My favorite dinner spot on LBI. All the chicken dishes are very good. We had our rehearsal dinner here and I couldn’t believe how accommodating they were.

Being a group of 7, we were very appreciative that they accepted reservations with merely an hours notice on a Saturday night. The service was excellent. From the moment we walked in, our server was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. As far as the food was concerned, it wasn’t bad. But perhaps not as good as everyone expected. Being a North Jersey guy, I’ve been to a ton of really good Italian resturants and Robertos isn’t quite on that level. I wouldn’t go back for the simple fact that there are better options at a cheaper price point.

I have been coming to Lbi for 24 years and this was my first visit to Robertos. Friends have told me this is their favorite restaurant on the island. Now I can say the same. We were a party of 6. From the minute we entered to leaving the experience was excellent. Friendly service, Roberto was their and came over to chat, introduce himself. He is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. The food was amazing. Two of us had the veal saltimbocca. The veal was so tender and delicious. Another friend had the special fish which was an orange roughy. She also said it was delicious. All meals are served with a house salad and site of pasta. I will definitely be back and tell all my friends.

Great food. Nice atmosphere in the dining room, although the restaurant appears to be located in a converted house. It can give you the impression of eating in someone’s living room. Try the veal, I’ve had it multiple times and it’s always tender and prepared perfectly. The meals are on the pricey side but worth the money.

Very very rude! Considering the fact that we had a decent sized party and spent over $ 1000 at this restaurant one would think that they would at least pretend to be nice. Instead they were actively rude, seemingly going out of their way to express how inconvenient it was to serve us! On top of the attitude they sneakily conned more money out of us with our salad coarse. The menu says all ‘meals come with pasta and salad’ so when the waitress asked us what kind of salad one person said caesar and she said okay. She then went around the table taking our orders and asked if we each wanted the cases too; with no mention of an upcharge. When we received our bill there was an extra $ 70 charge for Caesar salads, because they were $ 10EACH!!! $ 10 for a small side salad of lettuce which she never mentioned was more. I have worked in the industry my entire life and I have never seen this blatantly sneaky practice of upping a check. The manager Kathy(a middle-aged lady in the purple dress) was the worse offender who clearly sets the tone for this miserable wait staff. This whole experience was appalling and we will NEVER return to this establishment.

I ordered Veal Saltimbocca. When it arrived, it was obvious that it had been sitting in the kitchen quite a while. The scant amount of sauce on it was well on its way to fully congealing. No chef, even no waiter, should have ever allowed this dish to leave the kitchen. To top it off, the pasta marinara was lukewarm and tasted more like ketchup that Italian sauce. I rarely return a dish, but this was a no brainer. Considering the prices, I recommend you skip Roberto’s. I’m beginning to believe the captive Shore audience is the only thing keeping many of the high end restaurants afloat. Finding a good burger is a lot easier

We vacation on LBI for a couple of weeks every summer. This time we decided to try restaurants where we’ve never dined previously. Big mistake. Roberto’s Dolce Vita had virtually no ambiance. The noise level made it impossible to carry on a conversation and it was extremely difficult to place our order. Acoustics is a real problem in this establishment. We were greeted cordially and we told the hostess that this was our first time there. She told us that we’d enjoy the restaurant so much that we’d definitely come back. NEVER! By the way, this was the same person that ignored us when we left as she was busy chatting with diners at another table. She didn’t thank us for our patronage or ask us if we enjoyed our meal. How rude! We shared some type of tomato and mozzarella salad appetizer. It was small and tasteless. The bread served was one small sesame covered roll. Not even warm and barely big enough to share. We each ordered pasta dishes. One was their signature bolognese served over linguine. The other was marinara served over penne. Pasta prepared al dente is a preference of ours. However, this tasted like it came straight out of the box. The salad that accompanied our meal left much to be desired. Limp greens with bottled dressing. Not even a croûton to be found. We passed on dessert and each of us ordered a cappuccino. Nice presentation but they were both topped with an abundance of cinnamon so that you could barely taste the coffee. The highlight of the meal were the two little cellophane wrapped candies that came with the check. Roberto’s leaves much to be desired!

We wanted to order take out. I told the women no rush we could wait 50 minutes to 1 hour. I called to see how order was after 50 minutes… she never even put the order into kitchen. Apparently she was owner, as I asked to speak with owner. Very upset, we canceled the order for 10. She was not friendly, and was not nice. I will NEVERGOTHEREAGAIN…

There were four of us. The server was very helpful and attentive at all times. 3 of us had specials. All of the dinners were excellent. Menus prices were resort reasonable but the specials were pricy. I ordered stuffed shrimp and it was very good. I have to note that they only gave you 4 shrimp.. As usual the servers never give you the prices of the specials when they recite them. To my surprise they charged $ 35 for the stuffed shrimp special. Now if they had given you 6 shrimp I would say OK that is fair but to only give 4 shrimp and charge $ 35 is a bit excessive in my opinion. Would I go back, absolutely.

We love this place. BYOB keeps the cost reasonable and it is a little more dressy than some of the deep fried Beach Haven tourist traps, but, not so dressy to be stuffy. The staff is always wonderful and attentive. The service is fast, but not rushed and the food is very good. Salad comes with the dinner so be careful on the appetizers. The menu looks shorter than it actually is. They give you a selection of preparation styles and they can be applied to a steak, chicken, pork chop, whatever. The atmosphere is nice. You can tell that it is a frequent small group destination. Families and groups of 6+ are there as are deuces and four-tops. The mixture of groups lets you know it is a nice place to celebrate a birthday or to have dinner and chat just between the two of you.

B.Y.O.B. Quite place & friendly service. When I’m craving italian; theres a certain homemade«something» I’m looking for; just didn’t get it here. Ordered the bolognese w capellini & a chicken parmesan; it was so so ;(They made a steak for the lil’ one that was not even on the menu so that was nice but that was the best dish at our table! Over all not impressed.

True Italian! White linen tables but not fancy, just great food. BYOB. We had the veal franchise, which was cooked to perfection. Not to heavy on the egg dip either. Salad and side of pasta was also just as delicious. My date had the bolognese sauce, and he’s Italian too. We both agreed, one of the best meals we’ve had in awhile-anywhere. GO!!!

Quite good, not cheap, attentive service. One of the higher end restaurants on LBI. The bacon wrapped scallops are delicious, and I enjoyed the shrimp francese. Dessert was awesome…

Great Italian restaurant. BYOB. The staff is great and the food is excellent. We started with the calamari app that was light and fresh. For the entrée we had a grouper special and the stuffed shrimp. Both were delicious and cooked perfectly.

Great Italian restaurant! I vacationed in LBI for a week and after all the seafood we were eating, my family and I were looking for some good Italian. Roberto’s had been recommended to us and we were so delighted with it that we ate there twice! It is a BYOB with prices consistent with most of the other restaurants on the island. The staff is friendly and both times we went we were sat immediately. The dishes we sampled were all delish… we had the fried calamari, shrimp puttanesa, linguine with red clam sauce, linguine with white clam sauce, pasta with shrimp, clams, mussels, and scallops, pasta pesto, and veal parm. The cappuccinos are great as are the desserts. We sampled a chocolate mouse cheesecake and the ricotta cheesecake. Highly recommend visiting Roberto’s.

This is a first rate restaurant. Great northern Italian cooking at very very reasonable prices. The sausages are the best I have ever had. Service is good and the whole ambiance of the dining rooms are nice but the new addition is a bit noisy. Since it is a BYOB dinner with a couple of bottles of store bought wine is more than reasonable. We have been going here for years and have never had a bad meal. One of the best on LBI.
