERY reasonably priced for the level of service they provide. If you need any type of service staff, don’t look elsewhere! Thanks Donya for all your help and support to make our special day a success.

If you are thinking of planning and/​or coordinating your wedding on your own, you are insane! A wedding professional is truly the best wedding investment that I included in my budget.
Most brides see planners as an optional expense, but As You Like… is well worth every cent. As a matter of fact, due to the amount of money, headaches, and stress that she saved me, her services far exceeded the money that I «invested.»
Not only did I have a worry-​free wedding, I walked away with a friend. I will most definitely hire As You Like… for future events.
